VERY NICE well lit, Beautifully decorated, NEW spacious facility. Also does NOT take Medicaid but offer some of the same discounts as other facilities in the surrounding area. [Name removed] was very nice and friendly. Staff smiles and acknowledges your presence while you are there.

I have lived here happily for almost eight (8) years.

Staff is very kind and seems to really care about the residents. Dad has been very happy here and enjoys the activities and interacting with other residents. Good food!

This has been a great place to transition to out of my home. I came for two winters and decided to stay on after I recovered from a broken hip and didn't think I should be alone in my home.

Meets my needs since I can do most things for myself I really enjoy Independent Living

Staff and caregivers are extremely friendly and caring. They treat their residents with dignity no matter their age or situation. I especially love that they play music in the memory care area that is age appropriate (the 50s, 60s, and 70s), not older music. This is "their" music and I am sure it helps to spark memories.

This facility was very clean and very friendly staff. Location was in a very busy part of town and a growing community.

Very nice facility, but not thrilled with 1 bedroom options

Clean facility. Nice managers to work with. Parents have been living there over four years. However they have no internet pushed to all apartments. Been requesting for years but no go yet. Other facilities owed by the same company owed by Lincoln Square have it. Also they should offer two meals a day plans rather than the standard three built into the pricing. 75% of tenants do not attend breakfast. Those monies are a clear windfall for the corporate owners! Also surprised they have no practice tornado or fire drills. We observed one there one time and people were frantic and did not know what to do! Should have periodic safety drills.

Moved into the facility but had to leave as needs changed and assisted living was required. They could not provide a 2-person lift in AL.

The services we receive are very good. I love living here with my husband. Everyone is so kind and helpful.

[Name removed] and [name removed] were wonderful and gave us a great tour. It was clean and the residents were very pleasant and appeared well tended to. The apartments are nice and the grounds I am sure are beautiful in the summer. Overall we had a good experience. Staff was friendly and residents seemed to be talking to each other. The room sizes were adequate. It did seem a little dated and had a slight smell throughout the building.

Small, comfortable, clean community. Residents and staff were engaged and content.

Overall our family is very happy with Parkside. Dad is happy and that is 100% the most important part. We do feel there is a little confusion at times, but they are expanding and hiring so that is to be expected. The only negative, it understanding the health support for our dad. There was some confusion in the first week or so on medication, but we worked that out. We feel some of the nursing staff are very friendly, while others, not so much. The aides have been great. We approach this as we are a team working to make sure dad is well cared for, etc. Some of the nursing staff can seem unapproachable (or like why are you asking me that) at times. Again, they are expanding and it could be related to that. Food could be better and could be a little more like home cooking, but we understand they are cooking for a lot of people with varying needs. Dad is also used to traditional cooking. Overall, we are very happy with the move to Parkside Assisted Living. We recommend the facility.

The Spring Meadows facility is not as contemporary as other communities that we visited, but there was much more activity going on. We really enjoyed our time with the Marketing Director, [name removed]. You can really tell how much she cares about the residents. It definitely feels like more of a family environment there. Living units are somewhat dated. They are more utilitarian than fresh and lively.

Our mom was a military wife, moving sometimes every two years with their seven kids in tow! So for us to find a place for Mom was important. After looking at different spots around Plainfield, Naperville and Joliet. We knew Senior Star was it! And it has been a good choice! She loves her apartment and the friendly staff.

Pearl Crossing provides a safe environment for my mother to live. She constantly remarks on how friendly everyone is. When she has concerns, staff listen to her attentively. One area that has diminished in the year she has lived here is the quality of the food. My family regularly eats with her, and we agree that the quality of the food has gone down. It used to be superior, now is OK. We are very pleased with the management staff concern for the residents. Even without additional care providers, the staff check on residents and contact family when things seem amiss. There is great additional support staff to contract with for help, both temporarily and ongoing.

I moved into Powell Senior Living June 19, 2018. I selected a 1 bedroom apartment 1 bathroom with a den looking out over the front of the building. While I wanted a first floor apartment there was only a 3rd floor available. Due to mobility challenges i’ve Found that owning a scooter to go to the dining room is essential. More elevators are needed. I love the friendliness of the staff and residents. The theater, beauty shop and exercise room are all very handy. The spacious dining room with 3 meals/day is lovely but lacking the option for fewer meals. The Bistro is open too and generous with options for sandwiches etc all day included in the monthly fee. Three times/month you can request your meal delivered to your apartment should you choose. My only complaint is the rapid turnover of staff including the kitchen. Service is slow and quality of the food inconsistent. Each chef uses different recipes—-some not so good. Parking is adequate should you choose to keep your car. There is even an option to pay to keep car garaged through the Winter. Perhaps the biggest benefit is social. The common areas are lovely to gather in and activities available all day. Medically PSL will help arrange home health care and therapies on site when needed. The Assisted Living Facility is nearby should the need arise and PSL will arrange the move.

I enjoy the food and have no complaints. I really enjoy all the activity options offered. I love my spacious apartment. I wish there was transportation on Sundays for church services.
