My mother said the staff were very nice. However, she was not happy with the food and was expecting a nurse on duty at least sometime during the day. Somedays the nurse did not come in so there was no one who could do much if you were ill. We had listed the foods my mother would not eat but those were served on several meals with nothing given to her as an alternative. She had to ask for something else so she had food that meal. Very quite place and not much activity.

The people that care for my Dad are very friendly. It helped make the transition much easier.

I toured here when I was looking. They have their memory care in a much smaller area, and it felt kind of claustrophobic. They were also a good distance away, had they been a little closer I may have given them a try.

I think it was a bit over priced for what we got. They were able to manage medications, but they were always short of staff. The activities offered were fine. There was always enough parking. The food was excellent.

We have now placed my stepmother in Hampton Manor 24th Road, in Ocala Florida. They are still undergoing positive changes in the care of Altzheimers patients. I'm very happy that they provide care based on need but the financial burden is non existent! When our private funds run out they have the Medicaid waiver program. We no longer have to be concerned for the future caring of my stepmother. They even have the Hospice care covered. The peace of mind is priceless!! Going thru this journey has been emotional to say the least. The service that "A place for Mom" has given to me and my family is so awesome. ( I know that their staff are True ANGELS.

Visiting the sterling House of Middelton this is the place I would like place my mother it has all the ammenities that i look for it family oriented, clean, freindly and the most important aspect is it's very small with the "homey" feel to it.

That was nice, older and completely redone. It was clean. We went on a day that they were having an open house. The staff was really good about answering our questions. One gal stopped and gave us an individual tour. Everything was OK, but it was too big for mom.

The door was locked so we rang the bell for a little while and we saw the residents sitting there and the medicine cart was unattended. We rang for a good 5-7 minutes. Eventually the nurse came to the door and let us in. She didn't make any motion to move the cart or anything. There was a bit of humidity and a bunch of fans on. I asked her about it and she said the power went out. I appreciate the honesty with that and that they were trying to accommodate the residents as best as possible. There was a smell of urine as we were going down the hall. The people were nice though.

While looking for a suitable ALF for Mom, I decided the number one priority was "Location, Location, Location". I chose to tour Hanna Oaks as it was 4 blocks from her church and less that 1/2 mile from her home of 40 years. I found the staff and accommodations both friendly and suitable, although far from perfect. The private room chose was very affordable and perfect for Mom. The Administrator allowed me to decorate her room with all her favorite things (she loves butterflies) so that her arrival would be welcoming. They loved her room so much that they often 'show' it to others who are touring the facility. Mom has mild dementia and limited mobility along with incontinence. Assisted Living was the recommendation of her doctors. I live upstairs and work full time and my home was not deemed appropriate for her needs. Mom was confused and non-social at first but now she calls Hanna Oaks her 'home'. She has many friends and the staff all love her. She is the social butterfly of the group. Her 'church family' is nearby and she receives many visitors. I am on a first name basis with the staff and most of the residents. We often have 'snack parties' when I visit. I love Hanna Oaks! It may not be for everyone but it saved my Mother's life and gives me peace knowing she is well cared for and looked after.

Tour/open house and spoke to Alyssa. This is a possibility. Set up well, clean and maintained, responsive staff

I think the staff is very nice and caring but I don't think there are enough caretakers there. There are times I've been there and never see any caretakers and my Aunt is left sitting at the dining table or living room until someone comes to move her. We had to get hospice involved to have more care for her. Which is fine since she needs changing and bathing more often. The food does not look very appealing to me. I don't think my Aunt likes it that much either. Breakfast food is fine tho. The place seems clean but it usually smells in there. The room sizes are good but again they all smell bad. Not sure if it's in the walls or carpet, clothing or what. I am however happy that we found a place so quickly since my Aunt's health deteriorated so fast.

All I can say is the place is going downhill since they got bought out. They need more staff. If they got more staff yes I would recommend because everything else is awesome

They were a little short on the care she needed. She almost needed hospice but didn't qualify for it. Had numerous falls and last one put her in hospital again with no broken bones but contusions. After discharge from hospital to hospice she passed in a week.

I have a concern with them at the moment. Somehow my mom was able to wheel herself to the road in her wheelchair without anyone knowing. They moved her to memory care because of it. The food is not good and they've had times they did not serve what was on the menu. Otherwise, it's very clean, staff helpful and friendly.

The intake was good, they sold the property well, however the delivery wasn't. When I moved my mother's items into her room on Saturday all items were moved to another location without my knowledge, then it was a circus ?? to get to the bottom of that riddle. Then dealing with missing items, another nightmare. I asked for a portable oxygen machine for her, three weeks of exercises, finally I called the company on Tuesday, it was delivered the next day! Finally, there was a [Amount Removed] additional charge on the first bill, they charged [Amount Removed] per meal delivered. Because she couldn't leave her room for the meal period, because she didn't have her portable oxygen machine. Not my fault! I could go on an on, but does it really matter! That's what others can expect, and more!

Very little that the tell you about the place is not true. The meals are edible but the service is lacking and and poorly managed. Example is their menu which looks nicely printed but they should try to review it before they they write Alfredo sauce and then serve a red pasta dish? Staff on the floor is lacking example they give you a key and tell you to lock your medication then every time someone checks on the room but leaves it unlocked. Check for trash but only empties one container which they changed at least twice a day or come into room like me tonight at 9pm to empty trash when a person is in bed or resting? Very disappointed with what GV claims and what you actually get? By the way I just started there are many more misrepresentations. One last remark to mention, they have a computer that never seem to be working and the receptionist is often away from the desk and then they reprimand you for not properly signing in and out. The persons in charge are great at listening but …….

The villas were very nice with a screened in porch. The residents were very friendly and helpful. The staff was ready to help when they could.

The staff are very friendly and they've been responsive whenever asked to handle something. I wish they had the bandwidth to be more proactive. Overall they've been kind and helped with the transition and seem to be patient with my dad. The Food has been the biggest complaint. It's inconsistent in timing and quality. There has been undercooked bacon and the food is often cold. I don't expect it to be the Ritz but it also breaks my heart that I can't afford something better for my Dad.

It is a good facility compared to many others I have come in contact with. As with all of these facilities could use a larger caregiver staff.

I wasn't impressed with them. I was thankful they accepted my mom so quickly when she had no where else to go, but she never saw a doctor or their nurse practitioner, meds were never adjusted, it was difficult to get answers at times or even know who I should talk to. I had to ask what items she would need, they didn't let me know ahead of time.
