Our visit to Pine Ridge at Hayes included lunch and an opportunity to go over the community information that we had received through the mail. Director was our guide and throughout our visit, made us feel welcome (there were never 'too' many questions)! Although this community was smaller than Town Village, there was a nice feeling of 'home'. She particularly liked that everyone had their own screened in porch. The downside was that there was no pool or separate exercise room and that the building itself was not as modern and new as Town Village. Distance from the rear apartments was quite a trek to the dining room/ front door.

This appeared to be an older community and the apartment I saw needed updating. All on one floor, it was easy to navigate inside but right on the main road. Yards were small and also needed sprucing up! The Director was very nice.

I found Corby Place very clean and had a good lunch. Everone very frindly. Some place I will concider in the futer.

EVERONE WAS NICE. WOULD NOT HAVE TRANSPORTATION TO MY DOCTORS OFFICE. FACILITY EAS CLEAN BUT DARK NOT SUNNY AND BRIGHT. AT LEAST WHAT I SAW.

Lots to like, but rooms are rather dated and showing signs of neglect and disrepair. Too easy access from the street to the porches which feels unsafe.

The staff is friendly to the residents and they have a lot of good activities. This is a good place as long as there is no need for special care of any kind. They do not keep track if residents are attending dinner or report if they notice any health issues. The assisted living area is poorly operated. I would not recommend Ashford Court if you feel any extra care will be needed down the road. Heed the warnings of others and myself about the Director ([Removed]). I thought he was a pleasant person when we first dealt with him. However, he was the main reason we chose to move out after a year. He is dishonest and disrespectful. Deal with him only in writing!! He made up a rate for a larger room. After dealing with him for over a month, we managed to get a rate which was $1,000 dollars less. But his demeanor was so alarming that we chose to move anyway. The staff is friendly and good to deal with in person. They are not good at returning phone calls. Over the course of a year, I heard several staff members complain about the Director and also Holiday Retirement. The chefs changed along with kitchen staff so food was not consistent. It ranged from excellent to poor on a regular basis. Lastly, the overall building could use updates. There were roof leaks and ants in apartments. I feel like the maintenance tried really hard, but were hindered by the top management. I will not deal with them ever again as long as the current management is in place.

The food is horrid, they are short staffed, although the aids & some of the nurses are very good, they just don't have enough people there to help. They have the state minimum of aids employed there, and most new people hired, leave because of the heavy work load, and lack of respect from their boss. The ones sitting behind the desks are the ones to be concerned with.

They reel you in with false statements and promises, the staffing is inconsistent, sometimes the med techs COOK, laundry is overflowing.. they’re too cheap to hire the right staff to do the jobs..sometimes they’re so short that our loved ones miss showers, but staff lie and say they gave them. Make sure your loved one can talk because god knows how they’re being treated. My mother stated she was manhandled by a staff and nothing was done. I don’t know how the ED and nurse are in charge of this place they are a bad combination I’ve been there and hear the gossiping where is the professionalism?! A lot of dark stains on the carpet and urine smells.

Many workers there were fabulous and did a lot for the clients, and you could tell they personally cared and enjoyed taking care of them.

Not a place for a hospice patient. Short staffed. Medication mismanagement. No documentation of a fall my mother had that broke her femur. If you are a senior needing very little amount of assistance then I would recommend. If not, steer clear. It is a shame what our elderly community have to endure during their time of need especially when you are paying a fortune for care. I wish now I would have brought her home. Very few staff that actually cared about their residents and showed compassion.

The community didn't explain the billing procedure very well to the family and there was a lot of staff turnover. This caused a lot of misunderstanding in billing for the family. I wouldn't recommend the community to others.

Try to schedule a tour, but no one got back to me. We drove around property and seems to be a bit out dated.

Business is business at Ashford Court. If you are hospitalized for a time, or in rehab, Ashford still charges you the full amount for meals and services that you do not use. The accounting is confusing and changes. You cannot get a straight answer about your bill when it changes. Ashford is always pushing a new way for them to make money.

My mother was at Holiday-Ashford Court for about 18 months, but I have now moved her. She made some good friends and enjoyed many of the staff. My mother enjoyed living at Ashford Court. While at Ashford Court, there was a long-term power outage during a storm. My mother fell in her apartment in the darkness of the evening. She laid on the cold floor all night until she could crawl to the door in the morning crying for help. Someone heard her in the morning and she was taken to the hospital. No one checked on her in the darkness during the loss of power. She could have died. Although this is not a requirement by contract, the management knows that the tenants are elderly and need additional oversight in such situations. The building has a nice appearance, but it is very difficult to get answers about financial questions. It is difficult to get a straight answer or information. There have been times that I could not get a return phone call. When I stopped by the offices to get answers, I got rude replies without proper documents or professional explanations. My mother lost thousands of dollars because of confusing information or late replies to financial questions. In my opinion, the bottom line for Holiday-Ashford Court is that money is most important. I have discussed these issues with corporate managers and the bottom line seems to be profit over clients. A multimillion-dollar company could not find a way to help a 95-year-old woman with a refund for misunderstood payments. My mother spent about three months in rehabilitation due to illness. She was not in her apartment. Holiday-Ashford would not allow a change in service charges or the discontinuation of optional services like laundry and meals. Previously, she could stop services during medical care and lower her costs. Holiday-Ashford did not have to provide services or food, but they refused to help a poor old woman by reducing the costs. They continued to charged hundreds of dollars for services and food that were not rendered or needed. Ashford took every dollar that they could from my mother’s bank account before they provided me some answers about the financial charges. Ashford had all of the money before I could examine the charges and raise any objections. There are plenty of other places that will care for your loved one. In my opinion, I would never again put my loved one in such a place.

We moved my father into Ashford Court 5 years ago. The staff there are nice and friendly. About a year ago management changed to Holiday Retirement. Since then the mood has changed for the worst. Employees seem disconnected from the residence. The worst part is his rent has increased from [removed] when we moved him in to [removed] now. Contracts don't matter, they make up their rules as they go. I hate to move my father around at this stage in his life but I don't know what to do.

Over priced. They tell you one thing and then jack the price up with there point system. No thank you.

We visited this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. We did not like the look of this one at all. The people seemed very friendly, but the decor and atmosphere of the facility just felt dark and depressing.
