With each visit to my mother’s room, I am greeted with a big smile…this tells me she is happy & being well-taken care of. I think it is amazing how much the staff interacts with the residents via daily/hourly activities that exercise them not only physically, but mentally. The staff takes time to stop, say hello & call the residents by name; this small gesture brings such happiness to their world. I guess I can safely say that Hathaway Hills is my mom’s home away from home & I know she is getting the best care possible. It’s such a struggle to watch a loved one fade day to day, but there is peace in knowing that she is in good hands.

I chose to move here because of how welcoming this community feels. I feel at home here and enjoy the Independence that it provides me.

The food is good, housekeeping is great, maintenance is very helpful. The staff is very caring and loving. {name removed} is great and helpful.

The people who live and work here are so friendly and kind and quite friendly to all residents who live and stay here.

Enjoy waking up each morning knowing. I am being taken care of by a wonderful staff, from food, administration, housekeeping.

I like the fact that everyone here is super friendly. I've been here a year and haven't met anyone I haven't liked. I love the food, the way it is served w/ a smile and the girls at the desk are ordinary-I think [name removed} is doing a fantastic job.

I love that I was able to bring my 2 cats with me to StoryPoint. I really enjoy it when the therapy dogs visit as well. The food and atmosphere here is very enjoyable and every staff is very helpful.

My ambulatory and pleasantly forgetful Mother has been at StoryPoint for two years. It has been a journey for Mom to embrace "institutionalized" living. She was verbal in her disapproval to embrace her new lifestyle. After two years of constant attendance from the staff and nurses, Mom talks appreciatively saying, "they take good care of me and everyone is always nice to me". She may not recall names, but Mom is now ready to sincerely offer her gratitude for all those caring for her. I have great confidence in the StoryPoint management, administration, and all care givers. Mom has her personal hygiene needs met, her apartment is routinely cleaned, her laundry has been serviced. As Mom progresses in her aging process, I have been able to request more assistance for her needs. I am pleased with choosing StoryPoint as it is not just an "institution" for my Mom, but a community of caregivers that bring quality living to the residents that now call this place their home.

I've lived at StoryPoint Powell North for a short while and would like to say the staff here are kind, supportive and sweet. I really enjoy living here even though I was hesitant to leave my home.

During our brief stay, they were very warm and very friendly. They worked with us beautifully for what we needed. They had good communication. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

My mother decided to move from her own home in May 2021 due to mild cognitive memory loss. This loss impacted her ability to accurately take medication, prepare and eat meals and she was a widow as my dad passed in October 2018. She moved into a small private senior living home which worked out well, however she needed more living space and opportunity to engage in activities with more seniors. Springvale was recommended by my daughter in laws family and we visited. Staff provided us several tours and answered all of our questions and concerns. Mom moved in at the end of November and we are all settling in quite nicely. Her room is spacious and the entire residence is beautifully decorated and inviting. One gains of sense of calmness and comfort when you walk in. Mom mom is happy and enjoying her new home. The staff are all very busy and very welcoming. They treat the residents and guests with a smile and positive demeanor. I would definitely recommend!

Springvale is a wonderful place for seniors. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your loved ones needs. Even though times right now are a bit difficult and staff may be short some days my loved one there is cared for and happy. Highly recommended.

I love living here. My apartments is roomy and comfortable. The people who are here and the staff are all friendly. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. Amenities and transportation included in package to MD'S shopping, scenic drive on Sundays; Forest Preserves for the walking group, church and more. Good food! Housekeeping once a week; beauty salon and exercise room. Activities for everyone. My home.

We're very pleased with them and have recommended them to others. They're very accommodating. We feel like we're at home. We can approach the staff and ask them for any needs that we may have. If my dad is there visiting my mom at dinner time, they'll bring him a meal as well so they can eat dinner together. We've had some issues with plumbing in one of her rooms, and they took care of it and moved her to another room. They've been great. They communicate and keep in touch with us. I'm able to text some of the staff if we have issues that need attention, and they're right on it.

My wife and I decided to move my mom to Story Point Assisted Living in June of 2021. We chose Story Point because it was much more patient centered. The staff really cares about my mother. From the receptionist, to the nursing staff, to the maintenance staff, to the administrators they know who my mother is and act promptly to meet her daily needs. They design daily activities that encourage participation and cognitive stimulation. Mom is very happy about the menu choices that are offered at meal times. There are weekly bus trips, shopping excursions and even sightseeing tours. There’s a weekly movie night in a real movie theater- complete with popcorn! Mom enjoys making her own hairdresser appointments and she really likes the weekly opportunities to attend religious services. Story Point has been a wonderful experience for my mom. She has her sense of humor back and she is enjoying her life again. The patients’ needs come first in this facility and I am thankful for that everyday!

I am very impressed with the excellent care my mother is receiving at Gaslight. All the staff seems to be very kind and helpful. I really love all the activities that they have with the community members. It always seem so peaceful when I visit mom. I would highly recommend Gaslight assisted living.

We were so impressed with everyone who has helped us - they answered our questions, gave us good suggestions and were so helpful. And, they are still great! Move in was easy, the staff is friendly and the bus driver is fantastic!
