I would recommend this place. If you are looking, this is about as good as it gets. The one thing is that they have been out of things in the dining room, but that is getting better.

Mom is having health problems so it took some time for the staff at Amethyst Arbors to get adjusted with her issues. The only real negative I have is I was real disappointed when mom had an accident and she had to go to the hospital, I didn't realize we had to get our own transportation. I think they need to make sure people know this up front. Some positives are the staff is very patient and caring. They have communicated with me really well. I would have no hesitation recommending this place to anyone.

They have very lovely people working there at Amethyst Gardens. The staff is very thoughtful and very considerate. The food tastes good too. All the residents there seem to be receiving very good care.

The people there are very nice, both residents and staff. Any maintenance issues are taken care of immediately. And the facility itself is very well maintained and clean. The biggest problem that my mother is having at Regal Palms is the food. She likes the BBQ and would prefer they prepare the meals to order somewhat, like a restaurant. Dinner is earlier than she is used to, also. But she is trying to adapt. We wish she was encouraged more to participate in activities. After living alone so long, she is hesitant to "take the first step," but would like to be reminded of exercise classes, concerts and other events. She isn't used to anything we don't take her to. We know they treat the residents with respect and don't coerce them but she could do with a little coercion! We feel she is in a much safer environment and might start to feel more independent rather than having to defer what she wants until one of us could take her. It has only been a few weeks ... we hope she will soon get more into the swing of things!

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. I thought Westpark Village seemed like a very nice place, overall! The facility was well kept and clean, and the staff I met seemed friendly and caring. It's a smaller place, so the residents seemed to get a lot of one on one care. However, it was also fairly expensive.

My loved one has been here almost a year now, and things are working out very well! They do a good job overall at Amethyst Gardens. The staff here are friendly, and really good at working with individual families and the needs of their loved ones. My one complaint would be that the dining staff could be better trained, the service can be slow and sporadic at times. But overall we are very pleased, we love this place and we're glad we found it!

It's been good so far. It's an old building, but it's well maintained. They are doing a few different projects on the building now. I would give them a four out of five.

Amethyst Arbors is the only facility I found where the rooms open out into an outdoor grassy area. There is a patio on every unit. It has a very home like feel to it. That said there is some room for improvement. Over weekends they seem to be a bit understaffed and it really impacts the level of service that they receive. Also, there was one time when my dad was running low on a certain medication he really needs and they waiting until he was completely out to get it refilled, which led to him having to be without it for a couple of days, which caused some issues. So there is definitely some room for improvement.

It's been a good place. The food is pretty good. The only minor issue I had is that they could of did a better job at the orientation. They should of let everyone know what happens at the facility sooner. Other than that, we are very happy with the Amethyst Arbors. It's a nice place. They have a lot of activities. Everyone is very friendly. The staff has been accommodating and helpful. I would recommend this place.

It's very clean, and the staff is really friendly. The food is very good compared to other places we have been. They offer the same activities that most places offer, but nothing really exciting, or different from the typical things you would see. They could use a few more caregivers. It's a very attractive place.

I liked what I saw during the tour just waiting to get my dad admitted.

It's still a little early in the process and it's my first time having to place a relative in memory care. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, but sometimes it is hard to contact the right person for your concern, or have that person return your phone call. They said I would be contacted regularly with updates throughout the first few weeks but I only received one unsolicited call. I work full time, so it is hard to know what is really going on. The facility is not new, but it seems to be clean and fairly well-maintained. Everyone tells me it takes months for a person to make this adjustment, so I hope all goes well.

Nice facility. On short list for parents to choose from.

My Dad is in the assisted living section of Amethyst Arbors Community. He is enjoying his time there. The food is excellent. I have enjoyed several meals with Dad. There is a regular menu and also chef's specials every day. The dining experience seems to be well organized. The staff to resident ratio seems to be good. There is no extreme wait for a caregiver if needed. They do encourage residents to participate in activities available. They do have pendants for the residents to wear for safety concerns.

Overall things seem to be going well at Amethyst Gardens. I don't get the chance to visit often myself, but I have heard mostly positive feedback from my relatives!

They are updating and improving some things around the facility right now. The biggest area where they could improve is the food. They just got a new chef and the food is improving slightly and I hope it continues to improve as it has been pretty bad. One thing that I really do like is that the size of the unit is excellent, and they are very responsive to any repair needs or other requests that we make. They are making some headway, it's just taking time which is to be expected.

It's going pretty good overall. The staff is really friendly. They do respond quickly but the communication isn't always there, so I don't know that they have responded. I might ask them to sign her up for something or start some service, and they will do it, but I don't get a follow up call or anything so I know they have done it. My mom really liked the atmosphere when we toured here, which is one of the reasons we chose it.

My experience with Amethyst Gardens has been good overall. They are currently in the process of making changes in staff, especially dining staff, so things aren't quite like they would have them, but they are working on it. The maintenance has not been quick to check on things that we've reported. I am however, very happy with the grounds. They keep the place beautiful. My mom's apartment is well kept. The staff is very kind and thoughtful to my mom.

Rescheduled tour to the 15th due to the rain of the century. Definitely for Both parents....Mom could not drive this far to visit Dad. Beautiful Community...Larger Apt. Units...No Washer & Dryer In Unit. Balcony Units which may be more like their home living space since they sit out on their screened in patio at home during the winter season...Independent-Assisted living is a bit of a walk for the dining rm. maybe need Escort Assistance ... Like the courtyard areas & different sitting area's.. Definitely a frontrunner for a community for Both Parents.

My experience with Amethyst Gardens had been great. They are very accommodating, and helped with the transition. They've been very welcoming. Everyone is very friendly. Staff provides great care. The facility is very clean, and smells clean, not stuffy. The food is ok. It was better at first, but there has been done changes in staffing, so right now it's hit or miss. Overall, I'm satisfied.
