Moved our Mom to Spring Oak from an assisted living in Ocean Grove for a bigger living space. So not worth it!!! Very disappointed! Big sales pitch to get you in! My mom is currently in memory care, second level which I may add is an extra $1200.00 a month. She does not get showered, her room is filthy more often than not! They do no activities, no crafts from what is observed! I guess the trade off for a bigger room was a huge mistake!!! Often the staff is outside smoking, its fine but when residents need attention no one is around! What's sad is my mom is a very socialable woman and we feel she is not getting the activities she should. It is beyond me why she is in second level to begin with. Are they desperate for the extra money!? I would think second level memory care and for the extra money they would be a little more attentive!

I encourage anyone considering this facility to make an unannounced to campus. You will likely find staff members playing on their phones, yelling at residents, and/or missing all together. The lobby has been updated. The “back of the house” is filthy and unkept. I would never send a loved one here.

You will never get anyone from management or nursing on the phone and they do not return phone calls. They largely ignore residents concerns and requests. Very unfriendly staff and they are just there to do there time with the minimum amount of work.

I am very disappointed with this community. They did a terrible job with my loved one that stayed there for 1 day. They did not have anything in my loved ones room that was supposed to be. When i walked in I did not see any staff. I was unable to find staff until at least 30 minutes later. The staff also did not feed my loved one all day. I would not recommend this community to anyone.

My grandfather is a resident. The care is minimal, he was in the same clothes for 3 days. He claimed he wasn't feeling good but no one knew anything. My wife is an RN and questions the knowledge of the head RN. It shouldn't be called assisted living because they don't like assisting, it should be called 65 and older apartments. If your parent has needs, not the place. They claim they do a lot of activities but when I visit the residents are never doing anything. Not worth the money, they have a lot of Medicaid residents so if you are Medicaid, it's an ok place. Don't use spend down money here.

The place is a dump! Converted conference hotel converted into a Assisted Living Facility. No thought behind the planning. Loud heaters, REALLY bad food, so unorganized. A SNAKE PIT! My dog is too good to be in this facility.
