Sunrise Senior Living

So far we are very pleased with how things have turned out with Sunrise at Buckhead, it is a very nice place! The people here are friendly and caring, and the facility itself is well kept and clean. I think they do a particularly good job with the food! It is tasty, and nutritious! They are very conscious of senior specific dietary needs, such as low sodium diets. It is a very nice place overall, they do a great job!

My father was nervous about moving in, but he is very pleased about being there. They have made it very comfortable for him and we are very pleased with the kindness and the care and how happy he is there.

It's been good. A lot of the residents aren't particularly social. The activities so far have been sort of superficial, and low level, and not exceptionally stimulating. They are extremely expensive, and the a la carte services add up quick, everything is for a fee. The staff are very friendly, but they seem more used to caring for people who don't want a lot of interaction. She enjoys the meals, but she thinks there is too much food, and too much waste. Everyone highly recommended them, and raved about how clean they are and how friendly the staff is, and they are. Everything they say they do they do well. It just isn't what we need, we need some more activity and stimulation.

I feel that it's very homey there. My mother actually adjusted quickly. They have been very helpful with her adjustment, and everything else. The facility is very clean and has beautiful grounds. The communication with the staff has been good. I think they could improve on the activities. More choices of activities would be nice. Everything else has been very good. I would recommend the Sunrise of Willowbrook.

Our loved one has been here a little over a year now, and so far we are very pleased with how things have gone! The staff here is friendly and professional, and they do their best to attend to her needs. She has some specific challenges and they're very and attentive and accommodating when it comes to making sure she is taken care of. Overall I'd say they do a very good job.

I have been pleased with the homey atmosphere at Sunrise. My mother feels comfortable there. It has some activities, but not too many, which for my mother is a good thing. There was frustration in the beginning, because both my parents went there and my dad's needs were an at in-between stage and we had to move him to a nursing facility and I wish they were just forthcoming about it. We were just confused on what was going to be covered. Overall I have been very pleased.

We are happy with them so far. The food could be a little better. They also could have a little more communication when it comes to feedback about care. We chose this one of others because we just liked the overall atmosphere. The residents seemed to be out and about, instead of just in their rooms. The care also just seemed a little better.

They watch after the residents. It has been a good experience for my parents, they do not have much of a choice, but they are making the best of it and so is the staff in trying to make them comfortable.

Beautiful place with excellent care. Very friendly staff and care givers. Mom is thrilled she moved in.

We're very pleased with how things have gone at Sunrise of Wayland! It's a nice looking, clean, well kept community, and the staff all seem very friendly. I really appreciate how reliable they are when it comes to communication. I live a good distance away so it is very important to me to be able to get updates on how much loved one is doing.

The Sunrise of Overland Park is a really nice place. I just wish there was a little more variety of the food. The food taste institutional. I think the staff tries their best, but they seem to be under staffed. Other than that, the location is wonderful. Everyone is very friendly. The value is excellent. I would definitely recommend the Sunrise of Overland Park. It has been a very good experience.

Friendly and clean. Caring

Our experience with Sunrise at Montgomery has only been a brief one, but overall I think they do a good job. It is a nice looking place, and the staff have been friendly and professional.

My husband and I recently placed my mom and my mother-in-law into Sunrise at Wayne. They are doing wonderfully there. The place is extremely clean. The caregivers are very friendly and helpful. They even give me hugs since it was very difficult for me to transfer caregiving of two of the most beloved people in my life. I know that both moms are being taken care of and even being loved at Sunrise. God bless all the caregivers and employees at Sunrise of Wayne.

So far they are doing a really good job. It's clean and the staff are friendly. We don't have any major complaints at this time. The assisted living seems to be a better fit for her than where she was before.

The moment my sister and I walked in the door, we had a good feeling about Sunrise at La Costa. We were looking for a place for our dad, who has Alzheimer's, to live. The first thing we saw in the middle of lobby was a large, beautiful yellow lab (labrador retriever) laying on the floor. We came to find out he was a retired seeing eye dog and his name was Landon. Landon is the unofficial canine greeter at Sunrise at La Costa. He is very welcoming and friendly and helps to make the property feel very homey. The decor in all the common areas is comfortable with big overstuffed chairs and warm lighting, and all the rooms are nicely appointed. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with rose bushes, flowering annuals, tropical perennials and palms. The one bedroom apartments are spacious and offer generous closets and storage. Most importantly, though, is that the licensing and programs at Sunrise allow for residents with Alzheimer's diagnoses to live in assisted living for as long as possible before moving to memory care. That was key reason my sister and I ultimately chose to move Dad to Sunrise. He is relatively self sufficient and fiercely independent, so the idea that he could live in an assisted living apartment rather than a studio in memory care was important to us. Last but not least, the people who work at Sunrise are friendly, compassionate and caring. Most have worked there for many years--a sure sign that management is stable and the work environment is good.

at fiist it was very difficult for my loved as she wanted to be at home but that is not always the best for them if the live alone, my loved one has no siblings left nor had any children but as time went on and Sunrise got to know her better and her needs ,she has done better than home care that she had in the past as they are allways there and we had 2 home care services and when it would snow or someone could not make it to take care of her as she lived alone i would get a call that they were trying to get someone there as she cannot function buy herself.That is not happening now and I hope we can continue to keep her there for the rest of her days .God willing.Her cargivers seem to be right on what she needs and she is warming up to them. They make sure she gets her meds and sees the Dr.and blood work with out having to take her out as it is very difficult to take her anywhere.a worry off my mind .

My father in law is 90yrs old. Until Jan of this year, he was a very self sufficient WWII Marine Raider Vet who lost his wife 4 yrs prior. When his health started to diminish, we had to find a place that was close by, clean, friendly and safe. When we toured this facility, we all fell in love with it. It's like a bed and breakfast with its quaint porches, and charming decor. We met with Craig the Director who carefully listened to our various concerns and needs. His kindness and commitment matched perfectly with our needs. He went above and beyond what I think his role is and now Nat (Father in Law) is comfortly happy and healthy living at the Sunrise House. He's already started to make friends and has won 16 Bingo games! Thank you Sunrise House, and a big thank you to Craig for doing all that you did for our family. We are looking forward to celebrating dad's 90th birthday on May 31st in the activities room where his whole family can celebrate dad's new chapter of life!
