Spring Hills

This is a very clean community staff are very friendly and helpful. However, this community is expensive. They have activities like painting, bingo and different things everyday for the residents to do to keep busy.

There have been several changes in management, administrators, as well as caregivers. The communication with the staff to the family could be improved. It would be helpful to know who to talk to about questions or concerns, especially if staff changes.

Spring Hills of Lake Mary was a very nice facility and it seemed like they had a lot to offer. The reasons we did not choose them was because the location was too far, I read a couple of negative reviews, and I saw that if you do not go to eat in the cafeteria at a certain time you get charged extra. With my loved one having memory issues, this was a problem.

You're going to get what you ask for here. The staff is very diligent in doing their job, in getting my loved one up for the day, administering her medications, all of those things. The nurses keep up with her every day. She is well cared for and not left alone. They also keep the facility very nice and clean. My loved tells me they have activities during the day but not as much during the evening.

We would recommend this community to others

This is a new community. They don't give families a lot of great communication. The staff will let you know that your loved one will have tests done, but no one follows up with the results. I seldom get calls from the nurses.

My grandmother moved into Spring Hills a month before the CoVid19 shut down in March. She is 95 years old but still has her wits about her. The staff at Spring Hills has done their best to make the residents feel supported, even loved, when they have been so distant from their families. We are thankful. It’s hard to comment on the activities and such as she did not have time to experience many before residents had to practice social distancing. The nursing staff is very reliable and intuitive. One of her nurses has a great way with my gram, helping her understand and accept any medical changes that might be going on.

I was particularly impressed with how this facility kept their residents safe during the recent covid-19 pandemic. Some facilities in my state had outbreaks and some residents died. Not only did SHHC keep the residents safe, they kept communication open with the families by holding weekly status called and set up ways for us to Skype with our loved ones when we could not visit.

Spring Hills has many king employees that have taken care of both of my parents during the most difficult time of their lives. The only concern that I have is I think they could use more staff members as the job they do is difficult and demanding.

Staff is friendly and courteous. We just wish there were more people taking care of the residents. Place is very clean. There are a wide range of activities for residents that mom loves- especially the pets and music!! In these times it's good to know that mom is safe.

Hello it was a very difficult to decide where I wanted my dear mother to live after she left my home. Very difficult ties in he past 6 months due to covid. I am grateful for the relationship I have with [name removed] (the director). She always made me feel at ease that my mom will be taken care of. Previously I visit at least one or two times weekly; and I am my mom's caregiver.

We chose this community because the staff members, the openness of the facility, as well as the price and location to travel to. The room sizes here are great. The food here is also great, they have a lot of variety. My favorite part about the community has been the activities they provide and the interaction between the staff and residents. I really like during the holidays or season changes they have decorations throughout the facility. I would and have recommended Spring Hills Mount Vernon.

The staff at Spring Hills community is very friendly, it has a warm feeling to it. The room sizes are about average. The food is pretty good. One thing we really liked about this community was the family atmosphere, however the response time could be improved.

We chose Spring Hills Somerset because the size of the community, it is smaller. The room sizes are average compared to the other places we looked. Pre- COVID when we ate here, the food was good, they have a lot of variety. My favorite part about this community would be the staff members. Everyone knows my mother by name. I would certainly recommend this facility.

Driveway needs to be paved so I can walk my walker. Fancy desserts and delicious soups are always prepared by the new chef. The staff is very good. [Nam removed] the nurse is fantastic.

Interesting, the facility is a carbon copy of [removed].. staff very nice, and the facility was clean and beautiful..again for what I was looking for, the rooms were too small, but that seems to be the norm

My sister in-law and brother in-law are there, they seem to be pretty happy there, l find in a wonderful place for them, l couldn't have picked a better place. They are great to work with, all the caretakers seem to be wonderful with them. They take care of them, fit them in on all the activities. Wonderful...
