Simple Pricing is a plus. Facility is older however; very well kept. Interaction between staff and residents was genuine. Residents were outgoing and friendly. I like the idea that they have a Geriatric MD on staff and in the facility 2x per week. Rooms are a tad smaller than the norm yet manageable. I like the idea of a transitional opportunity with their independent care wing. Seems like a good value.

Not sure about the location. Nice building. Room configurations a bit strange. May be a possibility. Is more formal than Copley Place.

This is the "northwoods" facility. Not sure about the decor; apartments very nice; people very nice; good interaction w/residents. Price range looks fair. 3 stars because not sure if M/D would like "N-woods" setting.

Our family had a bad experience, they were very unprofessional and they never had any control over the staff. The care givers did try their best but the staff to residents ration was completely off. They did not engage with our loved one like they had promised. Sometimes when we would come to visit they would have absolutely no idea where our loved one was at. They only thing they did for our loved one was given medication and a room to sleep in. There was no routine at all. They were over charging the account and we would just not recommend.

Initially the marketing team was outstanding, they did a great job getting us to come, but when we moved our loved one in they did a poor job of retaining us. They did not live up to our expectations. Some of our loved ones things were stolen and our of those things were some very valuable items. One major issues was communication with the staff, it was always difficult to get someone on the phone when we needed to. Before we moved our loved one out, they were placed from assisted living into memory care, but into a temporary room. It took them two weeks to get our loved one settled, and in the meantime they declined very quickly. Our loved one was not comfortable in the temporary room, so he would sleep in the dining hall sometimes. Also the activities were not stimulating enough. However the care takers on the memory care side were very kind, and would take our phone calls for our loved one since they were not allowed to have phones themselves.

Our family was able to do an in person tour, there were still some restrictions and we did have to wear masks. The reason we gave a 2.5 is because they knew we were coming, but they did not seem prepared. The lady who was doing the tour with us, did not know what rooms were available, what the cost of the rooms were, so we left feeling very underwhelmed.

If you have a family member living here, just be careful. I was stupid and trusting that all the caregivers are honest. There are some very wonderful caregivers there, but there is a thief in the midst just waiting for her next victim. She will befriend you, and stab you when your back is turned. A lot of my mom’s jewelry was stolen by this person, there were signs. Obviously, no conscience to do this to a sweet old lady. My mom is gone now and her favorite jewelry gone, sentimental value and means nothing to the thief.

The lady who helped me at A Place for Mom was very helpful steered me in a good direction would highly recommend having A Place for Mom help you in your search

The dining experience is so unpleasant...waitresses and cooks quit after a month or so of working here and the food is really not good, not very healthy, and repetitious. They placed Superior Home Care in an apartment right across the hall from us and Waterford is taking in more and more folks needing help, in wheel chairs and with dementia...feeling more and more like assisted living or a nursing home. And the carpets have stains on them, and over all not very clean.. We hope to move in the near future... we have met some very nice and kind residents...the one bright spot here...

We moved Mom here a few months ago for assisted living. We did not know at the time they were heading for big transition for staff and management. Be cautious before moving your loved one here. In just a few months, they have had two new executive directors and are on the third director of nursing. They are trying to improve and are implementing changes, but right now communication and follow through is lacking. Mom was having issues getting the daily tidying done consistently. Initially this was because the assisted living paperwork had not been fully processed (because mom's assessment happened on the nurse's last day working there), so staff thought she was independent instead of assisted. When issues occurred recently, we found out there is no schedule or assignment for the aides to service the rooms. I was told they have five aides to work 100+ rooms, and everyone works the whole list. With no accountability or oversight, things get missed. To be fair, the new director is trying, and she seems like a smart and capable person. There is just so many things to fix that it will take a while for things to run smoothly. Food is pretty good, and the apartments are larger than most assisted living. They have a wide variety of activities available to choose from. The residents are very welcoming and friendly.

The facility is decorated beautifully giving a very comfy feel as you enter. It is clean, food is good, offering a variety of options. The staff they have is dedicated and friendly. The problem is there is not enough staff. One nurse and a CNA for each 63 residents in Assisted Living. If you are a level 1 resident, you would probably do well here, but level 2 and 3 do not get the services you pay for with any regularity. Call lights are not answered in a reasonable timely manner. My loved one fell and it took over an hour before anyone came. When the nurse arrived, she said she was doing the best she could, she was the only one there. We found this to be unacceptable. We were there for 9 days before a bath was given and only then because we insisted since we were paying for two a week. The billing department and the maintenance staff were excellent to work with. I would recommend this facility if you require minimal care, but if you are level 2 or 3, Recommend you look elsewhere. Also, we were told the activity department was really good, but no one ever encouraged our love one to participate. We would like to give Kudoes to two night nurses who were more attentive, [name removed] and [name removed]

We did not feel comfortable about moving our father-in-law here, it was not as nice as some of the other communities we had toured and after talking with others we had some concerns about the staff and the care long with the accounting office.

My mother has been at Waterford for quite a few years, the staff are the most dedicated and caring people.I call them Angels for what they have to deal with everyday.The home is beautiful. But I feel Waterford is more concerned about the look of the home to impress families that tour the house, than the care of its Residents. I visit my Mother 3 to 4 times a week, plus my sisters visit, I cannot count the times that there is only one person on the floor, to do meds. get people dressed, help them to the toilet, get them out for meals I have seen so many good aids leave,because it is overwhelming , and Underpaid. To do that all. They need more Help. The residents are not getting the proper care, it is more a case of [Removed]. My heart breaks for those who don't have family members to have a voice for them

We toured this community and it did not have the feeling that we were looking for. The price was not what we could do at that time. It was not the feeling we were looking for. It was nice and we liked the staff. Families should check out this community for family members

We've been having a lot of problems with the evening staff. The day crew is wonderful and some of the ladies even come into my father's room and talk to him. Our concern with the night crew is we had it set up for them to remind my father to take his medication. They agreed on this from the beginning. He needs help with his nebulizer and inhaler. They have consistently forgotten to remind him to take his medicine. They've even forgotten to get him for meal time.Our family is there everyday and we continually have problems when the night staff comes in. Members of the crew have even lied about giving him medication and argued with our family. Some of the staff is very imitating and make us very uncomfortable. We have also had issues with the housekeeping not coming in as often as they are supposed to.They are doing better since we brought it to the directors attention. My father enjoys it here and has made a few friends. We are very pleased with how well he has adjusted and we chose this community because it is so close to us.Unfortunately, if they cannot resolve the issues with his medication we will have to move him to another community.

the building is nice, but extremely understaffed. The manager is not professional enough to speak face to face about difficult issues. my mother was kicked out of her room due to personality conflicts and had to find out about it second hand. that put a bind on family and social workers and nursing home. really disappointed in the managerial staff. the building is beautiful, but beware, you still have to do the majority of the care for your loved one.

okay, but not the best! Not enough Activities. Staff could be more caring!!
