I recently moved my 90 year old mother into a studio apartment at Sanctuary at Villa Marie. My mother loves it! She said the food is very good and especially enjoys the desserts. We have had to be a bit creative with storage of clothing, personal belongings, and placement of furniture due to the size of her studio apartment, but so far so good! Although Mom has only been there a week, she is extremely comfortable and says she feels at home here. She enjoys many of the planned activities, and has made several new friends. This welcoming environment has made the move from her previous home of 27 years an easy transition for both her and myself. The clean, homey, and friendly environment of Villa Marie has made this decision to move my mother a positive one for both her and her family.

My dad had to find a place, fast! His wife was 'tired of taking care of him'. We found sanctuary by chance and thank our lucky stars every day! All the staff love the residents, the food is pretty good, and the residents themselves formed a welcoming committee so that the first week you have a buddy to get you comfortable. I can't say enough nice things and after my dad got settled he loves it too!!!!

Sanctuary at Villa Marie is very clean and well run. The meals are excellent. There are activities for people to enjoy which are posted each day near the dining room. The rooms come in different sizes. The smallest has its own bathroom with either a bath tub or a shower, a good sized closet and a room which is big enough for a bed, dresser, reclining chair, small refrigerator and several bookcases.

She is very happy there her whole attitude has changed. I am so happy we found this place. The food is good, she says the food is so yummy all the time. It's just great!

The meals are great, people are friendly here, repairs are made quickly, administration is efficient, friendly, and helpful; the activities are useful and interesting for people my age; Overall, it is a good value for the money I pay.

We think it's wonderful. It's a beautiful facility. It meets our needs. she enjoys it, loves it there. The staff is excellent, superb! It was our best choice for her. They are worth every dime. They take them shopping and and doctors appointments. They have activities all the time. They have a sanctuary for church and they rotate ministers every week. They have three meals a day. The food is good. She has a kitchen in her apartment so if she wants to make her own food she can. We chose it because if her care needs ever go up and we end up needing assisted living it is available there.

My loved one really seems to enjoy it here, I'd give them top marks across the board. It's a lovely looking community, and the staff and residents are all very friendly and welcoming. Everyone really seems to go out of their way to make sure new residents feel welcome and included. They have a good variety of activities and really encourage everyone to get involved.

We were in the independent apartments. He got his food and his meds and took him to the doctor. They had a home care service that was great to help with meds and any assistance he may have needed.

Very satisfied with this facility. Very friendly atmosphere. Everyone is very helpful.

Very efficient and caring environment.

My mom lived here for about 4 years in independent living and she loved this place. She was in the choir and all sorts of activities and made lots of friends but her Alzheimer's was getting worse, they had varying levels of care so when she fell she went from zero to their maximum level of care and it wasn't a lock down so she was getting out in the night. We knew we were going to have to move her from that because her alzheimers was getting worse so we were going to move her to a different part of Saint Pauls but after her fall (in the Alzheimer's unit you had to be ambulatory which was amazing but I think it's because it's an older facility and they couldn't get wheelchairs through the door) but she progressed to the point where she couldn't be here anymore.

We're very happy here. They come in and clean his apartment for him, he has no problems. the dining room is clean and orderly, the public bathrooms, the ones we've used are always very clean and its nicely decorated. They're very friendoly and greet us every time we walk in the door and if we see someone in the hallways they always say hi and they tell us how much they love my dad. They're like family. Everything is above what we expected, we had known one other person who was living there before we took our dad there and he recommended it highly to us as well as his family. Everybody that ive talked to has been very happy with it. When my dad first moved there he didn't really get involved but once he lived there for a month or so everyone was very friendly and invited him to activities and he's really enjoying it.

My mother recently moved to Sanctuary at Mercy Village. The staff is wonderful and attentive. My mom loves it there. It is an adjustment for her after living in a rather large condo, but her apartment appears to fit her needs at this time. I like that it is securely locked at all times and that they have various levels of care. I, also, like that they provide water and coffee in the entry/lounge area to keep the residents hydrated.

The staff at the sanctuary is excellent they are really good. They have a great location and worked fast to make sure my dad was comfortable. Everyday just reaffirms my decision in choosing them. They are in a good location and all in all it’s been quit pleasant.

Lovely community! The staff was very friendly and knowledgable, they really helped me to feel comfortable. Part of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra was there for an event - that impressed me. I really had a very good feeling overall about this community and hope my mom is a good fit for them because I'm sure that she will like it too.

very nice and would love to move her in. Turns out to be complications around Gayle and we are going to have to turn to a different type of housing. Everyone was great and so friendly.
