Loved the Terrace! The price was good and I like the fact that they have a nearby sister property that Mom could transfer into if she needed assisted living. The only drawback of the Terrace was no washer/dryer connections in the apartments.

Visited April 13. Nice, quiet facility. Residents were enjoying a morning exercise class and all seemed friendly and welcoming. Marsha and Melanie anticipated many of my questions and then gave me a tour. I especially liked the enclosed courtyard with the bird baths and bird feeders. Rooms were the largest I have seen for the price. Marsha also showed me their memory care unit. Many things to like about this place and I think mom might feel most comfortable here since it is a smaller facility.

Probably a bit too large. May not have the services Mom needs and stay within her price range.

We chose this facility because it is in close proximty to our home, affordable, and had some forward looking systems (QuietTime) that will allow my mother-in-law to age gracefully in place. The staff was very personnable and engaging. The carpeting is older, but their PT and other accommodations make up for that. We're very pleased with our choice.

The meals and dining are just not good, definitely need improvement overall. On the organization in the dining room and the availability of food really is the problem the most. I think they do an excellent job with laundry, never had a facility do such a great job with this service. The other thing I would say would like to see improve would be something similar to a community newsletter that goes out to family on current events.

The other residents, the front desk staff, and the comfort of knowing my loved ones needs are being monitored.

I toured The Reserve at Katy and it was an okay experience. The staff were nice, but I didn't like how the rooms were setup. The building itself was also a bit older. We chose another community because we were looking for something a bit newer.

The staff members are very friendly, caring and respectful. The care services kind of vary depending on the aids that day. We think the food looks great but our loved one says otherwise, she complains about it but also can't remember they have different options if you don't like something. She doesn't always participate in the activities but ones she does go to she really enjoys.

After only 3 weeks, my mother seems to be settling in and enjoying Embark.

I am very happy with the care my mother receives. I have had to hire a personal caregiver too, as he is 90 and requires additional help. However, I do feel that the food served is generally under par. It needs a rather big improvement. Also, since my mom has a personal caregiver and prefers to do mom's laundry and linen. I believe the cleaning staff has come to expect it from her

The staff is really strong here. There is a bunch of administration that has over 15 years at the facility. There is also a very low turn over rate. The only problem I have is that the facility is smaller and the room sizes are a lot smaller. It's a really great community and they back up what they promise in the quality of care. I just needed more space for my parents and their nurse. I would recommend this facility under normal circumstances.

Dad is still adjusting to living at this community. The staff seem nice and they do keep the community clean. They do offer daily activities. He does not care for the food. One of the elevators has not been working for the last several weeks as they are waiting on parts to fix it.

Brookdale seems to have their act together in providing a clean and stimulating environment for seniors. Loads of activities, nice restaurant, on-site physical therapy, and local transportation provided. They even accept pets!

My grandma is doing well since moving into Brookdale. We have had a few issues upon her move in. There are times when she gets to the dining room they are out of some of the food. They had a new food manager start the same time she moved in and we are hoping things will change. We had a service where and aid was supposed to help her walk to the dining hall but most of the time they were an hour early or an hour late and they did not walk next to her they walked in front of her. We did end this service.
