I liked this place very much. Warm friendly atmosphere. Number one on the list so far.

Met with the director who showed us everything and I mean everything. We all sat down at the table and he went over the report. My brother and I were impressed with the services that they can provide. We were impressed with the layout of the Village and the pricing as well as all that they can offer. This place is my first choice of the three that I've been to on this list. My brother was impressed also.

We were very pleased either the card my mom received there . My mother had since past in December and she was at another facility that was not as nice as yours. The care we received there was wonderful, the facility was always clean, staff was always friendly, the meals were always warm and that is lacking in other facilities.All in all mom had great care there and if our finances had been different we would have kept here there .

Our family had an in person tour and it was a really good experience

It has absolutely been a positive experience. The only issue has been that my loved one is very high functioning. He still drives and is very independent. And he would like to see more intellectual type activities. They have a lot of bingo and a few other things. But it's just not as intellectually stimulating as he would like. And really that's the only thing that makes it not perfect for him. But he raves about the food and tells me it is excellent. He likes the floor layout of the apartments and the services they provide (cleaning, etc.). He feels they're very reliable. And everything seems to be in good working order in his apartment and the laundry facilities.

I chose Ashford Court because the facility is all on one floor and the one bedroom that I got is on the end and large large. The staff members were also very friendly both times that we came to visit. They could use improvements on the food, that is one of my biggest complaints. Overall it has been good and I would recommend to others who are looking.

We chose Ashford Court because they had availability during covid when we needed it and we needed memory care. It was also a convenient location and a very clean facility. We did have an issue the first day we moved our loved one to memory care, he was able to escape and walk around the streets. Other than that issue, I think it is a really nice place and we feel they are getting the care they need here. I would recommend them to others who are looking.

The community is a nice place to live for the money in that area. I would definitely recommend this community to others

My parents moved from their home of 50 + years to Corby Place. Their home in the country was built on land where my dad’s family lived growing up. The move was a big one. We had heard from others that had parents in Corby Place. They all raved about it, so it was high on my parent’s list. Since moving to Corby Place in early 2020 they quickly came to love it. The staff is so friendly and caring. They always have time for any request and always seem to go that extra mile. When I have had questions about their care or apartment, they are always very responsive and do anything within their control to help. It has given myself and my siblings peace of mind knowing they are in such a wonderful place. We were all impressed with the accommodations, the rooms are very nice and airy with a ton of natural light. All the amenities such as food service, housekeeping, and laundry have been very nice. (They also allow for them to do their own laundry if they prefer.) My mother feels she is eating in a restaurant every day given the quality of the food and the table service. The staff also works hard to develop activities to keep them engaged. With the recent pandemic that has been a bit of a challenge, but they have done what they can while keeping everyone safe. Their staff has established protocols on cleaning and building access to keep my parents safe. I really appreciate how they have stepped up to this challenge. When the pandemic hit, I was concerned about my parent’s potential for exposure. Given Corby’s response, I feel they are keeping them safer than if they were in their own home dealing with the day to day of life there. I would highly recommend Corby Place to anyone thinking about moving to Independent Living.

We've been very appreciative of the support we've received in video-chatting with our mom every week from the staff and director at Ashford Court in Westland, MI. This means of communication has helped keep our spirits high during the time of coronovirus and it's always a relief and a joy to see mom with a smile on her face!

Very nice inside. We just toured. The room was very nice and good sized. We liked the patio for mom’s flowers. Staff seemed very friendly.

I am very pleased with the caring staff and friendly residents. I believe my mom is much happier being around all these kind people instead of home alone. She has yet to join in many activities, but we're working on that. Not using the care services yet, but they are available when we need them.

My parents lived in independent living for about 4 years until their recent passing. They really thrived while living there. The staff were wonderful, and truly cared about their well being. It was a nurturing and safe environment, and they enjoyed the social interactions with the other residents. They were quite helpful in helping me arrange additional services for my mother as her Alzheimer's disease progressed.

Mom made new friends her first morning at the Brentmoor. She wished she had moved there years earlier, when she was even more able to enjoy the freedom of having meals prepared for her and help with cleaning and laundry. With the help of hospice care, she was able to fulfill her desire to die at home, with family and support at hand. She enjoyed group exercise, bingo, movie nights, and dining with company every evening. Neighbors helped her and she helped others - a loving environment of and for fine ladies and gentlemen.

I agree with other reviews that the building is outdated and could use a few million in TLC updates. However, what I care about is my mother's happiness and she could not be more pleased. While she had begun to consider moving the choice was made for her by an unfortunate fall. These are often hard to accept. The result, however, is that she is "SO happy!" She has made many friends, loves the food, the staff, and her apartment suits her needs. It is not what she'd like (two bathrooms, three bedrooms), but what she needs, and she accepted that remarkably fast. The price is affordable and convenient to her friends and family. I cannot recommend the Brentmoor enough. My mother has had a wonderful experience and that is the only criteria I need.

We knew nothing of Sr. Living establishments when we started looking. We made 5 choices based on location in proximity to our children's home. Of the 5, Brentmoor was the ONLY one to greet us in a friendly fashion when we entered--not only by staff but also by residents who were passing by. There was not a sour face in the group. The apartments were large, airy, and clean. The hallways were short and there was indoor parking. It was not until after we moved in that we found out that the food is not only delicious but served by friendly staff. Actually, that was not a surprise because all the staff--from the lowest to the highest member--is wonderful. We've been here almost two years now and have not changed our minds.

My mother in law is at Pine Ridge Hayes. Her experience has been fantastic. They are so kind and caring and there is always something for her to do. The meals are very good. Everything is older but is always clean. The main thing is the staff. They treat her so good and keep an eye on her. If she doesn't show up for a meal they always check on her. Families are always welcome and can be included in everything. We live in another state and really enjoy all the pictures on Facebook to keep us in the loop. Thank you staff for the wonderful job you do.

It was very clean and would have been a good place had my mother not had Alzheimer's. They have an ala carte menu service and it is a great retirement. We saw lots of people talking and the staff was happy.It's perfect for someone retiring, it looked like a very good place.

I absolutely love it here at this community and I am very pleased with my apartment. It is a perfect size for me and is located right next to the laundry room so I don't have to go into the cold to get to it. The staff provide us great activities throughout the week and transportation to and from stores so we can get shopping done. Overall it is a very peaceful environment and I have no complaints about my stay.
