Unfortunately I did not have a good experience during my time in this community. One of the things they mess up was my medication. I wasn't pleased with the meals. The food needs improvement. The staff was alright. They did a good job with the cleanliness. Due to my experience, I would not recommend this community.

Living at the Pheonix of Delray is a nightmare! Run, Run, Run ! They are gutting the inside of the building and conducting demolition in vacant units. The noise is very stressful and having a very adverse effect on the health of the elderly residents. There are major security and exterior lighting issues. New people are moving in, and then moving right out. People are very unhappy living at the Pheonix! My intention for writing this review is to spare anyone from the grief and aggravation and misery of living here!

Spacious, quiet accommodations. Lowest priced unit are not available. Add meals, maid, internet & landline (required for medical alert) & the prices increase greatly. Meal was delicious and served but cumbersome to arrange & pay.

[removed] 1 year contract. 60 day notice to move unless dr note that they need assisted living. Not as accomodating to assistance as Meadowlakes. Mom knew someone who lived there who complained about the cold, long walk to dinner. Construction also a turn off.

I am so upset about moving my parents to Verena. The food is horrible. The Chef has no idea how to cook! Meat is too small and always over cooked and dry. There is no selection and what they have has no taste. The wait staff have improved but the turnover is practically daily, with numerous entire staff walkouts. They've had many occasions where the management staff have served Breakfast and lunch in a buffet style. The Executive Director is mean and unhelpful. She comes across as nice but it is fake. She told us that if we do anything she doesn't like, that will cause her not to like us. My parents are scared to death to upset her. No way to live. The residents who are there, stay, because they like the others that are there. The director spends money galore on inconsequential items. Everyone is really upset about her. There was a survey done and she had the worse marks. Why she is still there is dumbfounding!
