Caring for a parents with Alzheimer's disease or dementia is a very difficult and challenging situation. StoryPoint made the best out of it. Difficult behavioral issues were always met with patience and wisdom. The staff were constantly developing new and creative activities to engage the residents. We were kept well informed about all activities and invited to participate in many group events which included the residents and families. We got an email every day with pictures of the memory-care residents participating in the various activities of the day - that was really helpful and appreciated. The staff was well equipped to handle all levels of care, from early-stage to later stages of dementia. The nursing staff was on top of things and was able to make helpful recommendations and accommodations as the disease progressed. The facility itself was outstanding. The atmosphere was always clean and bright and promoted good morale for the resident group. There is a nice little outside courtyard where the memory-care residents can sit and enjoy the day and/or visit with family. The monthly cost was very reasonable. Having done some shopping, I would say that it was on the lower end of what you might expect to pay for memory-care accommodations. Overall, StoryPoint provided an outstanding value.
