The Commons on Marice f as facility is great. As far as staff, I'd give them a 4 out of 5. The care they give is good. I'm pleased with their overall services.

We are in the Amethyst Arbors part of the community. We are pretty pleased with them. The common areas are very clean, and the staff is pretty friendly. They give you good value for the money. They have a good variety of activities. The food is very good, I would say that the food is about a five. The housekeeping in the individual apartments needs to be improved, the housekeeping doesn't do a very good job. We liked what we saw there, and we knew other people that have lived there and they liked it.

A little too upscale. Beautiful common space and food options. Rooms way too small; and the price was substantially more. Certainly there are more activities and features...but for a price.

Was very nice – it’s lot larger than the one we chose for our loved one. It’s multiple stories. If you’re looking for a single story facility that’s more friendly and family orient – this might not be it. This one is more corporate oriented.

Check out a lot of different places. We really like the Amethyst, but it feels like you’re not the one in charge of your loved one, they are. The food is good at some of the campuses. There is a patio for those in the memory care to use, even though it’s on lock down. We have white shirts that are pink now. My loved one’s clothes are always clean though.

Everything was good I ate there twice, but some of the people didn’t eat their food. They felt it wasn’t edible, but I had a grilled cheese and I thought it was great. The staff was all great. My loved one had her little dog with her. The distances were a bit of a problem. My loved one was in the farthest corner from the cafeteria.

My main concern is that the medical staff sometimes oversteps their bounds. My wife and I looked at a lot of places. They were the best. They were middle of the road on cost. They were the best. The food is okay. There is an area where residents can go outside.

They're very friendly here! It took a bit for her to settle in and for them to learn her routine, but now that they've gotten to know my loved one they're very on the ball with her care! The care they provide is excellent, and they've got a good variety of activities to keep everyone entertained. They could, however, do a bit better at keeping things tidy.

Things seem to be working out well here so far. The staff have been very friendly, and they do a great job keeping the place looking clean and cared for. They can be a bit difficult to communicate with, according to my family member who spends the most time interacting with them. I'd also like to see a bit of improvement when it comes to the activities that they provide.

This is actually for the Garden at Amethyst, as they have different sections for different levels of care. They are clean and friendly. The food is good, I would say a five. They do most things well, their activities director is very good, and very hands on.

My husband's mother lives at the Inn at Amethyst. In the last couple of years they just keep cutting back on staff. She's there with Alzheimer's. She doesn't really know what is going on or recognize anyone and the care she's gotten there is fine. It's just that they don't have as many caregivers as they used to.

I don't know if I am getting a good value, but it is not their fault, it is my mother's. My mother won't participate in anything. They have to pick her up and take her everywhere within the community, which they do. They have very good care and it really stands out. They care very much about their guests. The food is fine. The layout is nice and my mother has plenty of space.

It was good, generally. The exectuive director, I don't know what's going on there, but they kept hiring people and firing people, there was a lot of turnover and we had asked for some allowance on the rent because it was really expensive and we had signed a long term lease. Not only did I get a nominal amount at one time but I could not get the executive director to communicate with me. For my mom, to know how the residents like it, she was having a ball.

I would say that the communication is challenged by the application of formulaic procedures or practices as opposed to individuale needs and practicality. They are attempting to make it more accomodating, she is getting what she needs, her care givers give ehr the care that she needs, its things like the fee structures that are imposed that are formulaic as opposed to practical. They've been willing to provide her the support she needs physically and let her do what she can on her own. She has two kinds of exercises that she absolutely enjoys and other "keeping them moving" kinds of things. I'm generally quite pleased with the facility and the level of opportunity there is to do things. On a little less positive note, being able to get answers from the person that can help is a little bit harder than I feel it should be. It would be nice if they could help the families and have a little Q&A session for us or a family members forum because most of us are handling this for the first time. For cleanliness, I think it has more to do with the grounds, I don't think the dining room's unclean, but they could spruce it up a little.

This place would be fine I guess. Expensive for what dad needs. Will consider but think nice group home will be better fit.

My wife has been living there for 2 weeks now. Overall it's been pretty good so far. I haven't had any problems. The staff is really friendly. She really likes them which helps - she's adjusting well. I don't think the food is the best in the world, but my wife's not much of an eater anyway. She's starting to participate in the activities. They have bible study and excercise classes everyday.

A couple of reasons why I chose the Inn is it is very close to me and once there my loved one will not have to transfer to a new facility for a different level of care. That was very important to me. At times I would like to see a little bit more involvement from the staff with residents. The staff is hardworking and cannot make residents do what they don't want to do but I think they could reach out to residents more frequently. Every residents' needs are assessed so if they are immobile the staff will get them for meals. However, for those who are not immobile the staff is not as involved with those residents, who may also need to be reminded or invited to join activities.

Beautiful place. Mother liked it at first but then did not like idea of having to move. Need to keep working on this idea.
