My mom's good care

The community is very nice and we like the staff that is always willing to help and makes improvements when needed. The community is clean and the menu is really good with a lot of healthy choices. I like that she is active with the other residents. I would recommend this community for good care and value for other families.

Highly recommend.

Staff memebers are great. Very helpful, friendly and caring. They made my fathers's move-in process very easy, providing me with the paper work and the information to complete it well in advance. The facility is quite new and is very well kept. It is by far the cleanest facility I have assessed for my father's care. My father is in a memory care, studio apartment. He tells me he enjoys the ample space he has, and that the food is consistanly very good. He enjoys the staff he interacts with each day and says "everyone here is very friendly." A real "plus" for me is the option to have my father's doctor visits and lab work completed on site, and to have direct access to his daily care notes, Dr. visits, and lab results via the internet. I would highly recommend people looking for a senior community to consider The Waters of Plymouth.

The Waters was beautiful! This was in our top two. This was geared a little more towards independent living that the one we chose, and this only does two meal a day instead of three. This was just a little more upscale and fancy for my parents to feel comfortable. Really beautiful though.

The facility looks beautiful, brand new and clean. Everyone we talked to was very nice. The rooms seemed to be good size. Activities sounded good. Had chosen to go there but Mom was beyond their capabilities. Views facing south were city/highway, but interesting. Views to the north and east were woodsy. No matter the room you could see both in common areas. Dining area seemed nice, not too big, very cozy. Liked the facility and staff. A little pricy but worth it.

Happy with our choice

The facility is beautiful and well maintained. The food is excellent and they have a wide variety of food choices. The staff are very friendly and helpful. However, at times it seems they are under staffed as it does take some time to get staff to responded to a request. The Waters is a wonderful community. The residents seem very happy and at home there.

Review for The Waters of Kingsley Shores and Kingsley Place

Overall the experience has been really good. The residents are wonderful and instantly welcoming. I've heard that is not the case everywhere but my mom had so many people ask her to join them for meals and come pick her up to take her to activities. Very warm and welcoming. The nurses and aids have been wonderful too. For the most part they are all extremely kind and seem to give cues and reminders about meals and activities. The size and layout of the apartment is great, the size and layout of the building is great. Always very clean. My mom has been impressed with the food. That may change after she's been there longer, but so far she's happy. I do think that the people I deal with on a regular basis could be easier to work with. My mom's care and feelings are the most important and that has been great.

Overall would recommend

I think all of the staff are great. The dining probably works ok for the residents, but is limited for guests. I'm a vegetarian and there is about one option per meal and it's the same, so I don't eat there much despite my mom asking. The dining experience is great. The place is very clean and comfortable, the apartments are nice, the activities are good (but could still have more variety) and my mom is fitting in well. Best of all, its 2 blocks from my house, so I can take care of my mom easier.

Very nice community

The staff is very welcoming friendly and helpful. So far the food has been great. Lots of variety and The Culinary department is open to suggestions from the residents. There are plenty of activities whether it's games, music from a religion or just coffee time with other residents. There's also a happy hour on Friday afternoons. I give this rating because the rooms themselves are a little outdated but the building itself is kept up to date even though it's 20 some years old. I do have a washer/dryer in my unit and that was important to me. There are rooms available that have a balcony or patio or also a gas fireplace. Mine does not have any of those amenities. I also don't feel I was giving much of a choice of rooms when I moved in. It seemed they only had one available for me although I know after I moved in there are a lot of other new residents so I'm not sure what the situation was there. I definitely do not have one of the nicer rooms. The bedroom is good size the living room is a little small the bath/ shower is nice. Lighthouse keeping is done every other week at no additional charge to your rent. And one meal is included per day and no additional charge.

My Waters of Kingsley Shores Review

I chose to stay at the Waters of Kingsley Shores. I found out that prices were about the same everywhere in the area. I've made friends here. The new administration, which took over in August, tries to accommodate requests. Our rent by [date removed] will be $[fee removed] more than when we moved here. The $[fee removed].per second resident will be raised to $[fee removed]. We are charged a $[fee removed].fee just to live in AL even though we don't require assistance at this time. The facility is very close to our daughter. We don't have the energy to move right now.

Review for The Waters of Oak Creek

The staff in memory care is wonderful. I was not as impressed when Dad was in assisted living. It was great he stayed in the same apartment, but among other things there were staffing changes going on at the time we were moving Dad to assisted living and I had to follow up a lot or I felt he would have fallen through the cracks. My dad has lived at The Waters for about a year and we are on our 3rd medical director. I am hopeful the new one will stay. The director of the facility is friendly, but I feel he delegates my questions. This may be appropriate for his role, but I feel "put off" at times. The head chef in the restaurant is new. They serve a lot of chicken dishes. I don't know how much fresh fruit my dad gets so I try to bring that for him. Memory Care doesn't have a microwave or an ice maker, so that is inconvenient and the refrigerator in his room is dorm size, so the freezer is pretty much useless. We chose The Waters because of the location. The admission person, [name removed], is wonderful. The decor is bright and friendly. The ladies at the concierge desk, {names removed], are so welcoming, helpful and friendly.

I toured Waters of Eden Prairie during my search for Independent Living for my loved one. This facility was nice! I really like the lady who runs the facility, they had an art program, and the facility was very clean. However, I didn't get a very busy/interactive vibe from the lobby, which I think is really important. It seemed like everyone was in their rooms.
