Sunrise Senior Living

My mother had been at an independent living facility. she was having minor falls and getting urinary track infections which were causing some memory loss. Since she has been at Sunrise Park Ridge the Urinary track infections have cleared up and her dementia / memory have greatly improved. She is active in the community and has finally adjusted to the new environment. the staff has been great and very helpful. overall it has been a good experience for my Mom and the rest of our family.

Our experience with Sunrise of Westtown was only in the Memory Care Unit. The caregivers were fantastic especially [Name removed]. She loved my mother and cared for her like she was her mother. I will never forget how wonderful she was and how happy she made my mom. Mom enjoyed the activities and friendliness of all that worked in the unit. [Name removed] was was the activity director gave his all to the residents and was very attentive to the families as well. [Name removed] who was the director of the unit was great when she was there. Unfortunately many many meetings took away from the residents which was sad because she made the residents so happy when she interacted with them. I would certainly recommend the Memory Care Unit at Westtown to anyone who is need of this specialized care.

My sisters and myself are so happy that we chose Sunrise of Erin Mills for my mother. We have the comfort of knowing that she is well taken care of and more importantly that she is safe. The staff are wonderful and Sunrise itself has a nice "homey" feeling. My mother goes on all the excursions and just loves them. The doctors come into Sunrise 3 times a week which is great. My sisters and myself do not need to take time off work to take my mother to the family doctor. I would highly recommend Sunrise for any senior member of your family.

Stratford is a "10". The most wonderful employees ever. They are so caring and made you feel so special. They went out of their way to do whatever you needed to be done.

Great staff, great support services, lots of variation in activities. Very impressive prep and smooth evacuation during the fires. Beautiful resort-like grounds. Very good food, which is important as I like to go have meals with my Dad when I can. I'm very happy with the decision to move my Dad to Sunrise Westlake Village! My Place for Mom consultant hit a grand slam!

[Name removed] really seems to enjoy living at Sunrise. Staff very friendly and helpful, food is good, making friends, all around very good experience.

The greatest asset of Sunrise of Holbrook is its dedicated, cheerful, compassionate staff. The nurses, aides, administration, maintenance, housekeeping and all the rest of the staff are helpful and accommodating. The facility is well designed and maintained. My two elderly parents are well taken care of.

My wife loved Silas Burke for the 44 days she was there. Unfortunately, she rapidly declined in her dementia and passed away at Adler Center for Care after 5 days.

A great place to live. Clean, good food, many activities, competent and friendly staff.

Like other facilities, pricey. Save some $$$ by furnishing the resident's over-the-counter medications, hygiene products, etc. Food is fantastic, staff is caring. They try their best to have varied activities, celebrate birthdays and have other theme events. No complaints - working out well for my mom.

Very caring staff. Rooms are a nice size with bigger closets than some of the other places I toured. It is clean and updated.

Brighton Gardens was the first assistant living facility I visited. After visiting a total of six facilities none compared to Brighton Gardens. Everyone looks happy there, the staff and the residents. Whenever I call or email I get a response and all my questions and concerns are met. My mother has been there for four months now after my father passed in May and she is happy and that is all I want.

We toured several senior living facilities while preparing to downsize in the summer. Sunrise was the most appealing. We toured here 3 times. On 2 of the visits we brought our adult children along for their input. Both agreed Sunrise would be a good fit. It's in good location--Lombard. It's afffordable, attractive , and not too big. The food is very good and the servers are the best. The residents were so friendly and welcoming even before we moved in. I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff--always available to answer questions or make our residence here better in some way. We're so glad to be here.

I moved my friend, [Name removed], from Massachusetts to Sunrise Wall and was concerned how she would adapt to such a change. She is in the Assisted Care level probably will move to Memory Care in the future. [Name removed] has done well - gained weight now that she has three meals a day, has made some friends (she's not that social a person, but everything is available to her if she chooses). The place is clean and staff friendly.

My mom moved into Brookdaleat the age of 98. The staff could not have been more gracious or helpful to both my mother and our family. We need to take advantage of the additional services offered on the premises - all of which are excellent. Unfortunately my mom died six months after she moved in.

We had toured places all around central Maryland and chose BG because of the range of activities and the engagement of the resident community. It hasn't disappointed -- activities have ranged from simple games like bingo to TED talks and a guest lecture from an astrophysicist, and the staff aims to keep residents active and in contact with each other. Brighton Gardens stood out from everywhere else we visited because the social interactions aren't limited to meals and activities -- many residents hang out in the common area, so their worlds are larger than their apartments, which is especially important for someone with mobility impairments. Assisted living isn't a situation anyone would hope to be in, but Brighton Gardens provides good care while trying to also keep everyone as happy and involved as possible. This is the right place for us.

My mother has passed but she was at Brighton Gardens for 3 years and it was an eye opening experience in a good sense for me. I was there everyday and after a while I realized how much work the aids and nurses had to do and sometimes it seemed they could use more help but of course with more help comes a greater cost to the residents so it is a balancing act between having enough help and keeping costs down for the residents. With all the said I think the staff was amazing. The were very compassionate and would listen to my concerns. They consoled my Mom when she was upset. I would recommend Brighton Gardens in a heart beat. No place is perfect but the nurses and staff as I said were amazing!

We looked at ALL the local assisted living places for my Mom and Sunrise stood out among the others. It's cozy and homelike, not hotel like or medicinal like some are. Mom is super happy there. She enjoys spending time walking out side or sitting in the gazebo reading. There are clubs to join, activities every day, the staff is so caring....she loves them all. And they make me feel like they care about me too. I call them all my second family. No, it is not inexpensive. But when you consider the peace of mind factor knowing that your loved one is happy and well taken care of, you simply cannot put a price on that. The food is good too! Small enough to be cozy yet spacious enough that no one feels like they are on top of each other. Please look into Sunrise....you will NOT be disappointed.

I have seen some of the most competent and caring care givers here! They are so encouraging of my personal progress that I;m making through PT and OT. Many of the meals are delicious. Anytime our table can get served early (among the first served) it is wonderful.
