We chose Parkside because of the location, friendly staff, very clean and affordable for the amount of care my mother requires. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, I feel very comfortable with my mom's care

What we like the most about The Heritage of Clearlake is that the staff encourage the residents to participate in activities. They also have themed monthly family dinners

First I would like to say that my mother has Alzheimer’s and I am her son who took care of her for five years 24/7. I could no longer give her the care she deserved and found Parkside in Port Charlotte. The staff is wonderful and worked with me on everything, I actually can feel the love when I’m in the facility, it is clean and offer a active routine, I’ve witnessed my mothers eyes brighten and smiles when staff walk by. She always gets hugs and that means so much to me. They are there when our VA system let us down, I recommend Parkside completely.

I'm gonna go ahead and wholeheartedly give them 5 stars. The staff is amazing, Whitney is beyond amazing, and most importantly, mom says I couldn't have found her a better place. She's very happy. And this was after I dragged her practically kicking and screaming because she was so angry in there. The first floor (independent) is not crowded at all. There's no nursing home feel. Chef will happily make adjustments, or give mom an alternate meal if desired. They are all so friendly. They will go out of their way to accommodate. For instance, mom smokes. If that was a no, I'd have kept looking. She has her own spot outside, or on a lanai when it's raining

The building is ran very well from top to bottom. The wellness director is amazing and handles everybody's needs in a timely manner.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by staff. They were friendly and professional. Facility was clean well maintained. Overall my visit to Parkside was a very positive experience. I would definitely recommend.

Besides the care providers and medical techs, I find the administrative staff to be very engaging with their residents. Building security for the safety of the residents is excellent. The room size is adequate with us being able to place a queen size bed. The bathroom has only a toilet and sink as a common hallway bathing room is used with care providers present when bathing is done.

My loved one was previously a resident at Sommerset Neighborhood Assisted Living and Memory Care and it was a very good experience. The staff were very helpful with the move in process. They are very courteous and caring. I would recommend Sommerset Neighborhood to others.

I thought that Parkside was a great place! I would definitely consider them again if we needed the services.

Very friendly staff and administration staff. Only complaint would be that it was difficult to check on mom after hours without having to bother an administrator. However, they were always willing to help!

Excellent service and very good care.They have a great activities staff. My mom is in memory care and is busier than she has been in 15 yrs. They make an incredible effort to keep everyone active and engaged. My mom loves it.

We have found everyone very helpful and seem to really love what they do. We have zero complaints. All Admin have been there for over 10 years, which makes a big statement. I would highly recommend this facility to others, they have been amazing!

I love the care both my dad and mother in law receives at Somerset. They do an excellent job. I chose this place based on recommendations from family members of former residents that our family knows. I never heard a bad word about Somerset from them. I can see why after seeing them in action.

I would say that I wished I would have moved her there sooner. Picked Heritage because it was smaller, the workers were all extremely friendly to everyone and they the manager worked within our budget.

If you are looking for a caring facility for your loved one, I highly recommend this memory care facility. My dad was transferred here because his wife didn’t want him to pass at home. Through the respite care service via Hospice, my dad was moved to this location within 18 hours after coordinating with [name removed], Director of Sales and Marketing. [name removed] was absolutely an angel and a God send. Based on her years of experience, she didn’t think my dad is transitioning after my dad arrived. My dad’s vital signs improved within 24 hours after getting oxygen and antibiotic to treat his aspiration pneumonia. We are keeping my dad at Heritage of Clear Lake because the caring staff and the close location to their home. The cost of staying in this location is comparable to other locations. Come give this facility a consideration.

I would recommend. They aren't quick to up their care level area to make more money. But they still provide all the care the residents deserve. My mom loves it! It's like a family. We picked this community, because of the price, referrals from church families, and the longevity of the staff.

The Heritage was a wonderful experience.The staff were excellent and the facility was so very well maintained. I loved all the activities especially the music. The food was awesome also. I really wish I could have stayed longer, and I am looking forward to my next stay. I highly recommend this place.

We couldn't envision one of us living in residential care. We had no idea they would care so attentively to our cleanliness, medical needs, medications, diet, entertainment, mobility issues, stability, sleep, comfort, strengthening, safety, family relationships, and special adaptations for Memory Care. The residence is beautiful. The meals are delicious and well planned. Our family member always smells like they're ready to go out on the town. They smile a lot.

Every single worker there that we have encountered and deal with treat every single person as if they were apart of a family which makes a big different. All of the employees no matter their position will step in to help - if the Executive Director is walking around and sees a residents needing assistance they will stop immediately and help them out. They have a ton of activities and different games for the residents - there is something going on 5 out of the 7 days. Once a month they have a family night where you can RSVP and be apart of a dinner and activity. You also can come on any regular night, just giving them a heads up so they can set up their separate room for you. We appreciate their accommodation's and we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.
