Our mother was evaluated as a Level 4 person needing assistance. A nurse had come out to her house to evaluate her from The Village and told us that she was a Level 4. We thought she would get the care she needed. However, we did not realize that after she was there, there was only one person to the floor; maybe sometimes 2. There was not enough staff to tend to the patients on each floor. Mom did not receive the care that we were told she would have. She would tell us sometimes she had to wait maybe 30 minutes before someone would come to tend to her. Even at 102, mom had her full faculties; so when she told us she had to wait a long time for someone to come change her or bring her her meals, we knew she was right. Towards the end, mom had requested that we move her to another facility. Hindsight, maybe we should have placed her in a nursing home as opposed to an assisted living facility. Once she was there , she never left her room, except to be transported to a hospital ER.

It's been ok. A lot of turnover in staff it seems. Not familiar with other faculties so I would guess it's similar to others. I'm neutral toward a recommendation. It appears they did not raise pricing for next year so that's a plus

They were able to provide my mom care when she couldn't do it herself. I am grateful that they saved my mom's life. That said, we moved her out after six months because of the condition of the food and environment. The staff were fabulous, but the living conditions weren't what she was hoping for.

The care staff is really great. They care a lot about the residents and have their best interests in mind. The issue with the other staff is that the communication between staff and between the families could be more organized. Timelines are often a bit fuzzy unless the directors of nursing are involved. I would give [names removed], who lead the nursing team, 5 stars each. They've been wonderful and really get things done when I push for them.

Meals are paid for regardless if a resident eats a a meal at the facility. Would be more cost effective for residents to only be charged for the meals that are eaten. Communication can be lacking. Several times we have left voice messages and texts for the head nurse but have not received timely responses.

This is beautiful facility. But we found it’s difficult to get things done to our standards. Have to ask for things to be done that should be done on a regular basis. Having said that, my Mom has not tried to take part in any activities. The residence are not friendly. She has been sick off and on since she moved in.(3 months ago) This has been a difficult decision to put mom in an assisted living facility.

There were multiple weeks in which her room was not cleaned. The would continually have agency nurses and aids in which would not administer her medication timely or miss days. The would lose her eye drops which is critical for her eyesight. The food was not great. Several night a sandwich or hot dogs. For the price she was paying weekly. The food should have been much better.

I would say the memory care staff was the best of the best. Always kind and good to communicate. They worked very well with Hospice when it was time to bring them in. The facility is in a great location. The management changes like the wind and the transition is painful with little communication. I hear it's the same for most assisted living communities. I would recommend this facility for the floor staff alone. They were awesome!

The facility is nice. I find they do not clean my dad's room very well every time. The staff are hit and miss. Some are great. Others shouldn't be working there. My dad has used the call button for help and waited up to 45 minutes for someone to come. They also charge very highly. Even when my dad has gotten better and doesn't need as much help, they did not adjust his rates to a lower level of care. The food is not good. My dad went from 210 to 185 while there. He's 6'1" so he's rail thin. Just this past weekend I discovered things have been stolen from his room. Honestly I need to move him but it's so hard on him and now he has made friends, I hate to move him from them.

My parents loved this place in the beginning. It’s lovely, original manager years ago was awesome. Activity director is great and loved by many, she is always upbeat and giving hugs to guests as well as residents . Lots of activities. Food is so so but has its good days, aids come and go but there were a couple awesome ones but there is usually a shortage. Current mgm is barely seen and if you do, is not pleasant but condescending to guests and residents. Have seen residents in wheelchairs pushing themselves back to their room from meals while mgm just watched, dining room help would assist. Nurse sent my family member to hospital and told family after the fact, but we found our parent after calling 911 operator and close hospitals. Nurse is on shift but not full time. They did kept them safe during Covid. Our parents were removed for a better place. If considering here, ask a lot of questions. Had several rate increases during a year staying it for for aids.

Very disappointing for the price. The community areas were very presentable, but the cleaning of the personal apartment was sub-par. Wet towels were stacked up after showers and got musty. There was always a lot of dust , floors stayed dirty and huge dust bunnies remained when we moved out furniture. Trash not picked up over weekends. Most of the staff was friendly , but most could not deal with the moodiness of dementia, which is a majority of the residents. Once the move out notice was turned in, we were basically ignored. After all the analysis the type of care needed did not match the type of care received. They are terribly understaffed for amount of residents. When call button was pressed, someone responded only 30% of the time even after several reports that the pendant was not working properly for two months. . It was hit or miss on flavor, was usually cool by the time received, and for a pool of folks who probably all don't have all their teeth, meats were hard to chew. Ice cream was the typical dessert which is not good for dairy allergies. More For Independent Living than Assisted Living or your idea Nice Community with Room for Improvement or combination Good for Independent Living with Room for Improvement!

It is an absolute waste of money.[name removed] with A Place for Mom, was very nice and tried to help. We picked this community, because [name removed] aggressively convinced me that this was the best place for my loved one. She also spoke very poorly about the other two places I was seriously considering- one of them within her same company- [removed]. She also assured me that she would help me with any questions or problems that might arise but she never answered me again after we had signed on the dotted line. She is apparently no longer with the company- not sure why. The whole experience was so disheartening.

I am rating a 3 because of one thing, but it is major. They use a National company for their residents prescription medications and this company dropped 4 of my mother's meds causing severe reactions and discomfort. One was an antidepressant and she went into major withdrawal. It took us over a week to figure out what was wrong. Then the staff nurse practitioner at Anthology added 2 other antidepressants without getting approval from her primary care doctor and she had major reactions to that mistake. So I put Anthology at fault for both. The National company they are using has horrible reviews. All that said we really don't have any other complaints. But it should be noted that my mother has her own personal out of pocket caregiver that is with her daily from 8am to 8pm. The Anthology is a beautiful place and well maintained. The staff is very friendly. Nice that there is a hair and nail salon on the property. Lots of activities with a lot of variety.
