Spring Oak Senior Living

We liked it. The rooms were larger, and very bright. It was one of the top two. We thought we might have ended up in the memory care, and she wasn't quite ready for that. It was a beautiful place, and a close call, it was a tough choice. They also only had one bedrooms in memory care, and that would have been bigger than we wanted.

My overall experience has been good. The administration staff is very nice and very helpful. The aids have gone above and beyond at taking care of my mom. The meals are good. The only issue is the miscommunication that we had between the nursing staff about getting some medications that were discontinued. Other than that, it's been good. We haven't had any other issues or complaints. It has been going well.

The staff was very receptive and approachable. I have never had any problems when trying to communicate or making any requests. One thing where I do feel they could improve is this: Since I am using their doctor, I would like a little more access to talk to their physician. I would like to talk to him personally to ask some questions and get his take on some things regarding my mother. Other than that everything with Ivy Ridge has been a very positive experience and I would highly recommend them. Overall it is a very good program.

My mom loves living at Ivy Ridge. It makes me feel comfortable that she's at a safe apartment environment. She's met friends and participates in their activities.

Overall I think they do a good job at Spring Oak at Toms River. The facility itself is generally well kept and clean, and the staff have all been friendly and helpful. However, I do think they could improve their wellness center and transportation service. More than once I have scheduled a ride for my loved one to an appointment, but they will then inform me that they cannot give her a ride back, which defeats the whole purpose.

Our experience with Spring Oak was only a very brief one, our loved one had to move out after only a few days, but the experience was a good one. They really impressed us when we were touring, it is a nice looking place and seems well run. We also appreciated that they do not require a long period of private pay before Medicaid can kick in.

They're for the most part very good, she hasn't been there but a couple of weeks but things have been going fine for the most part. I'm sure there's things they could improve on but I don't know what yet. She's been going down with the group for meals and watching television, they do very well to get her out of her room and be around other people. There are a couple of ladies that she knew here from before so that helped her decide where to go.

Very nice facility, nice staff, excellent location. Only issue is cost and available funds. Still need to complete VA Benefits application. Plenty of room, nice resident's rooms, dining room, sitting rooms.

Nice facility and nice staff. Didn't like that they have a three percent increase every year no matter what the economy is.

Overall a pretty nice facility. Most of the staff is very helpful and friendly but as can be expected in this industry there is quite a bit of turnover. My mom has been there for 6 months and she has adjusted well. There are plenty of activities if you choose to participate. The rooms are nice but the AC/heat units tend to be very noisy. Most of the residents I have spoken with like Spring Oak except for the food. Most if not all complain about the food.of course you can't please everyone but it seems no one is happy about the food. In spite of the food issue, spring oak is one of the better assisted living places. The facility is clean and neat and presents a very nice appearance.

Very nice one bedroom apartment in Independent Living. Many activities and friendly staff. Enclosed courtyards are lovely.

The staff is wonderful. Food seems good. Activities good. The rooms and all over inside where my brother in law needs some updating and general cleaning and painting. Carpeting is stained in the hallway. Not a good look when you first come in. But, again, the staff is wonderful

They operate under limited staffing, so I would not recommend the place if your love one needs lots of attention. My mom is incontinent. I had to change her upon arriving to pick her up (she was receiving 13 days of respite care). I would not recommend that incontinent clients utilize the place. If you basically need a babysitter, it is probably okay. Management is great and are good listeners. Great facility if you do not have much money and your love one does not have big demands. I probably will not be using the facility again because my mom is not motivated to bath herself, ambulate, avoid snacks, etc.

I toured Noble Senior Living and was not impressed. The staff here were nice and the general manager seemed very experienced, but the facility itself was outdated and seemed dirty to me.

Very nice, for assisted living it is perfect. When you get into Memory Care part of the facility, it is just not what we would be comfortable with. Our family member is at the borderline of AL and Memory Care. Very pleasant tour.

The place nice and friendly...A clean atmosphere. ..The food needs a little up agrade However I notice the only down grade is activities..I have came to visit my love one but everyone seems depress..I tried to come on a good activity day..but I never seem anything happening 90% of the time..Its always Bingo or a little enertainment at night..Our love ones needs some life..Find a new activity person

All is well for my mother since her move to this community. They are taking great care of her, and her needs. The staff is wonderful. The community looks great. Everything is working out very well.

My mother is still adjusting to this community, but I know she is safe. The staff is great.

The staff is doing okay I guess. We do not like the food so we eat what we have. We do like that they do provide transportation for the residents to go to the doctors appointments. The community is clean, but I feel they could do a better job.

Not a bad place. Just some staf likes to degrade you. Very unprofessional.
