Our family had an in person tour and the staff members were phenomenal, however it was not a good tour. We were not impressed at all, it was not clean and there were fowl odors everywhere. It was very dark and depressing from an physical aspect

I love the actual facility. It's a historic property with tons of natural light. There are lots of outdoor spaces and indoor community spaces, which is a huge plus. But they are having some staffing challenges, both in caregivers as well as all the way up into nursing and administration. The turnover has made it very difficult for them to provide a consistency of care for a resident who is unable to care for themselves and/or communicate their needs very effectively. If your loved one can do a lot of their ADLs themselves or advocate for what they need, your family might have a better experience. With our loved one's challenges, any time there's a new staff member, they're not trained on what her deficits are and don't do a very good job caring for, so we have to be on the lookout for that constantly. I haven't tried the food, but it looks pretty good to me. When they're able to offer activities, activities have been lovely. But they're struggling so much with staff turnover that it seems that's one of the first things to go by the wayside. They are one of the more reasonably priced facilities in the area, but the quality of care might be the give and take there.

Staff was very likable, and seemed to nkow one another and the residents. Downside, was the layout. Very long hallways, which we felt would be difficult for [name removed]. Studios seemed a little small, but workable

We chose Red Bluff Senior Living because they were willing to give her the best value to move in and it was affordable. The apartment sizes seem plenty big for what she needs. Maintenance could use some improvements, they had a lot of issues with their AC over the summer. I do also think they could improve the quality of the meals that are provided. The staff is very friendly and before the virus they did seem to have a lot of good activities. Overall, it is a nice place but I think there are some things they could improve on.

Ashford Court is beautiful facility and it is fine for people who are more independent. The staff members were very caring and the facility was very clean. The food here was delicious, they had great cooks. My husband needed a little more help than they were able to provide. We did have issues with his medications and it seems that they didn't have a good staff to patient ratio sometimes.

I wish my mom had more money to work with. I talked with a person named [name removed], I believe. I felt she was very compassionate on the phone and in the future, if the financial situation was to get better, I would like to check this place out. I talked with her for a good half hour. Even though she knew my mom could not afford this facility, she was nice enough to recommend a few other options. Very nice person!! I would have given a higher mark had I gone in for a visit.

My mother was at Holiday-Ashford Court for about 18 months, but I have now moved her. She made some good friends and enjoyed many of the staff. My mother enjoyed living at Ashford Court. While at Ashford Court, there was a long-term power outage during a storm. My mother fell in her apartment in the darkness of the evening. She laid on the cold floor all night until she could crawl to the door in the morning crying for help. Someone heard her in the morning and she was taken to the hospital. No one checked on her in the darkness during the loss of power. She could have died. Although this is not a requirement by contract, the management knows that the tenants are elderly and need additional oversight in such situations. The building has a nice appearance, but it is very difficult to get answers about financial questions. It is difficult to get a straight answer or information. There have been times that I could not get a return phone call. When I stopped by the offices to get answers, I got rude replies without proper documents or professional explanations. My mother lost thousands of dollars because of confusing information or late replies to financial questions. In my opinion, the bottom line for Holiday-Ashford Court is that money is most important. I have discussed these issues with corporate managers and the bottom line seems to be profit over clients. A multimillion-dollar company could not find a way to help a 95-year-old woman with a refund for misunderstood payments. My mother spent about three months in rehabilitation due to illness. She was not in her apartment. Holiday-Ashford would not allow a change in service charges or the discontinuation of optional services like laundry and meals. Previously, she could stop services during medical care and lower her costs. Holiday-Ashford did not have to provide services or food, but they refused to help a poor old woman by reducing the costs. They continued to charged hundreds of dollars for services and food that were not rendered or needed. Ashford took every dollar that they could from my mother’s bank account before they provided me some answers about the financial charges. Ashford had all of the money before I could examine the charges and raise any objections. There are plenty of other places that will care for your loved one. In my opinion, I would never again put my loved one in such a place.

My Father did not like this facility because he felt like there was too much walking to get to places. The way the rooms were set up seemed very odd. They were square rooms but it was at an angle. The bedrooms didn’t have windows and you couldn’t close the door to the living room. All of the staff members we met were very good and I would recommend this facility to other families.

For the time that my mother in law has been there she has been treated very well. My husband's mother is just at that stage of life where she is very hard to please. The community offers quite a few activities and social hours but she chose not to participate in any of them not because the staff doesn't encourage her to do so but because she simply doesn't want to. She doesn't like the food but my husband has eaten there and says the food taste food The staff is friendly patient and kind. The rooms are kept clean and maintained.

My mother is doing pretty well adjusting since her move into this community. The meals have been kind of a hit or miss, some are pretty good and some not so much. I would say the cleaning and changing of bedding have been great. My mother really appreciates the gals cleaning. The biggest disappointment has been in medical portion.I was lead to believe it would that there would be more medical attention available but it is just one RN Monday through Friday and then one on call for the weekend.

My parents have both lived in this facility for several years. Activity quality has gone down hill. Food quality is bad. Many times the "hot" food items are basically at room temperature. Several times they have ran out of one or more of the food items before everyone is served. Most of the employees are friendly and helpful. Landscaping could use some help.

No. Apartments are too small and does not have an assisted living component if needed in the future. No 2 bedrooms available at this time either.

My mother lives here and the maids are unprofessional and come to work dressed like they are going to a ball game. The food is lacking and the meals are that of a child leaving her hungry hours later. They are raillery aloud to ask for more food because there is most likely not enough food for that. they charge extra to have meals brought to the room unless you are ill. They are trying t get better team members, they truly are, but time will tell.

impressed with decor and pts. seem well cared for. i am an RN at a local hospital- we got a pt. who was found lying on the floor at this facility for 24hrs.(?) with no one checking on them!...needless to say - that burst my bubble!

Upon entering the facility we found it to be clean, but rather dark, not as bright as the Garfield facility. We understand the facility is older, however, felt that it could use lighter, brighter colors throughout to make it a little more cheerful. The unit we were shown was nice, but the cupboards were very outdated. The staff we met was very welcoming and seemed to really enjoy their work.
