This community can work to improve on their maintenance and overall cleanliness and house keeping. Also we have brought issues to their attention that is not being taken care of or followed through, also they have made changes to meals that we don't approve of.

Run. It's hard to get anything done here. The staff were very unconcerned about a theft in my room. They didn't even write it down or make a note of it or anything. Their attitude was like "So what?" To me, that's not a so what. That takes away my feeling of safety. They've changed ownership since I moved in, and things are really going downhill fast. This is an old complex, and it could be wonderful under the right management. It's laid out beautifully. You can go anywhere and not be out in the rain on the rainiest day. They have a pool, although it could be made easier for us to get in and out of it. But I don't feel like they know what they're doing. There are some very nice people who live here, but I've learned to keep to myself pretty much.

I would want others to know if you are looking into Colonial Oaks at Vista that they have a serious issue with communication with family members. Also, due to COVID they locked the facility down and no one is able to come in or out to protect residents, which we understood. 4 months into COVID, my mother in law got COVID and she had never left, so they have no idea how she got it. When we tried to visit on her birthday, they were very rude about it even though we were sitting outside the window and they tried to give us a time frame. Overall, we are not having a good experience here.

Today we just got word from my grandmother that [Removed] has left Greenhaven Estates. My grandmother is extremely disappointed just like other residents. [Removed] lightened up the room. She made the residents feel like family. Thank you [Removed] for everything You have done. We miss you already.

When I went to visit this community, I noticed a bad odor. The furniture showed stains on it. We did not want to stay long. It looked more like a business. This was not the worst but not the best.

What is going on with the food?My friend lives there and recently has serious complaints about the decline in the food quality. The menu is usually not consistent with what is being served and the increase in canned vegetables versus fresh has increased. She has a very strict diet being diabetic and watches her sodium intake. I would think that an increase in canned vegetables is not a good thing for people watching sodium intake. Are there any plans to improve the quality of food that is being served?

We are very disappointed in the apartment and office services. The apartment was not clean when we moved in and there was a faucet that was leaking all over the bathroom. There is no stopper in the disposal drain and there was a moldy refrigerator in the living room when we picked up the keys. I have been trying for 3 weeks to hear back from the accounting office to no avail.

My father was very unhappy there . They have continued to do nothing for him since he has resided there and he is very miserable.

My troubling experience at The Pointe at Kirby Gate was most disheartening. It is alarming that such critical aspects of care were severely lacking during my mother's stay at the memory care facility. The absence of a designated 24-hour nurse, coupled with inadequate meal preparation and poor overall care planning, is unacceptable and concerning. My mother's falls, particularly the one resulting in a subdural hematoma due to medication issues, highlight serious safety and healthcare shortcomings at the facility. Based on the distressing circumstances encountered and the substandard care provided to my mother, it is clear that improvements are necessary at The Pointe at Kirby Gate. My decision is not to recommend this facility is valid, and it warrants urgent attention from the management to address these critical issues before further harm occurs to residents.

I moved [name removed] in [date removed]. She did not get in a bath schedule until I had a meeting with the director a couple of weeks later. I was going on Saturday to give her shower and do her hair. I moved [name removed][date removed] because she never got her emergency necklace, she would sleep in the same clothes and shoes several days, the staff was not friendly or helpful especially the nurses. The director brought her puppy to work and let him run around in the dining room. I really think she was not evaluated correctly and was not able to do things others assisted living residents could do. The food was ok but not enough but they had snacks. The director is now at [community removed] over memory care which was where [name removed] was and I moved from there [date removed]. Unless there have been major changes, I would not recommend this facility.

This place is worst! I see they are lazy to take care of the people! Room smells bad too! My mom clothes were mixed up! I don’t see management do cares for the people! Do they have a health care background? Or even a licensed? Every time I will visit my mom, they are just sitting and eating snacks! When I am asking a question or health concerns about my loved one, the supervisor is clueless!

Ownership changes often; breach of contract. I would not recommend to others. I was attracted to them because it was my first time to move to a 55&up. Close to my preferred shopping business.

Moved my mother in and a week later they announced they were sold and would no longer offer any of the amenities that made it attractive to my mother. Still trying to get deposits back and hopefully additional compensation for pain and suffering experienced having to move twice in a month

My mother is no longer at Spanish Vines due to their incompetence and lack of safety protocols which caused my mother harm. So she is currently with family and has decided for peace of mind to stay with family instead of trying to go back to a senior facility. We have placed a complaint with the state that is investigating these matters. So hopefully some of these problems will be resolved so that no other family will have to go through what we went through. But I'm not sure how that may help you all with future placements until they fix some of these issues.

The staff is not nearly as attentive as they should be, probably because they are understaffed. I think it should be known that in the memory care unit at night, there is no one watching and there were 2 separate men with dementia that entered my grandmothers room too many times to count and tried to get in bed with her. I know they have dementia and it's not their fault, but staff should have some sort of alarm system for those who roam the halls at night. I feel like the simply assisted living side of the building would be fine with the amount of supervision, it was just not simply enough for memory care. We stayed 2 weeks before moving out of the facility. It was an expensive lesson to learn

I had a horrible experience with The Reserve. I would never recommend it.

My 93 year old neighbor who has dementia moved in February of 2024. She still does not have an emergency pendant. The staff is not friendly and no one speaks. I could not get answers to my questions regarding my friend’s care so I tried to email the Director who is there most of the times I am there but she is busy. She has yet to answer my email from April 2024. I am not sure she is getting bathed and often has the same clothes on for two days.

I worked with Knollwood Pointe for months before moving my mother in. On the front end, they really sell it well. Despite me expressing concerns over this and that, they assured me my mother was a perfect candidate for this facility. It should have been a red flag that before she even moved in there was SO much turnover in staff from everyone from the sales director to the executive director. Once she moved in, almost all communication ceased. I couldn’t get anyone on the phone to see how she was, ever. I had to authorize her simply getting Tylenol and couldn’t get a call back for days, leaving her in pain. It definitely wasn’t the level of care she needed, but as a whole the facility is understaffed and it shows.

I would not recommend this facility to others. The staff is not helpful at all. The food is mediocre. There are no activities, management is constantly changing and the cooks are always walking out.
