Sunrise Senior Living

I visited my sister & brother-in-law and stayed in a room during that time. The meals were balanced, delicious, and served efficiently by courteous staff. People living there were friendly & initiated appropriate contact. The managers were without flaw & went beyond the norm to help me. Would highly recommend.

I placed my mom in Sunrise 3 weeks ago. The entry process was quick and efficient. I give Sunrise excellent marks for providing the care my mom needs. An illness left her with assisted living as the only option for her, and with the physical therapy staff at Sunrise, she is making great progress in becoming ambulatory again. The community is attentive, and the atmosphere is clean and bright with wholesome meals and daily activities. My mom is very happy and safe.

All is going well with the care and the staff have been great and patient with my mom, who wants to come home. Nothing is wrong with the place, it is beautiful and great. They involve her with activities and we encourage her. It is more safe for her to be here and I would highly recommend them. [Removed] was terrific and he is the right person for the job.

All is pretty well since my mother's move to this community. She is still adjusting to it a little bit, but I know she is in a good place. They have a lovely staff, and they have been helpful and attentive. The community is well maintained, they do a good job with keeping the facility nice and neat. I know she is being cared for well, and she is in good, caring hands. This is a community I would recommend, it has worked out well for my family.

I was very impressed with Sunrise. I'm not sure when were going to be ready to do this since mom is definatly not ready. I do like the option of putting down a deposit and getting on the wait list. I will revisit this after the holidays. Thank you

I'am very satisfied with my husbands move to this community. It is a very nice place, and everyone is very kind as well. I know he is safe and being cared for very well at this community. They have a great staff, and they have been very helpful and accommodating.It has been a lovely experience, and I would recommend this community. It is a great place..

Our parents are just getting settled in and have recently moved from another assisted living community. There is a world of difference at Sunrise! It feels like a home. We have been very happy with all of the staff. They are so caring and follow-up on everything they have promised at this point and extra. All the residents are so welcoming as well. We are so happy to have our parents in such a great community. All the caregivers seem genuinely interested in the well being of our parents. It feels good to know they are being cared for so well. They communicate with us frequently and also with each other. It is so nice to be able to trust that our concerns are followed up on. We feel very fortunate to have our parents at Sunrise.

The atmosphere on the 3rd floor, which is the memory care unit, is amazing. There are windows all over the place and the staff take the residents out on walks. It is a huge step up from the previous place she was at. On the third floor, they have outdoors porches. Around the building, they have a beautiful walkway with waterfalls and flowers. Even through the memory care is on the third floor, it has a beautiful outdoors and you can bring your own plants and flowers to plant there. As a matter a fact, I love the patio I like it so much I am duplicating it outside of my own bedroom at home, it is just so nice. My mother is so much more social and likes to participate in everything now. Such a huge difference.

We liked this community. The staff were great and friendly. They had a elevator and we were nt not sure that would work for her.. The community is clean. The food seemed appealing. We did like the variety of activities that would of been offered. We would recommend this community for the care and value depending on the needs of a family member.

The staff has really been helping my uncle in the rehab. The staff is wonderful. He really likes it here and says that everything has been going good. The community is really huge and I think that is why he likes it. I would recommend them to my friends.

The people here were great with my aunt. She really liked it. The chef Michael was wonderful and made sure that he was accommodating to my aunt. It is a beautiful community just to far for us. The staff are wonderful with the residents.

The staff has been very nice and accommodating to my uncle and my aunt. They really do like it here. They offer a lot of things for the residents to stay active. The food on the other hand can use some work in the flavor department. Other than that all is going well.

Lovely location! Residents everywhere interacting & enjoying activities. Most significant is the passion of the employees for the residents of this community! All of them started in basic jobs & worked their way up, being there for 12-20 years.Another 1st choice facility that seems more like home.......got to sample a meal & speak with the chef.....looking forward to coming back!

Everything seems to be working out great for dad. We really like the community. Dad likes the food he just gets tired of the same thing all the time. The staff are friendly and attentive and that was a major thing for us.

The staff have been really good at helping my dad get acclimated in his new living environment. They are very accommodating to his needs and have made him feel right at home the best they can. My dad has recently been participating in some of the activities and seems to really enjoy the arts and crafts program. He has no complaints about the food and has really enjoyed his dinning experience.

This is a community that I toured with. The person who gave the tour was nice and I thought the place was a good place but not what I needed for my loved one.

The staff has been great here and they are doing an excellent job with taking care of my wife. The community is always spotless. My wife likes to watch the musicals that they put on there. They do have a lot of activities that they offer.

The care that my mom is getting here at this community. The offer good meals and a good variety. My mom is offered to participate with others in activities. The community is clean and theenvironment is wonderful. I like that she is getting great care here. I do recommend this community for the care of a loved one.

Really liked this place after visiting it. Be aware, however, that it is subsidized by the county & there are income limits and other requirements, though they probably won't be huge obstacles for many seniors. The residents have to be pretty ambulatory and they have to be continent or able to take care of their own incontinence needs. When I visited there was a 4 to 5 month wait time for getting in. One thing I liked about Braddock Glen was that everything is included in the price (light assistance, usually med management, 3 meals, etc.) You know what you're going to pay, unless your situation changes quite a bit. Also, the lunch I had was great and the residents seemed to be enjoying it too. The layout and look of the place were great with ample space & lots of nooks, crannies, benches, and outdoor areas. The caregivers served lunch and appeared to be familiar with the residents (and vice versa). They also appeared to be attentive and caring. The residents are quite active with no or little evidence of dementia. I was surprised at how many people had decorated their doors - looks very homey, creative and not institutional. The things that may not be ideal to some people are that the studios seem a little small compared to others I've seen, with the one bedrooms not much bigger (but priced accordingly). The activities are a little bit limited, and the menu choices and times for meals are a little limited, although there are always alternate food choices. Each studio or one bedroom has a microwave and fridge, so that provides another option if people don't want to eat in the dining room all the time. There isn't much within walking distance for independent folks unless you're willing to walk 8/10th of a mile, but if so, there are 2 shopping centers with just about anything you might need. The facility also provides a bus once a week to go to a grocery or other store like Target, Wal-mart, etc. Basically, this place seems like an excellent choice for people on a moderate to low income who are reasonably able to walk (rollators OK) and don't require lots of assistance. It's not ritzy, but it's definitely not depressing or spartan either. However, keep in mind that there's no memory care or higher level of care available, so if your situation changes drastically, you may need to move. (At least the one-time move-in fee isn't really high!)

The community did not work out for us but it was nothing on their part. My loved one was just not happy. They tried everything possible, though, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was nice, clean and maintained well. Defiantly a good place for anyone looking.
