From what my mom saw she was not impressed with the community. The person who gave the tour stopped being open as soon as she heard mom wanting to see another facility. I noticed that the residents that we meet and saw were happy and super welcoming. I didn't see this at the other tours.

My mother move here about a month ago and we are still adjusting to assisted living.My mother has not been on medication for 2 years.She was seeing a primary doctor and since we have switched her to the doctor at the community they want to put her on medication and I do not agree with that. They could also improve their communication. I'll tell one nurse something and they will be in agreement with me but will not inform the next shift coming in and the issue will continue. I don't like a lot of people being in my mom's room and they seem to have people coming in all the time.I was told that they are required to change her sheets and empty her trash every shift. I don't believe this is necessary for someone who has family that visits as often as I do. My mother is also very independent and can clean her own sheets.They came in at 7:30 in the morning to check her blood sugar and she hadn't fully waken up, gotten showered or dressed.I understand they have to test before she eats but they could have been more considerate. My mother has finally started locking her door so they can't come in all the time. Anything that goes on with my mother medically I want to be there. I asked if they could order me a meter so I can monitor her blood sugar myself. It sat on her fridge for 5 days and I didn't know it was there. I've also had issues with the price changing. They added an additional $450 dollars for my mother's "level of care", her care hasn't changed since moving in a month ago.They could improve the food also. Sometimes for breakfast they offer things like waffles and they ask my mother is she wants them she'll say yes then she won't eat them. I've told them to listen to me and just give her cornflakes because I know she will eat them. I will say other than those issues the place is nice. Everyone loves my mother she's always dancing.

We were pleased with this community until it was taken over by a new owners. The food was good and the community is clean. They made numerous changes including with the staff. Some of the memory care residents had to leave as the new owner's said they did not have the resources to care for them properly. They changed the way you could enter into the community which caused some issues with myself as I had to walk farther to my loved ones room. The caregivers were not always quick to respond.

Since Wellington took over Keystone, the business office is awful, specifically [Removed] English. Simple requests for important documents are IGNORED. Staff turnover is becoming a problem. Otherwise it is a fine facility.

My tour of this community went well. It is a very nice facility. They recently had some work done around the community, and everything looks great. The staff was kind, and friendly. It was a good experience. Unfortunately they were not able to provide the level of caring my mother needed, but my tour was a good one.

very long hallways to central areas, dated facility although nice, nice people, caring guide, but lack of certification was a concern.

We went to the tour and we did like the community a lot. They just did not offer the type of care that we needed. They answered all of my questions and were really helpful. We got to see some of the residents out and mingling. I would recommend them.

The Jefferson is a nice apartment complex, the place is clean, I have housekeeping come to my apartment every Thursday and help me out. I will be moving out, though, because my apartment is very small. Also, the food service is very slow! I am down to eating only twice a day and skipping dinner because it's so slow. Other than that it is not a bad place.

This community has recently gotten completely new management and I was a little turned off during my tour on how they ran things. During my visit I had noticed that all the new manager was talking about was how bad the old management was and all of the wrong things they did. I did not like how much gossip was being shared to my loved one and I, that was not what we where there for. I also did not feel comfortable. It felt like they took an old building and turned it into a bunch of condos.

This is a good community and my tour went well. The staff that I met was friendly and nice. The community looked nice, everything was well maintained, and clean.

The staff was very knowledgeable during our tour and gave my loved one and I lots of useful information during our tour. I did think they needed to have some updating and renovations made on the older community. They also did not offer enough memory care that my dad would have needed at this facility.

I have had experience in rehabs and other facilities with different loved ones. None are great. This facility could be very nice. The presentation is nice but much of how any facility rates depends on its employees. When you are in an assisted living memory care facility and personal hygiene needs are consistently not met, somethings wrong with management, supervision and what the techs understanding of their jobs are. They do not seem to understand people with dementia who say no may do what they want if they just come back in 5 minutes or just do it. Definitely some educational opportunities here on what an assisted living means and on patients with dementia.

I toured this community for my mother and her needs. It was an okay tour. The decor of the community is very woodsy. From what I saw for the most part the community appeared to be well maintained. The staff was kind and friendly. This is a nice community for the right person.

I was able to take a tour and thought that this would not work for my loved one. My loved one needs more attention then they offer. I was really upset because the staff had me come to the tour and failed to inform me of that. The community was nice and clean though.

The bathrooms are not very clean the housekeeping could do a little better. Activities are offered in the community, but my loved one at the moment is not participating in them. I feel that this is a safe place for my loved one to reside in. The meals are good and healthy there are no complaints at the moment. The staff are friendly and try to do their best.

When i took a tour of this place i noticed that it was a little older. It needs to be a little updated and remodeled. I thought that the laundry room wasn't very clean. The activity room had no activities going on while i was on my tour. People met along the way like residents and staff were nice.

My tour of this community went pretty well. This is a smaller community compared to others. From what I saw the community appeared to be well maintained. The staff was nice and friendly. It was good experience, but it just wasn't the place for my mother and her needs. Very nice place overall.

It's a decent place. The apartments and grounds are very nice. One thing to note is that they are pretty hands-off with the residents. That may be good for some, not so good for others. Activities are basic, not exceptional. Most are on-site and are aimed at the lowest common denominator culturally. Driving service for appointments is available only on a first-come basis, which means it may not be available many times. The food was good when my mother moved in but took a dive downward with some financially-motivated cuts in August 2016. Now there are complaints. Overall, I am happy enough but feel we could have done better.

The community at The Waterford at Thousand Oaks was not what we were looking for. The community was kept clean and the staff were friendly. The community is more like a nursing home and is not an active community.
