My mom has lived at Spring Haven for several years and has recently been infested with bed bugs. Roaches have been an issue for a while but they can’t seem to get rid of them. They are in moms kitchen and bathroom. My biggest concern is the bed bugs! They are everywhere in the facility!! Beware! Don’t move into Spring Haven because they will try and charge you for pest control when it’s not your loved ones fault! They have done a lot of renovations but I’ve still seen them in the dining room.

Stay as far away from this chaos as you can. It starts at the top. Turnover is rampant. It’s an us versus them community. There is no respect or empathy. Credentials for aides is non existent. Workers do not respond, even to the alert system. I personally witnessed a man fall to the floor and the available aides barely looked up from their cell phones. The general manager is caustic at best. What ever happened to managers wandering around the facility saying hello and chatting with people. I’ve led a great professional life and I’ve got to say this was the worst experience of my life. Hold your loved ones close, they may be afraid to say anything.

Bayside has turned into a nightmare. The room was not cleaned upon move-in, and some fixtures needed repair, even though they had a month before scheduled move-in. None of the staff that was on board when we arrived is there now - turnover is incredible. They charged for services not provided to the tune of 3k in a 6 month period, with no attempt to rectify. He was charged for one month twice and incurred bank fees as a result - not reimbursed. Emails and phone calls go unanswered. Reported to BBB and they neglected to respond to the complaint. No PT options in-house and because they are not paying providers, care levels are decreasing and are unacceptable.

Overall my experience with this community was not good. We were not told that one resident rents the room, and the other rents the living room and they share a bathroom/kitchen. The facility was not clean and the staff was not helpful. The facility looks very dull and not a homey feeling. This community needs major improvements. However the staff at the door are very friendly.

There was no chatter between residents in the dining room during our visit. The residents didn't look happy. Some of the 1 bedroom suites had 2 doors to the hallway, and this was concerning for us. The staff were nice that we met with.

It was a very old facility, and seemed very old fashioned. They did have huge apartments with big kitchens.

I would not recommend this facility. It is overpriced, especially for the quality of care. Some of the staff were good, but others would yell at the residents and even use profanity when yelling at the residents (my sister witnessed it). There were absolutely no activities. Their only entertainment was TV, other than a musician that would come and sing for the residents on Thursdays. They don't even have an activities director. We also had to supply the toilet paper, which was baffling to me. The director of nursing is in charge of housekeeping and the housekeeping is not great. The room never felt truly clean. My parents ended up getting Covid and we were assured several times that after quarantine, their room would be deep cleaned. That never happened and I asked about it several times. The only positives I can add is that the bus driver was nice and the food was good. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Not happy with my mom being there moved her. Missed meals. Very rough showers took 3 months for payment to be taken out. Still waiting on refund. Had to take mom to hospital for UTI. Had gone to far. No one answers the phone. Hardly anyone at desk. Would not recommend them

They are in the process of fixing things at the time but the place is very nasty and is still very dirty. The hallways are not vacuumed and we had to have corporate come up. There is a trail of something from the trash area and has been spilled and not cleaned up. They just in the last few days cleaned the hallway and mopped where the mess was. They pulled everything out and cleaned the trash area. When talking to another residents here we felt that they may have bugs and I am being eaten up by bugs. When I told them I felt like there was lice here we were told that they had issues previously. We try to keep it as clean as we can and we are moving at this point. They are not licensed for independent and the assisted living people are scattered everywhere through the building and I do not think that is a good idea. I do not recommend this community. The administration staff are rude and do not deserve the job. The food is also not good and I feel

My Mother is a resident there and I know first hand that this facility has totally gone downhill since new owners took over last fall. There is a total lack of communication, a lack of staff, and the emergency call buttons do not work. This is the second time my Mother had to call 911 for help because no one at Balmoral would come to her assistance! Do not consider this facility for your loved one!

This place is dirty, go by the dumpsters you will see how it is. They show you what they want you to see. Fine Dining? Yea Right. Do your homework before you decide this place is a good home

I was not impressed by what we saw on our tour at The Oaks. The facility was terrible and not clean. Staff were few and far between. The entire building was seven floors, and they only had one working elevator the day we were there. This was not a place I would want to put my loved one.

I would not put a dog here. This community was no comparison to the other facilities I went to. The tour did not meet the criteria, and it just seemed run down and with a smell. The price was the same as other facilities also.

I'm so tired of not being able to have good food to eat...I need a refrigerator mine is rusted and doesn't do it's job..I've been promised one....when......there's a big double standards here.....it's never constiton

The director of nursing's daughter was dispensing pills to patients and my uncle believes she stole some money from him and other residents. The cleaning person could not keep up with the roaches in the kitchen. My uncle was in independent living they did not provide much care. If my uncle fell all they would do is call an ambulance but not help in any other way. The food was always cold. A lot of times they did not have enough food for all the residents.For a short time he needed meals brought to his room the food was minimal at best.

We selected Bay Side terrace because we were assured my sister would have 24/7 care due to high risk of falling . She had 3 consecutive falls, the LAST one caused a fractured wrist and she was close to a facial reconstruct surgery. We moved her to a different facility. We feel she was been neglected.

My Mom was in this place for 8 months this place has an infestation of bed bugs and if you love your loved one stay as far from this place as you can. They don't have enough things for them to do and the food is terrible. The Director woll not even eat the food which says alot. There are much better places out there. Stay away from this place if you know what is good for you.

was interested in living there but on two occasions the first being after a tour discussed possibly getting single room, discussed with marketer was told by her would talk to her partner good with numbers early the next week and get back to me never did even after several times calling to speak with her never called back. also when i finally got hold of her told me had to be put on waiting list due too not enough paid patients fine, then asked when how long she told me to call on Friday after ten am did so but she was " on a call" so left number to have her call back to see how long and surprise never did here it is three weeks later no return pissed ! finally about calling back and to call back her words not mine. Horrible

The place was crowded and parts of the building and the apt we viewed reeked of cigarette smoke. The ceiling was exposed in the hall due to construction.
