Southview has a BEAUTIFUL environment -- dining rooms, common areas, etc. They have a personalized care plan to ensure you only pay for care you need. If the resident's needs change, the care plan changes, too. The features that I like the most are: chef-prepared meals with a very extensive menu--which is handed out to each resident; apartments in a variety of sizes; cable tv; a library with computers; a theater; walking paths; elevator; enriching activities, etc. So, if this sounds like a terrific way to spend retirement, please call [name removed] at [phone number removed]. I visit senior living communities for a living so I have seen many. Some are beautiful and new, others are not so new. Some have great staff, while others do not. Las Palomas happens to be a newer, well maintained community with a wonderful staff. Each time I walk in, I am greeted, not just by the concierge, but one or more residents. The dining room is always full and noisy. Noisy dining rooms means engaged residents. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to this community!

It's a very modern facility and pleasant to be in. Everyone is very friendly, and most of the residents seem very happy. It's clean overall. They've had a bit of a problem with bugs, but it seems like they're getting a handle on it. The staff are very good, although it can take a little bit to get them moving sometimes. They just don't seem to have enough help. Our loved one seems to enjoy the food and is eating plenty of it. However she's diabetic, and they don't have enough diabetic friendly options or information for her. But she seems to be enjoying the activities she's participating in.

Our Mom and Aunt (twin sisters) moved to Green Oaks Independent Living after living in another Senior Community which was quite large. When they arrived here, it was a big relief to find that It was a short elevator trip and then they were right by the dining room and mailboxes. It made it so much easier for them to get out and get their meals. And they loved the snacks available at the Bistro! After a couple of years, declining health made it necessary for them to receive increased care and moved them to the Memory Care Unit. The room set-up for the twin sisters was perfect ... bedrooms right next to each other (connected by an alcove) and each had their own bathroom. But the best stand-out feature was the caring staff of the Memory Care Unit. We had a chance to see first-hand how they tried to be sure to include our Mom and Aunt in the small community and give personalized attention when their health was failing. Thank you Green Oaks ... and especially the Memory Care Staff!

Though it was emotionally challenging moving my very independent-minded mom from her home of over 20 years to Assisted Living, Liz Dinnesen and her team have done an amazing job helping us with the transition. Liz took all the time needed to answer my questions when exploring the change. She provided insights and suggestions to help us go through the process and moved with great speed to help us with the apartment. After my mom moved in, she and the Mason Assisted Living and Memory Care team engaged my mom from the start to make her feel comfortable and a valued member of the community. Very grateful and happy that we’ve been so fortunate to have such compassionate and talented team members helping us navigate through this significant life event.

I have not yet moved into my new quarters at Palmilla, but I would like to share my experience when I received a tour of the facility. I met with the Director of Community Relations. We discussed life in general at Palmilla, and she kindly furnished me with the month's menu and activities schedule. She was informative and able to answer every single question I had. I could tell from her level of enthusiasm how much she loves her job and how exciting life at Palmilla can be. When we took a tour, I was impressed with the exterior appearance of the buildings, and the gorgeous landscaping. We encountered several residents who seemed very content with their lives at Palmilla. I immediately developed an affinity for the unit I will be occupying. It is modern and impeccably clean. We then toured the common areas of Palmilla, and I was amazed at how spacious and pretty every room was. The activities offered are also mind-boggling. I know I will love it at Palmilla!

After looking at many retirement communities in the Columbus area, my daughter, Abby, found Hilliard Assistant Living for me last Fall. I was diagnosed with some health problems last year and decided that it was time for me to move closer to my daughter and her family. I moved the day after Christmas 2020, just 3 1/2 miles from my family! Since then, I have been kept busy by the staff in the Activities department, enjoying the many exercise classes as well as bus trips to grocery stores and lunches out. Kim Martin, Food and Beverage Director, asked several of us to help with the Daily Specials each week. I've always enjoyed cooking and planning meals, so this has been fun for me. I am also an avid reader and helped to organize the Library soon after moving in. I do not need assistance right now, but know I will as I grow older. Now, I am enjoying getting to know the excellent and caring staff as well as the other Residents. I highly recommend Hilliard Assisted Living.

My mother has been a resident of the memory care neighborhood for about a month and she couldn't be any happier. The gals welcomed her with open arms and she's made a couple of new best friends! The staff is truly caring and consistently keeps the entire group busy with exercises, activities and games. There is always someone nearby in case she needs assistance or has a question, as well as taking care of any issues with her accommodations. My family and I are thrilled with the care and attention she is receiving.

Upscale environment so no one feels like they are "away at a senior center". Very friendly staff always greeting residents by name. So convenient to have a beautiful theatre, exercise room and arts and crafts rooms. Activities are getting better all the time with lectures, music, crafts, even foreign language lessons! A great place for independent living, assisted living, or something in between. I am very pleased with the level of care and attention for my mother relieving me from any guilt about not being with her every day.

[name removed] was very special in Returning our phone call and getting us in for a next day tour. We are leaving with a Full Packet of information - AND have asked to be on a Waiting list for a 2 Bedroom Apt - We were very Impressed.

I have lived at another local Independent Living and have visited others. Crestview Senior Living is the best that I’ve been to by far. I have enjoyed every day that I’ve lived here. The staff is warm and courteous, they acknowledge me and are friendly. The housekeeping is excellent and the food is GREAT. I get a choice of what I want and as much as I want. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing about my lifestyle here at Crestview. They provide transportation with a lift and a 24 hour staff so I feel safe and accommodated to around the clock! I hope this is my home the rest of my life!! I couldn’t be happier.

[name removed] went above and beyond to accommodate me and my family during a stressful time. He came on his day off knowing we are on a tight time line. Jonathan's time and sensitivity are greatly appreciated. although we still have a lot of decisions to wade through to decide what will best meet my fathers needs. Jonathan represented Palos Verdes in the most positive way.

The peaceful kindness and friendliness is comforting. It does not feel like too much mind changing from relocating. Happy other residents is inspiring. The staff is compared to Disneyland for friendliness by daughter in-law!

My original thought was that i would most likely place mom in a group home. However, after meeting [name removed] the personal approach he took and how beautiful the community is, I was sure I had found the right place for my precious mother. I visited two other communities but Palos Verdes is hands down the best choice for me and mom. Thank you [name removed], you were wonderful.

Grateful to the sales director and the nurse who were very helpful, patient, knowledgeable with my needs. My husband and I had a great visit at the facility. They made our difficult situation a more relaxed and pleasant one. Thank You!

Our father really does seem to be enjoying the meals and dining service. He did not participate in the activities at his previous community, but he is doing some here so we assume they are pretty good. We think the value for cost is completely worth it.

I love it here! The staff and residents are awesome. The food is very good and we have a variety of activities and outings. Even Ella, my senior dog, loves it here! I enjoy the chair aerobics, visiting with friends out on the patio, doing the crafts and listening to the wonderful entertainers that come.. I'm very happy that I decided to move to Green Oaks and would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I have now lived at Green Oaks for three years and we could not be happier. My husband is disabled, but I am able to live in Independent Living because of the management here and support system. I continue to enjoy the many activities here because I know that if my husband needs assistance all he needs to do is press his emergency button and help is minutes away. Even though our Chef has many challenges due to the economy and staffing problems, the menu's choices are many, enjoyable and healthy! We are a big family at Green Oaks and we truly care for each other, and celebrate our golden years together. You really need to come and check us out!

I moved my parents into Green Oaks Senior Living last January so they could be closer to me and get the extra assistance they were now requiring. It was a big move for them from Pennsylvania. After being there for 9 months, I can honestly say that it feels like home. My mom does not have to worry about getting groceries, cooking for herself or cleaning her apt. She looks forward to her meals in the dining room and has met such wonderful people, staff and residents alike. She enjoys going to exercise class three times a week, meeting for rosary on Thursday mornings, getting her hair done in the salon and borrowing books from the library. When she needs to see her doctor or get a flu shot, the medical staff comes to Green Oaks which is so convenient for her. My dad was in Memory Care. The staff was always gentle and kind and treated everyone with dignity and respect. I am so happy we made the decision to move my parents there.
