Of all of the communities we looked at in the Columbus area, we were most pleased with this one. They made the transition from private pay to medicaid extremely smooth and easy. There are many opportunities for residents to socialize if they would like as organized by the multiple activity coordinators they have on staff. From the first time I visited, I felt that it was very homey and clean. The staff seem to truly care about the residents. As with any place, I think, you always wish that they had more people on staff, but they really seem to care and have the best interests of all the residents in mind.

Only assisted living

My loved one lived in the memory care section, and overall I was not impressed by what I saw during her stay. The cleanliness of the individual rooms was something they should have paid more attention to. Another big issue we had was things being lost or misplaced. My loved one would often end up wearing other people's clothing and having her own things end up in other peoples rooms. I also felt that the food was not up to par.

I visited here on April 8th. Very nice and very convenient to my house. No kitchen, but food options look good. No fenced patio for the dogs.

Facilty and activities are wonderful. Halls are too long and dark. Hard to tell where you are. Rooms were forgettable for the money and quite small. I was disappointed, as this was my first choice going in... Not sure about assisted living since there is no separate bedroom, which makes it seem more institutional that residential.

I only toured here, but I was not really impressed. We went to see it on a Saturday, and there was no one in charge to help me. Maybe I went on a bad day, but that does leave an impression.

Cost prohibitive. My mother lives in corporate owned sister property in Arkansas...very lovely.

We toured this location when we were looking into options for Mom. It was a nice enough looking community on the inside, although nothing that stood out in particular. However, to get in we had to walk past several residents and staff members outside the front door smoking, which was a bit of a turn off. The facility is also not located in the best area of town.

I toured this location when I was looking into living options for my loved one. I wasn't particularly impressed by what I saw here, it just felt depressing and didn't seem as clean as some of the communities I looked at. There wasn't anything particularly bad about this place, but it wouldn't have been a good fit for my loved one.

She needed more assistance than they were willing to give her, they did the evaluation in the beginning and said that they could help her. She was only there for a couple of months. The people were nice and it was clean but we had a bad experience, she was found in a non-responsive state, we felt like it was a medication dispensing issue, but we don't know for sure, we were concerned enough we didn't bring her back. The food was mediocre.

I didn't care for the Waterford. They wouldn't give me a straight answer on how long it would take them to decide if they would sedate somebody. I don't want sedation with out talking to us first. I found a place that focused more on activities instead of medication which made me more comfortable than the Waterford.

Only kitchenettes in this location. Love to cook, so not right for us at this time. Love the location though.

The Waterford is a nice place for semi-independant living. It is clean and the food is usually good. The residents are very friendly. The activity director is very good. The "assisted" aspect was misrepresented. They have an outdated pull cord system for calling for help. The pull cords are few and not easily accessible. Too much time elapses between pulling the cord and when help actually arrives. I believe they are understaffed.

I don't think any of these places are worth a damn. They're all expensive. They've got me stuck. The care is basically the same in every other place. My dad is in full memory care lock down so there aren't many activities. In my experience, everything is substandard, not just this place.

It was too rustic. It was actually kind of depressing with all the brown, raw wood. The facility seemed cramped - you got that feeling walking through the door. I think my mother would have been miserable there.

Visited this place and was pleased with the setting and staff. This would be a good choice if mom insisted on staying in the East side of Columbus.
