I really liked this property. Both the studio and one bedroom units were very spacious. I especially liked the wheelchair-accessible shower stall in both units. [Name removed] was a very gracious tour guide and I was impressed with the friendliness of the other staff. Although the property was a little older, it was very well maintained.

Beautiful facility. But you have to bring you own furniture. Highly in convenient during this stressful time. Very nice place though. I spoke with [name removed] (I (I think) on the phone and she is quite lovely and very helpful. The weekend staff was very nice as well.

Familiar with CalPERS billing; short term skilled nursing; RN or LVN on duty. Set fee @ daily rate, included basic cable. resident pays for WIFI & phone. Slight odor in halls. Restaurant style dining. Security pendant @ $50/mo; Toured studio & 1bed. Outdoor pool/jacuzzi, putting green & gardening. Laundry & housekeeping 1x/week. Accepts Medicare/Medical. Independent living in separate bldg. Respite care available +$500 "move=in" @ +$15.00 over daily rate.

Dad is adjusting very well here better than I expected. They have all the services my dad needs and the most important thing is the medication management getting them on time. This place is always clean. Dad is fitting in well and meeting people. He gets 3 good meals a day but they are about to accommodate him with a diabetic diet. They try to engage him to join the daily activities. They have a pool and nice amenities all the way around. I want to say that [Removed] has outstanding customer service. She has gone to visit dad to see if he is adjusting well. And she will call me and communicate very well. I recommend this community.

I was looking for facilities for my Husband that offered respite care. We ended up picking this community because they were the only place with an opening due to the recent fires in the area. The staff members here checked on my husband frequently and they seemed to be very courteous. They helped him bathe regularly and they even got him a lift chair to help him. For amenities they had a TV in his room, full access to the internet, and a restaurant that looked really nice. I would recommend this facility to other families.

This community has been everything we expected and more. They are providing my sister and I with everything we need and they treat us like queens. The whole facility just feels warm, comfy, and like we’re at home. The food is good, the menu is good, and they have an excellent chef. You can even request a special meal and they will give it to you. For activities, they offer things like live entertainment, a lot of get-togethers, bingo, poker, and bible study. I would definitely recommend this facility. They give us everything that we could want.

I was more than impressed with the people who are working with me at Grossmont Gardens. I was asked excellent questions and the people were VERY knowledgeable. I have decided to place my mother in their facility and I couldn't be happier.

We were extremely impressed with the time [Removed] spent figuring out my mom's situation and a placement that would give her as much independence as possible while still providing the care she needs. The residents at Grossmont Gardens seemed quite happy. This will most likely be my mom's new home.

My husband and I stayed for respite during the month of July 2017. Staff were warm and attentive, meals tasty , and facilities comfortable. We would return for future stays and highly recommend Grossmont Gardens

First thing I noticed was how clean and serene the environment was as well as the positive demeanor of the Residents. One of the Residents actually told the Director, who was giving me the tour, "OH my daughter just left. She knows I'm happy, so there's no need for her to stay." Guess that speaks for itself.

We toured this nice community. It is a bigger community and did not have the feeling that we were looking for at the time. The lunch was appealing and we liked the variety. they have a lot of activities. We would recommend this community for families to tour for the care of a loved one with a good value and atmosphere for others.

Everything is going wonderfully at Grossmont Gardens! The staff are very attentive and the facility is kept very well maintained; I'd like to move in there! My mother also enjoys the activities that the facility has to offer. I am pleased with her stay!

The care at this community is wonderful. The staff are very respectful. The menu is good, but might use a little help with some flavor. I like that she is offered to participate in activities with the other residents. We would recommend the care of this community to other families for the care of a loved one

The grounds here are absolutely beautiful.Everything is currently in bloom. They offer a fenced in pool and several fruit trees.My mother's room is nicely sized and she has her own patio on the first floor. Grossmont was the first community we looked at and it seemed to be the one that offered the most of what we were looking for.

My brother has been at Brookdale Magnolia for 3 weeks. A smooth pleasant transition. The food is great and I feel that he is getting excellent care. The staff has been very receptive to his needs and my concerns. It has been a stress free move.

I toured this community and really liked the staff who were nice and friendly. The community I found to be clean and well maintained. The did have a nice variety of health meals. The list of activities was helpful to the residents. I would recommend that families tour the community for the care of a loved one.

I'm really disappointed right now with the higher ups here. The girls who work in the dementia care do the best they can. The care is phenomenal and I feel they don't get paid enough for what they do. [Removed] has been very helpful with the billing because the structure is very confusing. I was very upset to hear they let [Removed] go because she was so helpful. I feel the issue here is not the staff but the directors and corporate superiors who have made changes. The staff members are doing the best they can with the changes that have been implemented. The girls are great and the care in the dementia area. My husband is doing much better than I thought! I'm sure he knows where he is but he seems very happy!The activities director is very joyous and fantastic! They offer plenty activities and they even have him singing! I don't visit during meal time but he says they offer enough snacks during the day and good portion sizes. I would definitely recommended them!

I would not hesitate to recommend this Brookdale. When we first walked into it for the tour, we knew mother would be comfortable here. The place is very clean, they have housekeeping clean my mother's apartment once a week and she says she has never seen a bathroom shine the way they leave it. When she first moved in, she was on the second story but as soon as there was an opening on the first, she moved there. The maintenance man, [Removed], helped us move so there was no need to call family for help. [Removed], the nurse there is very nice. We are pleased with our choice.

Very nice facility - staff very friendly.. Impressive - even has a pool and hot tub as well as 7-7 meals -very active social calendar. Large warm friendly living room - Bistro area for coffee tea and wine Happy hour gatherings.
