Sunrise Senior Living

In the beginning they were fine, there was a problem in the dining room ceiling and that affected the call button, she had to wait a while. After it was fixed, there was a time we had to wait almost an hour. The people are always nice and everything, the only problem I have is the activities, for a while it seemed like there wasn't anything happening. When they had them they were really good, but it's not consistent. Nobody knows where anything is happening. We have asked how to get to the other building and they didn't seem to know. Communication among the employees could be better. The food has always been good. The servers are always so nice. The laundry went down and didn't get her bag back, and some articles went missing. For cleanliness and people being friendly you couldn't ask for anything better. They have been very attentive, and helpful.

I really liked this facility, they say there is a special but than you have a community fee and than if the community fee is negotiated than the special don't apply and since there are 2 other tiers of costs I really loved it but need to think of my mom's funds

Very compassionate staff, beautiful building, good food.

Very clean, well maintained. Residents were a little more reserved and quiet. Jenna presented the facility nicely. She did a great job explaining the facility and things included in cost. Slightly increased prices versus Emeritus. Visited the 1 BR, 2 bR shared, and 2 room. Activities and church services provided.

Nice, open, sunny, friendly, clean, close to my home, close to shopping, close to baseball fields/soccer fields, nice outdoors -with walking path, nice porch with rocking chairs,place to garden, place to grill/cookout.

This facility was nice. Memory Care was on the second floor. I found this unusual, but there was an open patio. This was similar to Sunrise Plano but smaller and the residents didn't seem overall as active. I really liked that the semi-private room had it's own door and only shared the bathroom space. As much as I liked this place, unfortunately a BIG drawback was the 4 levels of care and the extra price for medication management based on how many meds taken including over the counter meds. It was hard to determine exactly what price to expect based on their brochures but it was easy to tell that it could be very expensive no matter what. I also worry about how good the care really might be if they are always trying to determine which level is needed which can fluctuate with someone needing memory care.

They have been wonderful. They are very clean and very friendly. The food is good, she has been very happy with the food. They are responsive to any needs or concerns that come up. They have a good variety of activities going on as well. We chose it for many reasons, it's a very nice facility, and in a good location for us, just being a couple of those reasons.

I thought everyone was very nice and helpful, especially about getting her in on short notice. This was just for a respite stay. She was concerned with the cleanliness of her personal space, mostly in the bathroom. She says it took a lot of begging to get them to come and sweep the rug. The staff was very friendly, and they had many planned activities. The food was pretty good too.

We had our loved one in the memory care section of the Sunrise of Richmond, and overall I think they did an excellent job with the care. The facility was ideally suited for taking care of a dementia patient. They had a good staff to resident ratio, so everyone got plenty of attention and was watched over carefully. They had a very secure and safe building, and wandering never became an issue.

Cottage version of sunrise@wall. Bit less expensive given location, although still high.Liked option they could stay together in rem.

Facilities and amenities (transport, meals, etc) seemed nicest so far (about as nice as Balfour). But apts were not quite as big or nice as Keystone.

It's been really good, It's been great. There have been a few little things but no big deal, some times the residents wander, and little things go missing for a while. Those things are going to happen. The food's been great. I have kind of had to be on top of them making things happen, like showers and stuff like that. All in all it's a pretty good place.

Large suite and one bedroom unit. Homelike feel. Big pine trees out front, no noise from freeway, lovely front porch.

Overall our experience here was good. The staff were all very friendly and caring, and the location of the facility was very convenient for us. It was, however, very expensive, and for as much as it cost I think the quality of the rooms could have been much nicer. The carpet when we moved in was not in a good state of repair, and we had it replaced at our own expense.

I don’t live there so it’s hard to say, but so far we are pleased. The kitchen facilities are lovely and the food seems good with enough variety and they make interesting things, not just you know, grilled chicken and things.

Nice views, nice location. A little run down. 70s style. Good vibe. Live-in manager. Independent living only, with outside vendors for assisted living.

Overall I thought they did a good job here. The atmosphere was pleasant, and there was a lot of social interaction between the residents, which I believe was very good for my loved one.
