Sunrise Senior Living

We, three siblings, visited about six senior living homes in the Katy area. By far, Sunrise was a unanimous choice! We have not been disappointed and Mom seems content in locked memory care.

The facility has good energy about it. It has a homey feeling. Staff is very good with my mother in law, and she can be difficult because of her brain injury from a stroke. We have cameras in the room and we check in often and the staff is very kind to her and appears to take good care of her. Activities people are wonderful. The nurses are great. She has a feeding tube and needs extra care. The CNA's are also very nice. I am very happy with the decision to place her there.

Special recognition for [name removed], who runs the Terrace Club Unit on the second floor. She is very patient with the residents and is very kind. She redirects them very kindly and is great! She speaks to me by name when I'm in the building and I just very much appreciate everything that she does. Also, if you are not using the facility doctor, I would recommend getting an order for Advil or Tylenol upfront, in case of a headache. Otherwise, things have been great and the people there have been great. I would recommend Sunrise Villa Tuckahoe to others.

I was able to take a look around at this facility. They are going through some updates. Really like the colors and all the people looked happy. [Name removed] the sales person was so helpful. My mom is moving down in October. This is for sure my top pick.

I toured Sunrise La Costa for my grandmother a few days ago. The community is going through a renovation but I was able to see the common areas as well as a couple of available model rooms. I'm looking for a place where my grandmother will be able to live longterm. They offer independent and assisted living and then they have a separate Memory Care. I met the activity director [name removed] who was eager to learn more about my grandmother's hobbies. The residents were happy and well cared for. All of the directors that I met were friendly and had years of experience working in senior living communities. I'm looking forward to bringing Grammy for a tour

We looked at this community along with several others in the area. This was a good community, along with the others we looked at. We allowed our loved one to make the decision, and they chose another community due to location to family.

The staff is really, really great! It's a small community so they know everybody really well and things can be tailored to individual residents. It is probably not the fanciest, or shiniest of some of the communities but it provides the services that it's residents needs really well.

While I feel like Brighton of Gardens of Stamford is a bit overpriced, the staff are kind and caring. And I appreciate the clean environment and open communication.

I thought sunrise would have been a really nice choice, but they only took one pet and they only had ground floor rooms so anybody could come in through a door and that's really an issue with my loved one.

I toured Sunrise of Webster Groves last month. I was very impressed with the facilities and the staff. The building was immaculate and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions thoroughly. It is definitely at the top of my list for a place for my family member to live.

I took a tour with [name removed] and [name removed] last week to see Sunrise, and it was very pleasant. The people living there seemed to like it, they even offered to have my mom join them in bingo next week. Overall great place

[name removed] in the sales office was amazing! He was the most helpful with giving advice on how to navigate the whole transition. He was leagues better than any other person at other facilities. Everything is lovely...even the gardens Sunrise at Fair Oaks has a very friendly, tenured staff. Retention is difficult in the industry so Sunrise is a bright spot! My dad had terrible bed sores from a nursing home but Sunrise was able to get everything looking great in less than 2 weeks! It was amazing. Sunrise is great because their menu is longer than any other facility we toured and the options are better. Dad likes variety. Since my dad is bed bound, he hasn't participated in any activities, but there's a lot to get involved with if you can. Most facilities don't offer the levels of care that Sunrise does. Once you determine which level of care is appropriate, you get a clear understanding of what's included. Sunrise is very transparent.

What we really like about Sunrise of Louisville is the staff, the way staff treats the residence is exceptional and you can see the care in their hearts. And they work hard to include everyone. However, there are times when response times are poor. Staffing may be a little low but all in all they do a great job and I have no complaints.

I rate Sunrise at Bon Air as all being a five. My husband received great care there. They were also attentive to me. The staff are friendly and very compassionate. The facility was always clean. The staff was very attentive to my husband and his needs, which were many. The food was delicious. I know because I had several meals. I would not hesitate to recommend Sunrise at Bon Air to family and friends.

My loved one was a resident at Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem and everything about our experience was great. The move in process was easy and they were able to find us an extra bed because we were having trouble arranging delivery. The room was ready for us and they communicated well with us. [name removed] was fantastic to work with. She was instrumental in our being able to get my loved one placed so quickly. We would certainly recommend this facility to others.

It is very bright and there is lots of natural light in the 3 story entryway. So if you live on the 2nd or 3rd floor, you can listen to live music from upstairs, which is nice in case you don't want to go downstairs. Great art activities. Food ranges from great to decent. The management does a great job of asking for feedback. I think there needs to be more than 1 elevator for all of the residents who are mobility challenged. The bus takes residents to grocery shop and to local activities.

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending Mother's Day this morning at Sunrise of Shrewsbury with my mother-in-law. Sunrise hosted their first annual Mother's Day brunch and it was spectacular! ?? The food was excellent, the room was decorated beautifully for all the moms and grandmothers, and best of all, the staff went above-and-beyond to make this event wonderful! [name removed]and her staff were magnificent; so friendly and welcoming! They couldn't do enough for all of the guests. Mom-Osas were served and the amazing Petal and her culinary staff cooked up such delicious food! Everything was done in Rose Gold, from the plates, utensils, table decorations, balloons- it was very elegant. Even the coffee cups were flowered and put smiles on our faces! The pianist was very entertaining and played for two straight hours. Many thanks to [name removed], [name removed], and the entire staff at Sunrise for a wonderful morning filled with memories that will last a lifetime!

What a nice community, I love the small size and the feel as you walk into the lobby. The renovations look great. I think it'll be a great place for my mother I met a few of the directors and they seemed very invested in their community. The activity director took the time to learn more about my mom's interest.

I went to see my uncle today at this location. I came in from northern CA. He loves to walk and this building has many outside areas. They are going through a renovation and the colors are beautiful. I can’t wait to come back in a few months to see the progress.

I was able to see the facility during happy hour. The staff and people looked like they were having so much fun. The music was great they even had some yummy Snacks. My mother met some Ladies and sat with them. Overall great experience.
