Spring Hills

Been here almost a month! Staff is friendly, and I have already made friends with a group of ladies. Activities are good and again staff is wonderful.

So far, so good. Their food, from what I've seen, leaves something to be desired. I have addressed any concerns and issues that have come up, with them, and they have really responded, and taken it to the next level. In the beginning it takes some time to set up personal expectations for communication. It seems to up to the family in how much or little they want to be involved.

My dad is there and seems happy, he does like the food and the staff which is great for me since i am the single care giver and work in the city. I have one concern and it is in regard to a review that I did not get a chance to completely review , I think there were some negative tone to it. I started to read the review and when I went back to it it was gone. The main topic of the review is when the senior's money runs out the can continue to stay there using medicare/medicaid. That is one reason why spring hills was on my top list. i was assured that this would not be an issue. According to the review that I was able to read this is not the case, and this disturbs me. Spring Hills is a little higher than most places and i was led to believe that this ws the reason why. I will say it was not the only reason, i was pleased with what I saw.

It is a really nice place to live here. The staff is very considerate and knows what their doing. They arent rude when you ask them questions when trying to get information on your loved one.

The tour went very well. Beth gave me some very helpful information that will help me deciede the "next step."

ADDITIONALLY, WHEN I ACCOMPANY MY FATHER TO HIS DOCTOR'S, SHCH STAFF HAVE HIM DRESSED AND READY TO GO. THIS IS IMPORTANT TO ME SINCE I LIVE OVER 60 MINUTES FROM THE CHERRY HILL FACILITY. FINALLY, THEY KEEP ACCURATE RECORDS OF ALL HIS MEDS AND WHO THE ADMINISTERING PERSON WAS.

Friendly and inviting. The staff is great. They are encouraging and readily match up a new tenant with an individual they feel may have some similarities so the individual feels readily accepted. I have high hopes for this place and refer to it as my new house.

Overall I thought things went well with Spring Hills Mount Vernon. The staff here were all very friendly, and they seemed to take very good care of the people who live here. One of the nurses in particular, Henrietta, was extremely helpful and communicative throughout our whole experience. The price is also very affordable, for the amount of care that they provide. However, they could do a better job when it comes to cleanliness, Mom's room was never very clean when we visited.

Very clean - always nice smell - been there 2 years - had nurse issues for a few months. Better now. Front door is NOT powered for residents and is very difficult to take resident out in wheel chair. No shelter and small ramp for loading resident. Reg. size door large items will not fit thru. them. Had to buy items to fit thru. small door.

Spring Hills at Somerset is a very nice and clean facility with very nice and cooperative staff. I do think there should be a little bit more nudging to help the residents get involved in the activities. I also do think that if a resident is coming from another facility, they should get together with the people from the other facility to ask some questions to get to know some specifics about the residents needs and such. On the whole I think it is a great place. My mother in law is very happy there. So far so good.

I was thrilled to find Spring Hills Mt. Vernon when looking for a safe place for my mom who has dementia/alzheimers. The people are wonderful and I am living out of state, so really had to place my trust in them in order to leave my mom there. She is safe which is the biggest concern for me and has a lovely apt. Mom has gained weight and looks so much healthier now that she is eating correctly and staying active. The staff keep me informed and are always eager to talk when I call with questions or concerns. I would give it 5 stars except for the fact that there has been a large turn over in management and nursing staff since mom has been there (17 months) and I would prefer more consistency there as well as some of the nursing staff are hard to understand due to English not being their first language. I would highly recommend this facility, it's expensive, but my peace of mind is much better because I know mom is safe.

We checked out several assisted living facilities and found Spring Hills Hunters Creek to be the best match for my mom. She will be moving in this month.We are very impressed with the restaurant like approach to dining for the residents. Most places only had 2 entree choices, while the menu here that changes weekly, has over 15 made to order entree choices. It is more like going to a restaurant than a school cafeteria. The staff longevity is impressive! Everyone is very friendly and helpful, starting at reception as you enter the front door.A special thank you and recognition to Teri [Removed], Community Relations Counselor, who answered all of our many questions.We would also like to thank Karen [Removed], the Executive Director, for making herself available for any issues and the maintenance/engineering staff for helping make my mom's new place a home.

My loved one has been at the Spring Hills Somerset Memory Care Unit for about eight months. My loved one is in the middle stages Alzheimer's and receives good care at the facility. My loved one is still very verbal and enjoys much conversation and activities and has many friends at the memory care unit. He enjoys weekly travel to local activity programming in the community. We have had a few problems related to care assessment and other resident interactions. However, I call and/or speak to the staff directly when visiting and fully describing the problem and usually immediately or within a few days the problem has been addressed and resolved and/or corrective procedures in place to minimize future problem of the same nature. The staff has been most helpful and eager to resolve any problems.

My experience with Spring Hills Middletown was pretty good. While my dad was there, they took good care of him. I did however, have done issues with administrative staff. I felt a high pressure in and out. Besides that concert, overall I was pleased.

Things have gone well so far with Spring Hills of Cherry Hill! It's a nice looking facility, they keep it very clean, and the staff are all very friendly. They do a good job communicating with families and have been very accommodating regarding facilitating any of my loved one's specific needs.

It's a nice place. It's a little expensive though. They were supposed to help us move out, and the company they hired didn't help pack. They also were only helping for a couple of hours and it turned into a huge fiasco. It was a nice place, but then it just got too expensive.

The staff was very friendly, and for the right resident, I think that they would be very good. I feel like the assessment we had was a little optimistic. We assumed they would check on them a little more than they did. If your loved needs to be watched kind of close, or may fall this might not be enough attention. I think we were in between levels, and I just thought that they would have been able to spot that in the assessment better than I would. Great staff but just a wrong fit for us.

They’re all so expensive. It’s beautiful incredibly clean. The nurses are wonderful, however the doctor only comes twice a month. Besides that you have to go century care. The communication is the largest issue with the administration. The aides and nurses are wonderful, just simply wonderful. It’s absolutely spotless – they keep it so clean. Communication with the administration can be a bit of a challenge though.
