Absolutely lovely. Can transition from assisted to hospice if necessary. Pets welcome! Like a nice hotel...

When you have to begin looking for long-term senior living for a family member it is a scary time. My mother-in-law always made us promise not to put her in a nursing home, but when her needs outweighed our abilities there wasn't a choice. Through many tough conversations and tears we ventured out looking at 7 senior living places. Some the new and shiny, who we could tell were trying to sell to us the adult kids. But it wasn't for us it was for mom+her needs. We wanted to go with a company with a long history and who had a proven track record. We found Sunrise and one in our back y ard. From meeting with [name removed] the sales director to [name removed] the executive director and [named removed] the activities director we found they personally had experiences with their moms too and could relate. We love are new family, God bless you all.

My Mom and I thought the independent and assisted living apartment options were very good and we particularly liked the private balconies and in-unit washer and dryer. Also the bathroom is a generous size and the hallways are bright and easy to navigate. However, the dining and social spaces need some refurbishing. We also noticed dust and general cleaning could use a little more attention. But, overall the facility was clean and maintained. The choice of activities are good. With close proximity to a lot of shopping, theater and dining options.

Very quaint. Beautiful view over lake. Friendly staff. Pet friendly!! Not as modern but clean and workable.

[name removed] was friendly and knowledgeable. The setup is like a hotel and gives residents options and keeps dignity. Also like the pod alerts are worn by the residents. Pricing too high.

Nice facility, very homey and cozy, well maintained. Location is near Dulles Town Center but it’s not pedestrian-friendly - we didn’t see any sidewalks and Sunrise is on a major, high-speed road. Tour was great - very informative and staff was professional and friendly. Sunrise stood out because they were prepared for our visit. Only one other facility - The Fairmont - was prepared for our scheduled visit. This made a big impression on us because Sunrise and Fairmont seemed to want our business, whereas with the others, they had to scramble to cobble together a tour for us.

We liked this one the best so far as it close to her doctor and to her home - only they don't offer the option for a nursing home in the same place. Also, no pharmacy on site. We have to hire outside help for all extras

Well presented. Floor 3 for Dementia ALZ people is fine. Personal spaces adequate.No reasonable solution for couple of mixed medical status: "Young &Healthy" with cognitive impairment person.

I ended up picking this facility for my Mother because they had the best care for the amount I am paying for. The community is in a good location and all of the staff is friendly and helpful. The building itself is clean and well kept. For activities, they offer things like exercise classes, card games, bingo, outings, and bible study groups. The food good and they offer 2 different options at meals along with a chef special. I would recommend this facility to other families.

I toured this facility while looking for a place for my Mother. When I first walked in here, it felt like a home. The person who gave me the tour was great and seemed very knowledgeable. However, the rooms were tiny. When I came back a second time with my sister she said it wasn’t a good place for her because it was more of a nursing home. The residents here were older than her and she’s not ready for that yet. I would recommend this facility to other families.

The person we were scheduled to meet with at 10:00 was not available, but the manager on duty gave us a tour. Very nice facility.

I was very impressed with Sunrise of Richmond. The approach to care stood out (in a good way) among the communities I have toured.

Nice room. Multi-level Building. Dad has assessment - did not qualify for "Circle of Friends". Would have to be in "The Neighborhood".

The staff members take really good care of my sister and they seem to be very competent. Everyone is friendly and they go out of their way to get all of the residents integrated in the activities. One of the activities that everyone seems to like is they get everyone on a bus and go on a field trip. The facility itself is bright and well decorated. I would recommend this facility to other families.

I went on a tour here and it went very well. The staff was nice and helpful and answered all of my questions. We ate lunch here and the food was very good. The rooms were on the smaller side. And the hallways were really long and far from the dining room. I would recommend families tour communities before making a decision

I like this facility because they give my mom a lot of attention. The staff members here are personable, caring, and respectful. For activities they offer things like baking clubs, bingo, and movie nights. The building itself is clean and well maintained. However, it is 20 years old and starting to show its age. The food here is excellent and my Mother raves about it. I like that they offer a lot of local dishes and food. I would recommend this facility to other families.

The facility is nice and the staff here seems to be very nice. They are great with their care services; however I do have 1 main complaint. Generally speaking, their financial department really needs some work. It seems that they are changing their prices as they go. I was promised one rate and after a few days they surprise me with more fees. I don’t know where they’re coming from and I’ve been back and forth with them more times that I would like. It seems that I’m paying for nothing really. Overall, the property is great, the staff is nice, and it’s just their general billing needs to be more straightened out.
