The Apsley took care of my mother during her last months of life and it was the best decision I ever made, as I was unable to care for her on my own. While she was hesitant to move there initially, almost immediately she found herself being caught up in all of the amazing, sophisticated events, and found a wonderful crew of friends. I wish she had had more time there, but in the time that she had I saw her come alive again. Everyone who works at the Apsley on the upper West side are warm, wonderful people. While the price tag is high, it’s well worth the money, especially if you are considering hiring 24 hour care.

My Mother has enjoyed the staff, envirnment and food enormously. She moved in very unhappy with moving out of her home. She has thanked me many, many times for making her make this move in the 6mths she has lived here. She loves all the activities and people. The staff is very easy for me to work with. They keep me updated on any changes that occur with my mother, good or bad. They are very caring and kind but efficient and knowledgable.

toured a lot of places in area and many felt the same but Sunrise felt warm & more like a family. not ready to make a move yet but this is where we will choose. Liked that parents could stay togather despite having different needs which seemed to not be an option at others.

Everyone is nice and friendly since the day I moved in. Staff is great , food is always good , with a lot of options and activities is always to my liking. They have a huge library of books as I love to read.

I’ve worked alongside the team at Sunrise Richmond to coordinate care for a mutual patient and they were nothing short of fantastic! Quick responses, open communication, and teamwork! A pleasure to work with.

My siblings and I were looking for a place for our mom when she started showing signs of dementia. Our mom was still able to dress herself, feed herself, and was very mobile. We wanted to get her into a place that she could call “home” and stop the shifting her from one sibling to another as that was starting to cause confusion with her. We also knew that as soon as her memory loss increased, we needed a place that offered both assisted living and memory care residency. Sunrise was the perfect place. From the start of the process, the staff were warm and friendly. They gave us a sense of trust and security knowing our sweet mom would be taken care of. Her room was perfect! Cozy and inviting. She had everything she needed. The staff really focused on what my mom enjoyed doing and always accommodated her. She loved to walk and often times, staff would walk with her. The staff were like family and we knew she was in good hands. I would highly recommend Sunrise for your loved one.

The time recently came for my mom to make the transition from independent living to assisted living. We did extensive research for an assisted living facility near our home in New Jersey before we moved her from New York. The transition has been incredibly smooth and everyone at sunrise has been warm, understood her needs and interests and have gone above and beyond to make her transition comfortable for her and our family. The facility itself is beautiful and clean and we are thrilled that she is being taken care of by a very professional and attentive staff. We are very happy with Sunrise in Summit and would recommend to anyone who is looking here.

I have been looking for independent living for my mom for a few months. Two things made Bedford Court unique. They had a representative who lived there show us around, which was so helpful in getting a feel for what the place was like. They also allowed my mom to do a trial stay. This experience basically changes how my mom feels about independent living - she had been reluctant to embrace the idea previously. And, I guess a third, the people. It was such a warm and welcoming group, they really won us over. Bedford Court has the amenities of many of the other spots, but the community makes it extra special.

I moved my sister into Braddock Glen/Sunrise with ease thanks to entire staff from the DOS, Facility Manager to the entire staff being concerned and welcoming. My sister has not had one negative thing to say so far and is extremely happy.

I found Braddock Glen while I was looking for a senior community for a dear friend. The staff is always warm and caring. I visit my friend at least once a week and I am happy about the care she is receiving . The environment is warm and cheery ,and definitely has a good community feeling.

Today we had a very nice tour . We were impressed with the festive atmosphere and delicious food. They have many areas available for socializing, a nice library, a gym and outdoor areas to enjoy when the weather is good. Am hoping that my mother decides to give this place a try.

Our mom has been at Sunrise for almost a year. Facing different care needs over the years our family has experienced a lot of different facilities. Mom is really thriving at Sunrise of Richmond and it is due to the wonderful community she is immersed in. The staff are so thoughtful , caring and professional. She is safe and HAPPY. I love my daily updates from mom on all of her conversations and activities. I enjoy speaking with other residents when I visit. She is truly cared for and her smile shows it.

I helped a good friend with moderate Alzheimer’s find an assisted living situation when it became impossible for her to live independently and manage life’s responsibilities. We have found the staff at Sunrise to be caring and compassionate, and attentive to resident needs. My friend enjoys being able to live her days without the burdens of daily life responsibilities; the common areas are comfortable and well appointed and the grounds are well-maintained and afford the opportunity for wonderful walks and exercise. She can get her hair done and a mani-pedi without leaving the property. The resident activity program is packed with activities and outings, and there are opportunities for spiritual fulfillment. Sunrise has a staff doc who can address basic resident health needs and concerns. Family is welcome and encouraged to visit and participate in special celebrations. It’s great to know that your loved one is safe and well-cared for.

Brighton Gardens was for me a very welcoming Community with very professional and caring staff. My confidence in Brighton began with the interview. I was impressed with the staff members understood my needs and outlined in clear terms what the community offered. The full range of staff services, the variety of activities and the delicious cuisine proved to be the best place for recuperation and recovery. I sincerely appreciate the care I received.

Initially both of my parents were in memory care because my father would not leave my mother's side. A difficult and unusual situation that sunrise managed to navigate. My mother spent her last days in dogwood with my father at her bedside. After a brief departure of a few months, my father returned to Assisted living. He was welcomed like a valuable and missed family member. We've gotten to know the staff pretty well over the last year and a half and they really have become an extension of our family. If there is a problem or an issue, definitely let someone know and they will address it. I wish I had known about Sunrise Parham during covid, I would have immediately moved my parents here. There is never a place as perfect as taking care of your parents yourself, however, all of the staff from sales to housekeeping to dining room to medical care, et al. are kind and attentive to needs. I am ever mindful that attitude reflects leadership and Sunrise Parham has outstanding leadership.

My mother lives in this facility and is adjusting better than our family thought. Everyone here is caring and compassionate. We appreciate your kindness and patience.

We would recommend this place. Chose this facility because of these things and the levels of care. Very nice facility and staff.

What our family likes the most about the Sunrise of Webster Groves is the transparency from the staff, the friendliness of the staff and the culture. Dad enjoys activities and reminders/ friendly peer pressure to come to things he would like

On my first visit to the Colonnades, I was pleasantly surprised by how often I was greeted by residents. Those cordial welcomes continued when I, too, became a resident, and soon, I had new friends. “Community” is quite real at the Colonnades, beginning with the so-helpful staff, who quickly knew my name, and with visits by the various departments heads who provided information and answered questions. A broad selection of activities and programs are designed for involved, informed participants. A notable feature of the community is its omnipresent light, with the outdoors visible around and above. This openness extends to the apartments, as each has a good-sized balcony or patio, all with views of the beautifully maintained property. Another important feature is its location, only minutes from the amenities of Charlottesville while the spacious grounds are surrounded by woods and walking trails. The Colonnades is a warm, secure, and energizing place to live one’s later years.
