Trinity Health Senior Communities

The facility is very clean and staff are very friendly. My loved one was scolded for pushing the call light button when she felt she was going to fall. Independent living is only for those that need no help except in case of true emergency (heart attack). If you need help, you hire it at a significant price. Staff are not equipped/willing to handle falls. They did not call family when she did fall, even when she fell repeatedly. Her falls were an emergency due to a shunt failure. She should have been in the ER 3 days sooner. The care we received from the hired home health was great except the few times their staff failed to show. When resident called to notify of a no show, supervisors DID arrive to cover care. Independent living is truly for those that are independent. The food was very good. My loved one was happy with the activities, all were in house - no outings. Independent living is [removed]/month or more. Any personal care is extra thru contracted company and is $[removed]/hr. For [removed] you have 2 meals, housing, and care of apartment, social options. You do your own laundry, independent of all care. She could have hired that care in her own condo. So for her it was not worth the cost. If person is independent in mobility and has no memory issues and wants a community, it is a good, clean, caring place.

They allow family to support and visit their loved one just like visiting them at home an opportunity would be to hire more trained medical staff for the assisted-living side to ensure appropriate execution of doctors directives are followed. St Joseph is trying to address the medical staffing opportunity. They have recently hired another nurse supervisor and have the second supervisor two days a week in the evenings available for the residence.

The community is very clean and the staff members were really friendly - however it did seem like they needed more help during meal times to assist the residents who needed help with eating. It is a pretty expensive community .

The food is really good. The nurse manager Tabitha works well with family concerns. We really have to keep talking to the staff to address her care issues. I like that there's a hair salon on site, and she contacts you right away if you leave a message. They've gotten better with cleaning her room. The staff seem sweet to her. I would recommend this place.

I have already referred friends to this community for their loved ones. The value is good. The staff seem to be pretty friendly. The overall experience has been good for us. The staff communication with the family has been okay. They were short staffed when my loved one first moved in; however, they are making progress on the staffing for the community. The meals have been okay. There are three meals a day served to the residents.

We had a great tour experience with Glacier Hills, the facility was beautiful but HUGE. I knew that if my dad came here he would never leave his room because of how large it is. There was no way he would be able to get around without having someone help him. It was kind of set up like a dorm room with hallways and each floor had an activity area. They did seem to offer a lot of great activities. It is so large that they actually have a rehab center connected to it. I think this would be a great place for those who are more independent.

Very good to help me walk and get in and out of my car.

Woodland Village would have been perfect had we not toured the place we ultimately chose. Our end choice was a premier facility beyond any that we toured in the activities they offered and the common areas they had for socializing.

We do with they could not comingle the memory care residents with the physical therapy residents because it makes it very difficult on them. However based on our experience so far we would recommend them to other families.

They are very welcoming and it's best for an elderly person who is fairly independent and mobile. Also I really like the location. Very close to the hospital. My Mom has fallen a couple times and they've been very attentive The staff is very friendly and helpful. I especially like the maintenance man, [name removed]. He goes above and beyond. It gives me peace that it's Catholic. I love the images of our Blessed Mother on the grounds and how easy it is to take the sidewalk to the church.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a lovely experience, but the hallways seemed super long and we just did not want our loved one to have to walk long distances to get to and from places.

I think it's a good place for what they are providing.

We had a good tour with Villa Marie but it was not going to work out because they are not staffed 24/7.

I know they used to have a skilled nursing or whatever it is called; but they no longer have that, and just offer assisted and independent now. They have a new executive director, too, from what I gather. Our family had a good experience. The apartments (when mom could still live on her own and get around) were very nice, clean, and came with things like cable and underground parking. When she was in assisted, they took good care of her. Very responsive to her needs and whenever she pushed her call button. The food was good, and the physical therapists were very patient and encouraging. It sounds like their nursing wasn't great; but they are definitely good at the other types of senior living; so it's probably best that they are concentrated just on that now.

Our loved one is in a large double size studio apartment, it is expensive but it is worth it. We are now getting the sufficient communication we needed that was lacking at our loved ones previous community. The staffing is down like at a bunch of other communities, but they do their best and there are staff members there that have been there 20+ years which is reassuring. The doctor is only miles away from the community, which is much better. The doctor and his team give us all the feedback we need to know about our loved one, and they understand our concerns regarding their health.

Had a very positive experience here at Mercy Circle. Loud in the morning; had a hard time sleeping.

Six members of my family own homes in Evergreen Park.

1. The majority of the CNAs are very good 2. Everyone is friendly and helpful 3. Enjoy being able to go to Mass Monday - Saturday 4. The food is good with variety 5. You can't be bored because there is always something to do 6. I wish breakfast was later in the morning around 9am or 10am, possibly a continental breakfast.
