Sunrise Senior Living

I think we need a dedicated cleaning crew. Someone who wants to clean, especially bathrooms. The food could use some improvement (taste and there is so much waste) some food can really be good. More communication, little things that are going on. I am very happy at the Courtyard. My apartment is everything I hoped for and need. I really enjoyed the staff, they can be a lot of fun, very caring. I enjoy the activities and visiting with my. I plan on staying.

I really like the holiday employees, they are very pleasant and polite. I did not mesh well with [name removed], the woman. She cares for some of the residents, who works for a different company. I found another caregiver through [name removed] a holiday employee, and amazing. The carpets need to be cleaned.

I feel this community is a 4.0 out of a possible 5. The staff is a 4.3 out of a possible 5.

I like the location and the people. I used to eat the food in the dining room but the current place has banned it.

(Pre Covid-19) Meals and dining room were okay. Staff needs to be a little more responsive when residents request hot water / coffee warm-ups / condiments. Sign-ups for laundry room are not always honored by fellow residents. Some residents demand and receive special treatment or dietary preferences. Some swipe wine and or snacks intended for activity participants when not participating. I enjoy the activities and the entire staff are friendly and caring. I have to say the staff is great, but we are stuck with our fellow residents. I like most residents. Management has evicted the most problematic residence. I just need to be more tolerant. My life is better than most and I am happier than most. Just because I choose to follow the rules and guidelines doesn't guarantee others well.

I like this establishment. I think it is well run by people who care about us. The kitchen does outstanding work! Under difficult circumstances, the staff works very hard I see that problems are handled quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly.

Seems to do the best they can. Many demands of staff. [name removed] was very friendly.

I have lived here at Courtyard for 7 years. Things were working pretty well until Covid-19. It's been hard being isolated for so long but we're managing.

This community is an awesome facility, and my loved one loves her apt. The apt sizes are great, and my loved one enjoys the food variety they offer. I would definitely recommend this community to others

I chose Parkwood Estates because I needed a one level community due to my illness and it provided that. The studio I have here is a little on the smaller side but it is perfect for what I need it for. The best part about the community so far has been the friendliness of the staff members as well as all of the residents. There is always someone to help if anyone needs anything. I would recommend this community as long as people understand that the meal services are limited due the virus.

We chose Sunrise at Montgomery Village because of the location, it was a one bedroom instead of a studio, the affordability, and the overall appearance. The room sizes here are adequate for needs. The best part about the community so far has been that the staff members really look after the residents and are always checking in on them. I would recommend.

I am disappointed in the food at Sunrise Villa but I think that is because of the virus. The food is delivered to our rooms and it is cold. The dining room is open but you have to make an appointment sit alone at a table, so it has been hard to make friends. They are doing the best that they can. The facility is beautiful and is beautifully decorated. They had plenty of activities for the residents before the lock down from the virus. Although the building is on lock down, I am still able to make arrangements with my son and he can come pick me up and take me out which has been nice. There have been no COVID cases at the facility.

We chose Brighton Gardens of Mountainside because it was the most centrally located facility between the siblings and the easiest to get to. The room sizes here were adequate, my mother was in a one bedroom and it was perfect for what her needs were. We did eat here a few times and the food was good, they always had variety to choose from and they provided snacks throughout the day. My favorite part about the community was it was beautiful, well kept, and they had a nice outdoor space for the residents. It was very cheerful feeling when you walked in. I would recommend.

We chose Sunrise of Lincroft because of the location, the amenities that they provided, and the friendly staff members. He was in a studio and it was adequate for his needs. We never ate here but he seemed to enjoy the food. the best part about the community was it seemed very cheerful and upbeat. I would recommend the community.

The facility itself was very welcoming, our loved ones room was very welcoming as well. This was a very nice place for her to be. We would recommend this community to a family or friend. Our only issue we had was the parking, it really sucked. They are kind of land locked so they just did not have enough parking.

We chose Stratford Court because of the location, it was close to my children so they could visit her whenever they wanted. The room sizes were good, she was happy with the size. She said the food was ok, they had a menu on a computer that residents get to choose from. My favorite part about the community is the staff members, they seemed very friendly. I would recommend.

I would recommend this community. I liked the cleanliness of this community, the nurses and aides were nice. The community did have a lot of activities for the residents and the residents were friendly. The food was good, as well. The community's only downfall is that there is a miscommunication between hospice and the community. I would recommend that you know where hospice and community stands for the overall care of your loved one. The community is good for senior living.

My loved one's experience was good. The community was clean. I thought that it was over and above than other places that I had visited. The staff was very friendly, and saw to my loved one's needs. My loved one had her own apartment. Overall I would recommend the community. This community is overall a little expensive. The only complaint my loved one had was she didn't like the fact that the community was kept out of her apartment. The community tried to have the resident socialize with other residents. My loved one didn't want to be by herself at night, and the community wouldn't put a staff member with her at night. Overall I was happy with this community.

The staff was nice, I didn't interact with any other residents other my then my loved ones. I would recommend this community. The responsiveness was good. My loved ones liked the food at the community. The community brought the meals in boxes to the residents. The food changed due to COVID.
