I toured New Haven at Little River and it was a great tour! This facility was very nice. It's the same corporation as another facility in the area that I toured. Great facility!

My father died in 2017, but my mother continues to live at the Fountains, now over 15 years. She moved to the Assisted Living residence in 2021. Overall, this has been a great place for both of them. They were active residents on the Board, bridge players, and friends of everyone. My mother will be 99 in July 2023, but her mind is sound and she appreciates that Assisted Living has what she needs at her time in life. We toyed with the idea of moving her to the DC area where we live, but the Fountains offers so much more than we could find here, plus she has personal ties there and better weather.

What stood out to me about this facility is the price, that was the biggest one for me. I think you get a good bit for your dollar but my loved one doesn't agree. I think overall, the staff is good. My loved one is not always happy with the food. There's been some confusion about his bill because they have new staff working, but overall I like them. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Magnolia Brook is very nice, but I preferred the openness and all the windows and light at another community for my husband.

I think Holiday Washington Commons is great. My loved one isn't crazy about it (no complaints about the facility itself - he would just prefer to live in a different location). But he's getting nourishing meals that he doesn't complain about, which is a big deal for him. His apartment is lovely. It's a 2-bedroom with all kinds of windows, and it's quiet. In my interactions with the staff, they couldn't be more friendly and helpful.

The interaction with the staff is really good. They do a lot of activities, such as; games, arts,crafts, social hour monthly, and pool. My loved one really enjoys the social hour. The value for the money is a lot better than the last facility. They offer three meals dailiy. The apartment is beautiful, and my loved one seems to be happier and more active.

New Haven is excellent and my wife is doing very well there. Teamwork is a buzz word today and routinely overused. However, New Haven exemplifies teamwork. I have seen it in action in everything from confronting Covid to celebrating holidays. These folks believe they are a team and therefore function as one on all levels. One thing they do very well is communication with residents, family members and visitors. This begins with the director who emails information freely and is evident throughout the community in conversation. Anything I have thought could be improved is too minor to mention. The important things are done well. I arrive at New Haven to visit my wife with a smile on my face and I leave New Haven the same way. Even if some interaction with my wife did not go well, I know that I have found the best place for her. If I need to talk out that interaction, I always know there will be a staff member who will take the time to speak with me. I could not ask for more.

We have noticed that over the past few months with it being an older property they've really amped up repairs and face-lifts. [name removed] made a really big difference in our decision making - she was very patient, friendly and warm when we would come to visit. She really made him feel welcomed. We really like that the community is very conveniently located for us, and he seems to be really enjoying the activities.

This was a nice community. They were unwilling to admit my loved one.

Very happy living at The Fountains at the Albemarle. All residents are very friendly at The Albemarle. Food could improve sometimes. The staff at The Fountains at The Albemarle are very friendly and courteous.

My loved one was a resident here and it was great for Independent Living! Fun atmosphere, lots of activities, affordable, OT/PT offered on site. The Meals and Dining are great, also. It's restaurant style and they have a chef. My loved one had to move to Assisted Living/a different facility, but we loved it here and miss it!

The Fountains at the Albemarie is a wonderful place for my mother to live. My sister and I are both satisfied with the staff and facility. The only negative, which is not a big one, would be the food. It's not consistently delicious, though most of the time it is.

Love living at the Fountains at the Albemarle. Best decision I made for my retirement. Meals are delicious, staff always courteous and helpful. I highly recommend to my friends how happy I am living here.

Very accommodating with room availability and scheduling move in. We picked this community, because we were looking for more of an independent community.

I was hesitant at first, but I love it here. I love playing Bingo, and sometimes we sit and talk. I am much more invloved everyday with everything. I would recommend to other families.

Twelve years ago, I visited Whealdon Estates in hopes of finding a facility where I could be comfortable, safe, relaxed, and cared for. When I entered the building there was a uniqueness regarding how I was immediately greeted and welcomed. Therefore, one week later I became a resident at Whealdon Estates and would not dare consider any other place to live. Twelve years later, that same atmosphere resonates throughout our building today and is why I always refer to Whealdon as “My Home Away From Home”. Our Manager, exhibits an attitude of professionalism, yet with tenderness, devotion, and compassion. She requires her entire staff to replicate those same behaviors. As a result, the food is delicious, the building is clean, the activities are fun and entertaining, and suggestions are heard and addressed. Without hesitation I strongly recommend Whealdon Estates and applaud our Manager and her entire team for the splendid and matchless job that they do for all of us.

Mother lived at Whealdon Estates for last 4+ years. The staff was exceptional in every way. The facility is top notch. The residents truly have a community. The activities are plentiful, varied, and appropriate. When Mom’s health declined rapidly, the staff adapted to her needs, kept family informed, worked well with in-home hospice, and never failed to put Mom’s needs as the highest priority. They displayed a level of empathy that is all too rare.

I met with [name removed] the sales director and immediately knew this was where I needed to be.I am 93 and my budget is tight and over the years we have had contact but she had a price that I could live wth.I have no family to help me make this change.She lead thru the paper work and spent a 2 hour visit and tour of the facility.I use an electric scooter,she stayed right beside me never hurrying me,just such a beautiful person,how lucky can you get.I chose a floor plan on my first visit and I am looking forward to my new life at The Fountains.Jean Brown
