Sunrise Senior Living

Sunrise at Fountain Square was also excellent but more expensive than Bloomingdale. The outside of the independent living at the Lombard location looked like little houses. So adorable. I was unaware that each Sunrise location has different pricing. All of the senior were out and about congregating and it felt like a little community. They also had snacks available for residents whenever they wanted them. I was very impressed.

I absolutely loved Sunrise in Bloomingdale. It was warm and inviting. Seniors were walking around and congregating on the main floor. Snacks are provided for the residents through the day. I did visit the memory care section and it was the best I have ever seen -I was very impressed. I didn't even feel like I was in a memory care unit. If families are trying not to have that typical nursing home feel for their families and have the funds for a more comforting care, then Sunrise is the way to go.

Although [name removed] really wanted to be home she really liked the facility, and the staff were so kind.I think the community went out of their way to make [name removed} feel welcome, and to also ensure that she got the things she needed. I was used to getting calls at all hours of the night from [name removed] complaining about her previous stay at another facility but with Sunrise, I didn't get a single call. Sunrise was a godsend for [names removed]and myself. [name removed] was in so much distress and due to you and the personnel at the facility, her last days were as peaceful as possible. Thank you.

My mom seems to be happy. She does complain about the wait time in the dining room though. However based on our experience so far we would recommend this community to other families.

Our family had an in person tour with Sunrise of Plano and we thought the experience and the community was very nice, but the reason we did not pick it was because the apartment and room was just not as big as we wanted it to be.

Assistance in the residents suites available around the clock. Very nice sized studios. I observed the residents enjoying a piano concert when I toured. Everybody seemed engaged and well cared for. Lively group.

The Quadrangle has been a wonderful place for my mom to have community, enjoyable and stimulating activities, and supportive health care staff. The surroundings are beautiful, with large trees, flowering shrubs and paved walking paths. The residents are progressive, intellectually curious and love live music, reading, and the arts. They form their own committees for partial self governance. Mom could have used more activities organized by the Quadrangle and not only those led by residents.

We had a great experience with everyone at Sunrise. The facility was lovely, the nursing staff compassionate, administrative and housekeeping terrific and the management top notch. I can tell you that the director of this facility, the director of sales, the head of nursing, and the head of housekeeping and administrative staff all gave us their cell phone numbers to contact for any questions we had at any time. We did contact them and they either had or found the answers. That showed us they are extremely "resident" and family focused. Not only that, but they frequently queried us on how things were going and how could they assist if necessary. In addition, we were able to get a cat for our relative who was almost a therapy pet in her last weeks. They provided the necessary paperwork and support so we were able to get a cat that not only provided comfort, but also was cleared health wise and temperament wise to safely interact with staff and other residents (residents did not happen). Family and friends were welcomed at any time, and though our experience there was only 3 months, it made a difficult situation easier to manage. Our family member was in hospice. However, when we needed the sunrise nurses or had any special housekeeping wants or questions on anything they were great. Due to hospice, our loved one was unable to participate in anything....but there were certainly a number of activities available and the daily ones we saw appeared well attended.

The care, friendliness, and cleanliness was beyond my expectations. Pleasantly surprised. The only opportunity noted to improve would be to increase staffing. However, this seems a common concern with all healthcare facilities presently. I would most definitely recommend Sunrise at Fountain Square to other families looking - it was our top choice and we have been pleased with the overall experience.

I would tell others that they try very hard to accommodate the desires and habits and personalized care that your loved one may need. I think they are great about giving feedback so that you can feel like your family member is being well cared for and that they actually pay attention to detail and try to customize the care. I like that the facility is smaller and has a better staff-to-resident ratio. I would definitely recommend Sunrise of University Park.

Everyone was very helpful and supportive to our family. I would definitely recommend Sunrise of Chandler to others looking.

I give Sunrise of Columbia 5 plus stars, the experience was great. The staff are just fabulous, each and every one of them. They are super caring and accommodating. A lot of places the staff turnover rate is high, but here I found that a lot of the staff had been here 15-20 years so they really care about what they are doing. I would not place family members anywhere else but Sunrise and would HIGHLY recommend the facility to others.

The recent price hikes really suck. Because of these unexpected price hikes for example $50 a day they're going to be pricing my brother right out of that home. Because of this reason, I would not recommend Sunrise of Chesterfield to others.

[name removed] and [name removed] were so very kind and hospitable. The community is so clean and the staff look so happy to work there. [name removed] holds such care and positivity when she comes to work and it’s comforting to see someone like that being in her role as the leader of the building.

They took very good care of my mother while she was here. She got quality, top-notch care from the beginning all the way until the end. They allowed hospice to come in and were great to work with. I think It is a great facility to be at and they really felt like family. I would highly recommend Sunrise of Shelby Township to others.

I would recommend the community for assisted living to others for their loved ones. The staff was very helpful, courteous, and the care of the family and our loved one was fantastic. The staff communication with the family was very good. They made sure to answer our questions quickly, and were very upfront and made sure that we knew what was going on with our loved one or any changes.

The facility was very clean - also laid out well to maximize opportunities for social interactions. The staff were so helpful, very approachable and supportive. I was navigating all of this from another state - they were very helpful in giving me comfort from afar!

At least one family member sees her father once a day and every experience at Sunrise has been great. Based on our experience so far we would recommend this community to other families.

The facility is very clean and well taken care of. The staff works well with the patients and show they care. I would recommend Sunrise of Lafayette Hill to others.

I have been extremely pleased with the level of thoughtful care, attention and supervision that my mother has received by the team of caregivers at Sunrise of San Mateo! My mother, who is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's disease, wheelchair bound and cannot care for herself, has resided in the Reminiscence memory care area for nearly 5 years. Sunrise of San Mateo's Reminiscence program provides a caring, comfortable, and secure home like environment for adults experiencing moderate to advanced memory loss. The team of caregivers are trained, caring individuals that provide my mother with the thoughtful care and attention she requires and needs. I am thankful that my mother resides at Sunrise of San Mateo and find it comforting that she is surrounded by people that are thoughtful, capable, caring, well trained and genuinely invested in the well being of their residents!
