It seemed pretty on par with all of the other facilities… My sister-in-law who is there now is the one that actually chose the place. .. move in day was a disaster. She moved 3 times in a roughly 2 week period.

Facility is beautiful. Staff pleasant. Refer a friend is a nice bonus for new resident and family that made the referral. Many costs were included: phone, internet, WiFi, laundry, housekeeping, medical alert (personal care only).

The wait for any sort of assistance is way too long. I would not recommend to others. It's a shame that they are so short of staff and there's such a poor response when we ring our call bells to get help for anything. It's been an issue every place I've been but this has been the absolute worst.

I would not recommend Brighton Gardens to anyone who has a loved one who needs the type of care & SUPPORT mom needs. Hopefully these ratings would change in a few months.

I am bringing my husband home because of the above evaluation. Would not recommend them. What they could improve on would be Communication, staffing, price. They pull you in for lower price and after patient is settled, keep in increasing the price. They have lots of empty rooms.

The quality of care has gone down. The quality of food has gone down and it has gotten more expensive

They have a high turnover rate as far as staff go. I would promise to clean rooms and then wouldn't clean them for weeks and weeks, the food as I understand it was pretty terrible. I think they just need better staff. I do not recommend Quincy Place.

Its very cliquey and the residents are not very welcoming. Like HS mean girl. My mom didn't like it

The apartment space is fine maybe a little more space than I need. The staff is unreliable Some are caring, responsive, and efficient; others not so much, they are indifferent and dismissive of the needs of the residents. The dining is usually just passable. Not very tasty. What activities. It is very clean. Overall my 4 month experience has not been pleasant.

Heartbreaking. That’s how I would describe my mother’s recent 4-year stay at Sunrise of Richmond. Confined to a wheelchair, my mother was completely dependent on Sunrise staff to use the bathroom, clean her, etc. It was not unusual for Mom to push the call button to go to the bathroom and wait 40 minutes to over an hour for someone to come get her. One person left her on the toilet for over an hour! Imagine what it must have been like to be so vulnerable -- to have to go to the bathroom, and no one will come get you. Some even talked back to her. When my mother went on oxygen, caregivers would switch her to a portable tank when she needed to leave the room. But they often failed to check if there was oxygen in it. Oftentimes there wasn’t! I was constantly advocating on behalf of my mother. I was overcome with sadness every time I visited her. I put my trust in Sunrise and was bitterly disappointed.

With a receiving area for drop off or pick up and very nice landscaped plenty of parking as well. The inside was very quaint and comfortable. Everything nicely kept. However, in discussing the prices, there is a room and everything else was out a cart. Also, some pricing was black and white no gray area. It didn’t matter if you needed one particular part of the service they charged you for the whole part so that you’re either on or off. My son-in-law did a hypothetical situation for the facility in which the [removed price] quickly added up to [removed price]. We did not feel that it was worth the money because that was just the beginning if you had any kind of additional we chose a different facility that the price never increased no matter what your needs were during your stay that was significantly less expensive. Yeah I understand why the facility was not up to its capacity with clients. during your stay there, they quickly added up

Promises way more than they deliver. The "assisted" in Assisted Living is virtually non-existent even when you are paying for elevated levels of care. Don't go if you need any actual help except medicine administration and even that is a challenge. Totally overpriced for poor care. Would NEVER recommend. The short time that my mother was there we hired a full time outside aide to assist her.

They were dirty. The care for my father sucked. They talk a good game, but they were not good with keeping things clean.

The building inside is beautiful. They decorate well for the seasons. Our loved ones room is nice, even though it's small, it's a good size for them. The day to day care staff is great. However, the billing department is a joke. I have yet to get a correct bill from them and it feels like I need to chase them down to get them to respond and get a bill paid. I would love to put the bill on autopay but am very hesitant. My loved ones isn't a fan of the RN on staff, she doesn't feel like she keeps the residents informed.

I'm not happy here anymore. I wish! They could hire more staff. The ones left are burned out and leaving!

They claim an independent living facility. Not really, maybe legally, but not functionally. Many residents are .dependent and contract with private care givers. Also independent residents are frustrated by continued inconsistent services, staff turnover and unavailable decision makers.

I would definitely recommend and staff is very nice and approachable. Brighton Gardens is a wonderful facility. My Aunt is very happy there.

Our experience with Sunrise of Morris Plains was costly and disappointing. Our mother was there from [date removed] through [date removed], and beginning in [date removed], she was placed on “companion care” at $[fee removed]/hour, 24 hrs/day, in addition to the monthly facility fee. Between the two services, our family spent $[fee removed]. She was sent to the ER multiple times for “evaluation,” and hospital staff confirmed that Sunrise often sends memory care residents unnecessarily. Laundry and bedding were neglected for weeks, and her clothing was frequently lost or mixed up. Since moving to a new community, she has thrived. Families should carefully review companion care policies, ER practices, and oversight before choosing this facility. Since moving her to a new facility, she’s thriving with no issues — and four other residents from Sunrise of Morris Plains also moved to this facility, which seems to indicate this is not an isolated experience.

Need more employees for their evening and night shifts. Response time was not as expected. We had a hard time getting in touch with either the property supervisor or the budget manager. Value for cost is just average After our mom had passed away. We were sometimes credited on our account and sometimes sent letters stating that we owed additional money. We tried to work this out with the budget manager and kept getting the runaround. We wanted to talk to the corporate office and they refused to provide that information. So the people doing the books need to be revisited.

Sunrise of Springfield is seriously under staffed with care managers, housekeepers and maintenance personnel. Many of the remaining care managers have a limited knowledge of English. Communication between the staff and residents is poor. My mother is not happy.
