Mom needs medical care 24/7 so it wasn't a good fit. I wish we had discovered this place when mom was still independent. The travel program was pretty cool.

We had never toured a retirement community. Everyone was involved in different activities. Loved it but they had a waiting list and we needed something fast. Mom was living with us and not happy or eating well. Had a meal and loved the food. Would recommend.

My mom is in The Fairmont. I like it overall. I like what it provides for the money. It is a nice place in a nice area, and it meets her needs. Everything is fine. It is very catering. It is like a home community. The key staff lives on site. They are there 24/7, and they go out of their way to accommodate the residents and make you feel you're in like a real community home. They provide very personalized service. They assign a mentor to each newcomer to the facility to help people acclimate and settle in. They introduce them to people and help them get used to the activities and show them around. I have no complaints whatsoever. They are over and above. We ordered a new TV for my mom, and when my sister went there to install it and hook up the cable, one of guys in the office did that for her. They do everything, and they are very accommodating. It is a reasonable and affordable place.

Laurel Grove is a bit pricey, but then I know most places like this are as well, and for the value it is good, as they definitely go above and beyond to provide quality service. Everybody complains about the food. They had a chef they got rid of and hired another, but the new one is really not any better. The overall dining experience is very nice, but the food (according to what I have heard from some residents) They are very thorough and communicate everything to us each step of the way very well.

Mom loves the activity director Lisa she is always doing something fun!!! Managers are very outgoing and really have a heart for seniors. **Waiting list to get in so that was kinda of a challenge at first... worth the wait.. MOM Happy :-)

I was was really impressed with our tour. The managers were so helpful Chris showed me around the community. I really enjoyed being able to visit with residents whom we had lunch with. It was so much more than we were thinking. They are 100% full so it takes about two months to be able to get an apartment. The executive Chef Kevin is amazing he came to our table and shared the different menu choices! Order from a menu with 5 choices, waiters and waitresses in tux shirts... fine dinning at its best. Meals are included in rent. **Highly recommend

My loved one lived here for a number of years before we eventually had to relocate him due to increasing care needs. I really thought they did an excellent job here, it is a very nice community for independent seniors! The facility itself is beautiful, and everyone here was always very friendly. I would highly recommend this place!

We're very happy with how things have gone with The Regency House so far! It's a nice looking place, the staff are all very friendly and caring, and the people seem happy and well looked after. They are definitely worth a look if you are searching for options in the area!

I like that it's really close to my house; this was especially important. My mother got a first floor room, so she can get in and out of the room without having to go through the building. They have full meals in the dining rooms, and they also kitchenettes in the rooms. They also provide transportation to activities. I like that the place is well organized. If you need help with something, the staff are easy to find, and quick to answer the pull cord when I test it.

They are doing a very good job, and I have no concerns. The elevator situation can be a little difficult at times, especially meal times. I think the programs they have, and the tours and those kinds of things, the activities, are done exceptionally well.

My parents were there for a short period of time. However, I stayed there for several weeks while my dad was in the hospital. The people were good. I found them very responsive and accomodating, for instance, to my father's needs when he got sick. The facility itself is dated; it's an older building. Air conditioning was kind of noisy. The location is very nice; it's near the water. My parents chose it because it is near where they lived. It wasn't what I was expecting. It's assisted living, but it had more of a nursing home feel to it. Many of the residents were fairly old; Three quarters were in walkers. My parents were in their 80s but still active, and they felt out of place. Financially it was affordable. The food was good. Location was convenient.

My mother has been living at The Fairmont for years now. The new management team is really amazing. Christopher and Kellie Shearer have brought a real since of excitment to the community. Things were kinda boring for my mom. The new managers realized this and switched the activity director which is now Lisa Bryant she loves the residents. Lisa's mom is actually one of the residents so she really cares. She takesthe residents on fun trips and fun activities. My mom is never in her apartment and has made many new friends since Lisa has become involved. Ron and Sherri Koopman are the other managers, Sherri is soo nice and Ron is realyy funny and loves to tell jokes and host the events. I highly reccomend but there is usually a waiting list for apartments so I would call for availability.

Lighthouse Pointe has been great for Mom and her boyfriend. We moved them in 2 weeks ago, and no complaints yet. All of the staff is super friendly, and know the names of all the residents. This is a senior apartment community, but includes all meals in the community dining room and light housekeeping. They have thought of everything - lots of activities, a shuttle bus for shopping/banking/doctor appointments, a designated room for church services, library, internet café. The food is great, and lots of options. This falls between a regular apartment and assisted living. The cost is pretty steep, but is also between what an upscale apartment and assisted living places run in our area. The residents that I have talked to all like it - but of course, some people will always complain about something!

I have nothing negative to say about this facility everyone was very helpful and attentive. Facility was clean and I received the attention I needed.

Larry and his wife Judy are just wonderful. They are one set of managers that live on the property. That one assest is why we loved this facility. It is located on a beautiful wooded area in Lexington. The apartments are well designed for adequate space and they provide linen services that other facilities do not. They have a lot of options for dining whether it is breakfast or dinner. Each apartment has at least 3 pull cords for the safety of the resident. The alert goes directly to the manager's pager so the resident will have help there immediately. Overall, my mother in law, my husband, and myself preferred this facility over all the others we visited.

Nice facility, great staff. Larry and his wife, Judy, are the managers of this facility and do an amazing job taking care of the residents. This facility is number one on our list of where we would feel comfortable having Mom live there.

I was impressed with Lighthouse Pointe the moment I walked in the front door. And my Mother and her 'boyfriend' are,too - so they will be moving in in a few weeks. I've taken them twice to visit and see the entertainment and have dinner. The food is great! Staff & residents are friendly. We are all excited about this new chapter in Mom's life. It's not cheap, but the cost and amenities are both between a regular apartment versus assisted living.

We toured this community when we were looking for care options for our loved one. When we were looking in the Rocky Mount area this was one of our top two picks. It is a very nice looking facility, and the grounds are gorgeous. It looked like they had a lot of nice amenities to offer the residents, and the rooms were large and spacious. This place was also very affordable for what they offer!
