I chose Wood Glen Court after extensive online research. I read individual reviews and comments on more than 20 locations. I also had my bad experience at Solera Skilled Nursing Facility to compare other places to. I found the service A Place for Mom, to be a hinderence to getting to talk to admissions staff at Wood Glen and other places. I realize helps the facility screen the applicants, but was not helpful for me. Staff Communications was very good.

If a friend asked me, I would say several residents did not like the food. My mom hated 95% of the food. And food / cooking had been one of her passions. The community is kind and welcoming and I think the activities were good. I felt some staff were superficial.I think the price was high. I think there should be a meals option in their pricing structure. My mom hated almost everything she got from the kitchen. She wasn't mobile enough to have lived at Ledgestone (lower price with meal tickets), but she did have a beautiful apt by the butterfly garden.

There have been definite changes in the food, dining experience that have been negative. There used to be snacks, cookies, muffins plus available food such as salad and small meals at anytime. This has disappeared.

Cost is high compared with the two meals daily provided. Meal times are only 1 1/2 hrs long, so we don't make it up in time for breakfast. If you need an alternative meal choice, they're not available.

Staff is very friendly and knows everyone's name. Housekeeping is okay-once my mom figured out their schedule she was fine. Sometimes they don't bring her laundry back on schedule, but once she asks they take care of it quickly. Communication about programming and events is very good. They use the LifeLoop website/app. Communication on the nursing/care side could be better. If I have a question or concern I don't always get a response the same day. But then they take care of it quickly. The move in process did not go as smoothly as expected. But after a few hiccups, things are good. I can text the director and she will take care of it. According to my mom, the meals are not great and they run out of certain things sometimes. But she is not a reliable historian and is a picky eater. Besides all this, my mom is much happier than I thought she would be. The activities director hooked her up with a few ladies within her first week there and now the 4 of them are inseparable.

There seems to be a high turnover of staff. I don't think she ever saw the physician who serves at the facility. Not even at the beginning. She was not allowed to take her supplements because it wasn't on the Rx list, but no one helped get them on the list. She never had a working microwave the whole time, even though we asked several times. I came to visit and her bathroom sink was clogged. The staff was always very friendly, remembered her name and remembered some of her preferences like apple juice at her meals. Also, the layouts of the rooms are really good. My mom didn't really take advantage of activities and I wish they had encouraged her to more.

It's a nice place. They take good care of my parents but you need to check on them frequently. Also, the food is so so and the choices are limited especially if you're trying to eat Mediterranean style food.

Housekeeping is horrible. Staff is very friendly. No communication with the family, at all. The meals are of mediocre quality. The move in process was fine. Suggestion for improvement: work on communications and food. It's a 50/50 on recommendation to others, for me. She pays too much for what care she gets, but staff are friendly.

We cannot rate the quality of care as we are in the independent cottages. Overall what we like the most about Village on the Park Rogers is the friendly people (both the staff members and the other residents). We like the quality housekeeping, the security and most services they offer.

The staff at Anthology of Denton are very friendly, considerate and respectful of those in their care. Moving into Assisted Living is far more complex than I realized. The Director of Sales and Nursing were extraordinarily helpful and patient as I navigated this process for my father. The dining experience is in transition and I was told that on the tour so no surprises there, but they are short staffed. My father receives weekly medical visits and PT three times a week that has made all the difference. I would recommend Anthology of Denton to others.

When it comes to the meals and dining service what they have fixed so far is quite good, but the menu doesn't usually change for months. Based on the experience I have had so far with the Anthology of Tanglewood, I would probably recommend this community to other families.

My loved one is currently a resident at Heartis Mid Cities and overall the experience at this facility has been very good. The friendliness and staff are great. The care services, food and value for cost are good. If no skilled care is needed, I would recommend Heartis Mid Cities to family and friends.

What we like the most about the Heartis Mid Cities is the fact that there is no "smell." Most of the caregivers there so care for the residents. They could improve however on the "helpers".....seems to be a revolving door with the community.

Nice place. Change of managers here was not handled well. It's been a bumpy ride for weeks now. I'm sure things will settle down soon. We picked this community because of the location, cost, friendly folks, and homie feel.

A little expensive - make sure you know what you're getting into. Anthology was short-staffed during my visit ([date removed]) and the staff skipped my mom for showers sometimes. My parents liked the food and activities. I liked the upper level staff. [name removed] and [name removed] were very helpful. I wasn't there long enough to get to know others on the team. Ultimately my parents were there 8 months and then we brought them to Georgia to be near us.
