Worst place ever. I should never have put my grandma here. I am glad I was able to move her to a better facility.

I recommend anyone considering placing a loved one at this independent living facility look closely and do a little digging. I’m so floored that this site advertise daily cleaning, offsite activities, and companionate staff when I have experienced nothing but the opposite. Granted they do have a few members that work here fitting this description, but most do not. The food is anything but enjoyable and seems that they hire someone new every other day...

Independent living is nice and grandparents really liked it. Please do not let your parents and/or grandparents live in the assisted living portion. They are severely understaffed. If there is a fall or other accident, your poor grandparents will wait for 30 minutes or more and end up calling 911 for help. The ambulance will get there before the cardinal village staff. I’m not sure why they have a call light. The weekend staff will actually ask the residents to not pull the cord because there is only one person staffed. The nurses agree they need more help on nights and weekends, but greedy owners won’t pay for help. At more than $4000 per month for a crappy little apartment, you are better off living in independent living and hiring a full time aide. Have had multiple meeting with the director, but nothing changes. Please save your parents/grandparents the hassle and heartache and find a different place.

I refuse to even deal with anyone at this location we had such a horrible experience there. If there was a negative rating that is what I would give this place. I had my dad there a little over a year ago and it was the worst place. The nursing staff along with the other staff is horrible they don't care about the residents. I had to take my dad out of there because for multiple days they let him sit in his own filth and due to that he devolved a skin irritation. Due to my dad physical challenges, he is supposed to have someone assisting him with showering well one day when I went there to visit and I found the aide was sitting on the bed watching his tv and when I asked her where my father was she said in the shower knowing that he wasn't supposed to be left alone. The facility itself was clean it was just the staffing that stinks.

Very poor maintenance. Toilets always runs. Have to close the bathroom door to sleep. Move in sheet items never fixed. Charged for new carpet after only three weeks occupancy. New manager never available.

Very disappointed. House keeping was terrible, my father's sheets were not changed once a week. His bathroom was hardly ever cleaned. He went outside and was locked out until 3:00 am when he was noticed sitting outside (more than once). Management very unprofessional, was spoken to very rudely and even hung up on twice. Hidden fees on move out, and still waiting for full deposit refund after 3 months! Terrible way to treat seniors.
