I moved in here [date removed]. My hometown is the U.P. of Michigan and the town is Manistique. My daughters who live in Kawalin and in South Lyn found this assisted living and decided it was the place for their mom. It was a good choice and I am very happy here.

Very clean. Well organized and friendly. They are very helpful. The food and service is tops.

I love the changes and renovations they're making - things like new carpet and new furniture. Before that, it was very drab as far as decorating goes, and it was definitely due for a change. For me, it suits me just fine, and I've been a very independent lady for a very long time. Everybody's been friendly and kind, there's no chill in the air in any way. The food is very good. It's well balanced, and not over salted. It's just like a restaurant where some things are great, and some things are less so. But even the less great meals are still very good. It seems like there's always something going on activity-wise. The people here seem very young and upbeat and nice.

The last year of my father in laws life was greatly enhanced by his move to the Independent village of Waterstone. After arriving from a hospital/rehab setting, he was greeted with kindness, excellent care, and an enormous amount of attention. He ultimately joining in all of the activities and his wife and family can't thank the staff enough for giving us this time to once again enjoy and celebrate him.

I have made so many new friends here at Storypoint. Our staff is outstanding and my desserts from Chef [name removed] are my favorite. Story point is a great place to live.

This is the absolute best place to be. I can't even explain how much Story point means to me.

All of my favorite people live and work at this beautiful place. We are busy all the time, the food is amazing, and everyone is friendly.

I have lived at Storypoint for 3 years now. I have received excellent care and service, especially during our difficult time of COVID. Hats off to our wonderful staff.

It is not easy helping your parents as they age and still keep their sense of independence. The staff at Story Point made a difficult situation so much easier for everyone. They have really gone above and beyond to make sure our parents moved into a safe lovely new home. The staff is so kind and caring with our loved ones and treat them like their own family. We, myself and siblings, along with our parents can not say enough about this organization. Thank you for all you have done to make a challenging time easier for everyone.

The moment I walked in the door, I knew this would be my mom‘s new home! The building is so beautifully appointed, I just couldn’t get enough of it! There are so many common gathering areas, dining areas, and activities going on that the choice was clear almost before I saw the apartment. Inside the apartment looked absolutely brand new. Lots of closets, plenty of cupboards and nowhere else that’s assisted-living that I could find actually has sliding doors and a patio that, beyond your cemented area, is actual grass that my mom can walk right out into barefoot! That was a final selling point for me. Move your parent here, you won’t regret it.

We chose Independence Village because we liked the atmosphere, the nurse that was helping with everything, and it just seemed like it wasn't too big or too small and everyone was friendly. The apartment is big enough to put most all of her things in. The meals are chef prepared and she enjoys them. I think the head nurse goes above and beyond to try and help us with everything and the marketing person was really really good as well. We had to do this on the weekend as an emergency and she came in hours she wasn't supposed to be working and helped us a lot. The maintenance director was exceptional with trying to help us with everything we needed to move and set up. I would recommend them to others looking.

Very clean. Staff are attentive to needs and go out of their way to help in anyways. They have many activities every day. It is a wonderful place to live.

Anthology go Novi has been great so far, it is a really nice facility. The activities are full on now and there are a lot of things the residents can participate in. We would recommend this community to others.

The facility was very nice. [named removed] was great. Mom seemed impressed enough to fill out an application to lock in the rate. She wants to "wrap up" some things in AZ, but hoping to bring her back here for good in about 6 months.

I would recommend Story Point Portage to anybody. I would put them in the top 5-10 in the Kalamazoo / Portage area. They do a great job. Everyone is really nice. They handled a recent fall very well. Activities have been curtailed due to Covid, but they are offering modified options. Right now visits are allowed in a common area or separate, designated rooms. I think they're competitively priced and a pretty good value.

The staff and residence are extremely friendly and if we needed anything done maintenance is on top of it. The only issue is that there are no bars in the restroom. The grounds are very nice and they have lots of activities both done by the community and residence. I would recommend this community to others and already have.

Mom has loved this place. She enjoys the friends she has made there (including staff) and she loves her apartment. The staff is friendly, polite and always helpful. They listen to the residence for when it comes to improvements.

Our loved one enjoys the meals they serve, and we do know they offer a lot of activities. It is a beautiful facility, very nice and pretty new. We joke about going there ourselves when it comes time for that, and we would definitely recommend StoryPoint to other families.
