At the very beginning of our experience it was wonderful, they were very helpful in getting my mom in here, but it did decline due to covid. I do think they were trying the best that they could, but they did not try hard enough to keep the virus out, staff did bring covid inside of the facility. In less than 10 days after my mom was able to go out inside the common areas, she had contracted covid. They did let us inside to see her at the end of life.

I would tell people this community has a lot of turnover. They don't respond quickly to the resident's call buttons. The resident's rooms aren't cleaned like they should be. Before COVID the food was good when dining in the dining room. After COVID the food was delivered to the resident's rooms with little options. The dinner is served at 4 pm. There is no other option for the residents to eat. Lunch was finished at 1 pm. The meal times weren't spaced out correctly.

The communication is lacking with regards to medical changes with residents. A major medical change needs to be communicated to family members. A POA is not a guardian and does not have a say in who calls or visits a resident, A completed disregard for family members dealing with end of life situations. Greatly disappointed.

This has been a horrible experience for us and we are looking to find ourselves a new home we will not be going back to any community, The management here do not care about their residents. The food is horrible and the dining area is under staffed sometimes you wait up to 45 minutes for your dinner, there are very few amenities yet they do offer some field trips to go shopping. The staff, on the other hand, are fabulous they do try to help us and they are friendly and accommodating. We thought this was going to be a good move for us but now we see that most of the residents have just been put here by their families.

Even though it was some years that I had an experience here, I felt I did not want to tour this community. Based on the reviews the still did not improve their food. I did not want to put my loved one here if there was not a lot of activities and I did not get a good feeling.

I wasn't impressed with my tour of this community. There were many factors that played into where to move my mother to. This community I didn't feel was a good fit for her and her needs. It wasn't the place for us.

Our experience with this community was not a good one. The facility looks great and clean, there is housekeeping for the residents weekly. The aids at this community were great, they were very kind and helpful to my father. My issue was with the upper management and the way they misrepresented the community. The communication was not great between me and management. Good community, but the management needs improvement.

Beautiful place but we have been waiting for two months for an opening. They require a non-refundable $1200 deposit just to get on the "waiting list", which does not apply to the first month's rent!

We did not have a good experience with Amethyst Arbors. The one thing I was most unhappy about was that they were supposed to provide housekeeping, such as vacuuming and doing laundry, and they never did any of it. They just let my loved one sit in their room and no one would spend time with them. When I visited, I rarely saw staff around. I would try to call and talk to the nurse, and they were just not helpful or communicative. People just wander around and I was very unhappy with this experience.

We had about 6 years experience with The Peaks and a family member living there. Initially it was operated in conjunction with The Museum Of Northern Arizona. Upon walking through the front entrance one might first think that is still the case. The Director was a lovely woman who was a long time flagstaff resident. Unfortunately, as I’ve been told, her elderly mother needed care in Phoenix and she moved closer to help her. Enter [name removed], the new Director. The Goodman Group, management company, possibly came about this same time as well. The warm Feeling we had in the beginning was gone. There was a lot of turnover in staff. We had always heard that The Peaks was “The Premier Senior Living Facility”. After our second family member started to decline, much communication with the nursing staff, we moved our family member to a “group home” that was recommended by the Hospice agency. We had always thought a “group home” was a step down. What a mistake that was for us! Suddenly there were 4 residents with at least 2 caregivers, often 3. We had truly personal attention. It’s sad the decline that has manifested at The Peaks in the assisted living side. Would never in good conscience suggest someone move their family member there.

The apartment inside is old and stuffy with smoke. By first impression, the outside building is clean, newly decorated and pet friendly. But, the building is a smoking building and people do not follow rules to smoke outside or away from the building. The building does not have good exhaust ventilation and do not have an elevator from the garage. There is no microwave or venting in the kitchen for cooking. There has been robbery in the downstair garage and out side parking lot. A family member saw 4 large wheels gone from a truck and his neighbor had his car broken into, in the parking lot. A motorcycle was [Removed] from the downstair garage. There are people in the building that causes the police to be called. Frankly, the new management is asking a lot of rent for an old kitchen and stucco walls apartment for seniors.

Every one of the workers makes fun of the patients so loud you can hear it through your shut door, no respect. they just figure everyone has totally. lost all of their hearing. They will nickel and dime you for everything, smile to your face, and give you the middle finger when you walk away, nice looking place but dont ask for any help, it all comes with strings attached, if your on Medicaid DO NOT COME HERE!

Both of my parents lived at Regal Palms Memory Care for two months. During that time, we were quite happy with the care given by the staff on the fourth floor Memory Care unit. The nursing staff and the social activities staff are wonderful. However, my experience with the administration of the facility changed when my mother was tested positive for Candida Auris. At that point, communication with the director of nursing and the executive director shut down. We were told that our mother was not welcome to return to the facility after her discharge from the hospital. I understand their need to err on the side of caution with this fungus. What I don't understand is being ignored and treated as if we no longer matter. Repeated phone calls to the executive director and the director of nursing were not returned. In spite of the lovely facilities and excellent care from the care staff, I would never recommend this facility.

The Director of Nursing cares less about the residents and more about making herself look good. She will lie and tell everyone what they want to hear and then bash families behind closed doors. The facility is gorgeous and the Rock steady boxing program is great! If you don’t need the class I wouldn’t move here you’ll be horribly disappointed.

Food is an issue as far as they run out, and it takes too long to be served. No internet even though they say it's provided. You can only access it in the common areas. Shared laundry room had a dryer that was full of lint and does not dry the clothes, not to mention its a fire hazard. My niece had to clean out the lint and got a bag full. These should be maintained weekly at the least.

Our experience was awful, I am still very angry. On their basic assisted living it is probably a fine organization, but their memory care unit is where I had my issues. Staff had no clue how to handle my husband and they never called me or talked to me and asked about what he liked/disliked. They do not have a dietitian on staff. I had covid and could not see him for a few weeks and they never called to update me on how he was doing. They never called me for help, they would just call the cops instead. It was just all around a terrible experience. I would never recommend this facility to others. Before you choose this place, please do your due diligence.

The rooms were really nice but the tour experience seemed a bit rushed.

I was a resident for approximately six months. I take pain pills and the management allowed the caregivers to make me go 2-3 hours past when I was suppose to have a pill. The care givers retaliate if they get angry at you. The last straw was I lost some valuable jewelry, gifts That were given to me by my father. Where I am at now they provide a safe in every room. It’s wonderful.

If you are looking for a beautiful place this is it. If you are looking for the best care for your elderly loved one, look elsewhere.

Covid did create a lot of issues for a lot of people and families, with that being said our loved one moved into the community in January so it was still hot and heavy with restrictions. We were not able to see our loved ones apartment, but we were able to see a model which looked all good and stuff. So we had to go off a floor plan, and we told the community exactly how and where the furniture needed to be, but the apartment was flipped so the furniture did not work out. Also if our loved one needed help moving in we had to use their moving company that was "covid approved" which just meant the were covid trained with protocols which did not make sense to us. If we wanted to come visit we had to be deemed care givers, but they did not take the time to deem us care givers. Our loved one at one point had not be given a shower for 52 days, the director was very dismissive with all of our concerns. Also we had issues with the billing department, when the bills started coming we were getting random charges for things we did not understand. When we brought it to the billing departments attention they had no idea what those charges even were, and later we found out that the billing department had to go back into training because everything was so disorganized.
