We toured this community and it was not impressive. The tour was not informative at all and I did not like the layout of the community at all.

As I have told U in the past I am difinitly NOT interested in Smoky Springs. I have toured & visited a friend there & was not happy @ all w/the place

The staff didn't clean up glass in my loved one's room. There were shampoo, and other toiletries all over the place. What we were told by the marketing team didn't happen. I was unhappy with Silver Creek. I would never put my loved one in the community again. I'm not sure how the staff weren't paying attention to my loved one. The food was all carbs.

Mine was a virtual tour, and they really screwed it up. They didn’t show up the first time. The second time, they had audio troubles. They didn’t seem to know what was going on. Of course, this was during Covid, so it was new to everybody. But they just didn’t seem to have their act together, and it didn’t make me feel comfortable about their ability to care for my loved one. Also, to access to the building, you had to step up over a curb, and that’s not great for someone 90 years old. It just didn’t seem like it was well planned out. Also the location was not convenient for medical appointments, so we would have had to make arrangements to take him.

So looking for respite care for my elderly parent in Benton House of AUGUSta came up,beautiful from the outside. I was informed that not only do they have respite care but I might want to consider perhaps the adult daycare. I let the individual know what the elderly person‘s needs were and it was no problem. The day I go with this elderly patient to the Benton House first time there I get the elderly patient out the car after walking to the front door first. Do you think anyone said you could drive around and let this elderly person who is a retired World War II veteran get out right here? no, and I’m quite sure they saw me. Long story short I walked him in, two days later they said no he doesn’t “look like”the type of person we can take, too many needs....but I told you this over the phone. Due to the unprofessionalism and Im I don’t know attitude from one of the workers I would tell any army veteran that might have limited capabilities to think before you go to the Benton House!

The community said they could take good care of my mom and they could handle any issues. They did not. The sales process was very different than after we moved in. There was no compassion after my loved one passed away from the community. I would not recommend this community to others.

The claims made during my tour did not come close to reality. There is no quality services. I have lived here a year and I haven’t ever seen a copy of the residents handbook mentioned in the original agreement I signed.. The staff is not supervised, nor are most of them friendly. The institutional food served is not prepared by a real chef. Be careful.

If you truly love your family members, don’t put them in the Blake!!! My father was never washed, his hair was always greasy. He didn’t have any bed sores until he lived at that horrible place. when we brought him home, he had two bed sores. Neglect is the word I would say that describes this place.

Very nice facility and the staff and residents seemed very friendly. No progressive assistance so if you worsen you can end up out. Covid kept us from actually seeing the place. And they took my Moms deposit and have not returned it! $1550 from a 90 year old woman....sickening...

They don’t fix anything, The place is falling apart. They don’t do any repairs you request. The food is not that good. The patio has just one piece holding it up.They do not do what they tell you they will do. They no longer use the bus or offer any transportation. They have cut everything out. My mom and my sister live there and they are very unhappy. I would not recommend.

Started out OK with all the promises from the administration but my Mom was always sleeping even midday, which leads me to believe she was given way too much 'sleep' medication. I took her out of this facility. Not good. Not good.

When The Blake first opened, I was very impressed with staff and facilities. Soon after my mother was living at The Blake, many staff either quit or were fired. Corporate took over and the kindness and care was thrown out the door with the ones who did care. When my mother was sent for rehab, they would not adjust payment. So I was paying for an empty room with no meal and/or meals. They were more interested in money than the well-being of my mother. After being hospitalized, they refused to take her back and would not even return emails requesting medical information. My mother was went to the hospital on the 25th of the month and did not return. They charged her until the 15th of the following month. More interested in money than care of the elderly. I would not recommend unless you have a lot of money to throw away.

Not a great place for dementia patients or assisted living. Food bad, no service, no help in dealing with wash etc.

I stopped in to tour for my mother in law, and thought it was nice. I wasn't able to make a decision without her seeing it first. Now, They will not leave me alone!!!!! They are over the top with phone calls and mailings.....I have told her our decision is still a few months down the road, and she continued to put pressure on and become rude. Somehow, the nice person I originally spoke with, suddenly disappeared!! You can bet I won't be taking her there!

Extremely unorganized – no one can answer important questions. Staff will state they will get information regarding the care of a resident, but they do not call back/provide answers. This facility also misrepresented the VA aid and assist funding, making it sound like it was a “given,” and would reduce the monthly bill by half. However, those funds are NOT guaranteed and are difficult to secure. Sadly, we found that out too late. There seems to be an overall lack of staff being able to answer questions and depending who you speak to you will get different (if any) information. My father has had to wait in line for a half hour to deceive medication and has waited for his meals. The longest wait was one hour. I would not recommend this facility. There are many out there that are much better organized, less expensive, and offers better care to its residents.

I stayed here for a few nights to see whether I'd like it. For many reasons, I would not move into this place. The food--mediocre and not tailored toward those with diabetes or heart disease. The service--often rude or abrupt or nonexistent. The activities--inane, with staff talking in a sing-song tone of voice to the residents as though they're children. Cleanliness--I viewed health violations in the little café (which is hardly ever open). I also got sick from eating a sandwich there. The hallways: they have a strange odor (mold?). The rooms: cooled and heated by cheap motel-style units that cannot be sufficiently regulated (as another poster noted). DO NOT LISTEN TO MANAGEMENT'S RHETORIC about "sailing pelicans and dancing dolphins." That's hogwash. Also, since the building is on the water, all residents must be evacuated from the building even if the smallest storm is coming that way (not to mention that rust on the exterior of the building is a constant issue). As another poster noted, management is SELLING A PRODUCT, and they'll say anything to get you to live here. Try it out free for a few days and decide for yourself.

The care at this community was not what we were looking for. We were misled about the care that was offered here. We did not tell me that it was not independent living. They were understaffed and the community was not clean. They only had one elevator. The menu was average. They did have activities that they were involved in. I would not recommend this community for other families.

Facilities were amazing. Had an appointment with [Removed] at 1pm. She was 10 minutes late and offered no apology. She gave us a quick tour, sat us at a table, showed us literature and almost pushed us out. My sister in law also felt the same way. No negotiating on prices was made abundantly clear. Leaving, I felt they were just interested in our money. Was very disappointed.

I went in for a tour when searching for an apartment for my father. We were left standing in the entry (we had an appointment) for 15 minutes or so. A woman then arrived to speak to us but was totally disorganized and seemingly uninformed about the facilities. One iof the tenants sat in a television area alone with no one even speaking to her as we waited and wondered into the hall way. We did not complete the tour and left.

Make sure you sign the care contract before the housing contract because they dont work together.
