Staff is friendly and helpful during the move in. It has continued throughout our time here. They provide additional help upon request. Eg. 2 hours of help hanging pictures.

I would give The Sunrise a rating of 4 -- it would be a 5 except the food is not very good and there are no transportation services. Staff members are great and the place itself is very nice. My sister has a lovely, spacious apartment, which she likes very much. Something else that is beneficial to residents is that a doctor comes in every Thursday; moreover, blood can be drawn on site and an optometrist visit can be scheduled on site, as well.

The staff is excellent, attentive, fun, and caring. The activities led by [name removed] are the best and the reason for my mom's ability to adjust to her new life. Mom says the food is great! She loves also just sitting in the gorgeous spaces, the porches, the library, and more.

The process from assessment to move in was very smooth. The staff involved were friendly, professional and very helpful. The facility is clean and welcoming. The meal options have a good variety and are served at good temperatures. I would like to see more activities for the residents that would participate and benefit from them.

My sister in law moved over to the [name removed] because she wanted a pool, and larger gym. Also the food menu was more pleasing to her

Overall Sunrise West Essex is a solid place and a good notch above most places in the area for the money. They could use fresher ingredients on the food... maybe incorporate farm to table from local farmer's markets.

Reason we chose Sunrise: Location Cleanliness Staff were very friendly Residents looked very happy and well cared for I would have liked to see 6 months of invoices for a person that was in a similar position at the facility

Most of the staff is Spanish speakers first. You may have some problems there. Transportation to doctors appointments may be a issue. They only run Tuesday and Friday. There's a mileage limitation on that. Most activity are done by 3pm.

I thought the staff was nice and willing to do anything we had asked. The problem is we had to ask way too much about basic things for the money. When we moved my father out we realized there were alot of items missing from his room. For the money staff watches too much tv. Honestly I do not recommend a lot of activities. They did a nice job of "themes" but not activities.

It is a very nice place. It's small, 88 beds I believe, so most people know each other. The rooms are spacious and quite nice. The dining room is lovely, the food mediocre. There are plenty of activities to participate in during the day. Unfortunately now they are short staffed so certain things like trash collection, laundry, weekly showers are a bit behind.

My only frustration with this facility was the therapy staff that works in their building. They did not accommodate to the residents needs, often just showing up without warning. The facility does not use agency nurses. Their staff has been together a long time and takes pride in their facility and work. Nurses were open and communicated with family, promptly relaying concerns. The facility phone was always answered promptly by a friendly human, never a machine. The facility is beautiful and homey, not large and institutional. The nurses aides were kind and attentive.

The staff in general is very caring and attentive. Activities are plentiful. Service in the dining room could be improved between wait times and getting orders right. For the pricing they could be better staffed. Disconnect between how it's sold to you from the sales dept and what the realities are.

They are very helpful and friendly. Go out of their way when needed. Yes, I would recommend the community to other families based on the experience so far.

The staff has generally been very good. The shared rooms are very small once you've moved furniture in. The small studio rooms are larger and much brighter

I found a few caring people that helped my Mom. However most of the staff in memory care are cold and seem not to care at all! I would not ever recommend this place! I have seen the memory care area only because that's where my Mom was. Many of the staff don't seem to care about the patients at all, they are going through motions and mean and uncaring towards the patients themselves! No I would not recommend this place at all...

We ended up choosing them but had to move him to a higher level of care and they were so kind and helpful and genuinely sad to see him go.

Sunrise of Schaumburg provided very good care of my mom for her short stay there ([date removed]). They had plenty of activities for the residents and the facilities were clean , modern, and well equipped. One thing I would like to say as far as facilities is the inside is fine, but the outside building from the street side needs some work- broken handrails on the porch area and trim along the roof missing or broken.

The facility is very nice. Options are good, and the staff is overall very attentive.

What we like the most about Highland Trail is the brightness, the staff, cost, mom seems happy. Yes I would recommend

Everything seems to be going smoothly. Mom says the food is good. She is well taken care of had her hair cut by the in house salon. Happy overall. It is a bit pricey.
