We toured the Arbor Terrace Morris Plains. We thought it was a lovely community. The staff was friendly and they gave a nice presentation of their community. It was a new, very clean and well-kept community. We had no issues at all and it was one of our top choices, very affordable. We ended up choosing a community that was closer to family members homes so that we could visit more often

This community was very nice bright very upbeat. It is a multi level building and on the grounds, there is a nice swimming pool. It almost feels like you are living in a tropical hotel, The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the prices were expensive and out of our budget range.

When my family toured this community we thought we had found a perfect match for the person we were looking for however to our surprise it hasn't exactly turned out that way. Our loved one expresses no interest in really socializing with others or participating in any of the activities they offer. However, the staff does not attempt to encourage him to do so either. He goes to the dining room to eat and hasn't complained about the food. His apartment seems fine enough space for him and the housekeeping keeps it very clean.

Keeping in mind this is a brand new location and when we moved dad in here about 7 weeks ago there were not a lot of residents there yet. However, with that being said I expected more than what we are getting. When Dad moved in there was no welcome orientation no one took the time to show dad around the room and tell him how things worked such as the tv. There is no consistency with the housekeeping and the laundry service so far. The staff seems to be brand new not trained very well and every time I go there they seem to have new staff so I"m not sure why they can't keep the same staffing. The service is a little slow in the dining room but the food is good. I've heard from other residents that are living there the community could offer more activities.

Even though mom continues to say she wants to go home where she is we have it setup just like her house. She is surrounded by many of her furnishings but that still doesn't seem to please her. However with that being said mom is going on all the trips they offer, she attends the bingo games, she gets her hair done at the on-site beauty salon. She loves the meals eats every meal in the dining area. She loves the staff very friendly and the whole family loves the place.

We were very happy with the care of the community. The staff was very caring and attentive. The menu was good and she liked the variety. The community was clean and my mom was very active and was happy with the trips that they had away from the community. I would recommend this community for the care of a loved one with a good value.

This looked like a clean community when we visited. The people we met were nice. They did seem to offer a lot of activities and they allow pets. This community was a lot larger than what we were looking for in a community.

The person that showed us around was very nice. This community does have Comfort Keepers in the community if the residents require additional assistance. The community looked clean. We had a pleasant tour of this facility. Everyone was kind to my family, and I. The community from what we saw looked nice, and everything appeared to be clean. The staff we met was polite. This was the right fit for my father in law, but our tour was a nice one.
