I really like it here aside from the size of my apartment. I was supposed to get the bigger one, and they had the smaller one ready for me in error. But the people are very friendly. They invite you to holiday celebrations. I like that my apartment has a balcony. There's an elevator up to the second floor. I didn't know this at the time, but they have emergency maintenance available if you need it. There's central air if you need it. I feel safe here, and it's a nice place.

Amazing transformation from what was once a school building. Unique layout of rooms. Contemporary, clean, and bright with high ceilings in all rooms. Nothing like the "stuffy" décor you see in many senior facilities. Wonderful staff. Highly recommended!

Grand Haven Manor was exactly what my Dad needed. Elevators so he doesn't have to navigate stairs, clean environment with lots of activities to keep him busy. I know he loves his apartment and I love that I do not have to worry about his safety. Great, caring staff that is very appreciated.

We chose Porthaven Manor because it seemed like a more friendly environment and we knew she would be the happiest here. The apartment sizes are good but she could always use a little more space. She is very happy here and we would highly recommend them to others looking.

This is a wonderful friendly place for your loved one. With the cost provides wonderful service and just a good place to live at. They have birthday events and live music here and there but it is limited due to covid at this time but they do what they can.

Our family had an in person tour and The James is a very nice community, but it is to expensive and the rooms had absolutely no storage. Also it kind of gave off an older vibe.

Our loved one was only there for about a month, but we had a great experience. the value for cost is decent but they had a ton of activities for the residents to take part in. There was plenty of things for them to utilize like the movie theater and a card playing room. There is an at home facility inside the community that you can hire to help with basic assistance like medication, showering, bathing.

It's a very nice place. The office and the people are very good to all of us. There's two of them in the office who do everything for us. Our maintenance man is fabulous, and he his constantly cleaning. You never see him sitting down. Everybody is happy and friendly. The only trouble we had was we were quarantined all through Thanksgiving, and during that time we lost one of our residents to the virus. While it's hard to be quarantined, it was the right thing for them to do. It shows that they care. When we are up and running, we have so many activities it's unbelievable. And it's a good value. You could rent an apartment for the same amount as you pay here, but I get so much more here. They've been very kind to me - they're just great. I can't tell you how nice it is to know that even though I'm alone in this apartment, they check on me and know daily how I am.

I would tell others to look into if you're looking for a place for your loved one. It's a great place for older people to get to know other people. They do have a lot of activities - they take you to the store, you can play bingo or play pool, etc. They have washers and dryers so you can do your own laundry. It's a great independent place.

Our family had an in person tour and this community was very stunning, and the people who gave the tour were very thorough with all their information. They took us everywhere in the community, and if we wanted to see something specific they would show us. It was to expensive and to much for our loved one, but for my husband and I this would be the place for us.

The activity director is doing a great job the residents just need to participate more. They bring in entertainment once a week, and play bingo, movies and crafts and exercise for the residents to do. They also had a really big party at the end of summer. This is a fantastic community for your loved one. There was a black out and they did the best they could to help us get through it and brought us meals to get through. I would recommend to anyone.

I would recommend the community to others. It is a very nice looking development. The grounds are well kept. The maintenance team take care of any maintenance issues within 24 hours. I feel safe here and feel that I could get help if needed. They have social activities for the residents.

The community does have assistance available for rent help. The community is very neat and clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

We chose Oakhaven Manor because of the location of the facility. The apartment sizes are acceptable. I do like that they have a shuttle bus service and they have a lot of amenities such as library, movie room, pool table, etc.. I would recommend to others looking.

It's a pretty good place, and I like living here. I like the people. Everyone I've met has been very nice. I like that I can be independent, and I like my apartment. It's a nice size. I wish it was better suited for wheelchair living (counter height and cabinets and things), but I manage. I don't really eat here. I tried the food a couple of times and didn't like it. But we're getting back to doing activities, and I've had a lot of fun with that.

The staff made the transition very easy. It is a great community to live in. They exceeded our expectations. The community calls twice a month with needs or something they are seeing with my parents. This allows the community to intervene or myself. Even though there may not be activities, they still find a way to engage the residents.

I definitely like the setup, including the way the dining room is set up. I was a maintenance person at a different community for many years, and Swanhaven Manor's cleanliness and maintenance seems right on top from what I've seen. It's been great here, no complaints. The staff I've met have been very helpful and went out of their way. The food looks really good, but portion sizes are a little large for my loved one. He always ends up wasting some. And he wishes they would serve steak dinners and crab legs sometimes. But overall it's been good. I like that they have a cleaning crew come in, so I can spend time with my loved one instead of cleaning.

Westhaven Manor is a beautiful place. I thought they were excellent. The woman who led our tour was amazing. I loved her. She went above and beyond. She spent about an hour and a half with me, touring several apartments. The price was very economical. The apartments were beautiful and clean, and only about $1000 a month. What I loved about their pricing system is it was all a la carte. They had different meal plans and different care plans to choose from based on your loved one's needs. So you're not paying for things they don't need or aren't using. I wanted to put my loved one here, but another family member got involved who was worried it would be too expensive. That along with the fact that it was just a little too far away led us to choose a different community. But I thought Westhaven was a beautiful place.

Our experience has been wonderful, we were so impressed with the cleanliness of the community, how friendly the staff team is and how great the food is. From our understanding the activities are still shut down but we do think the value is pretty good.

Overall I thought it was pretty good. They had lots of activities, including senior citizen outings. There's a pool room, a library, a movie theater, just lots of different things to do. Their maintenance crew was great. If something went wrong they'd get right on it. The staff in general were great, and took care of everything. The ones I dealt with - really only two of them - were very friendly. My loved ones told me the food was pretty good. I thought the rent was a little high for the size of the apartments. But they were real nice and clean, and it was a nice place. I would definitely would recommend this place to others.
