I am very impressed with the community.

My mother has been here 2 years now. There have been many change but all for the good. Worker being held accountable for cares not being held accountable for cares not being completed has been a very good improvement. The activities and socialization has been good as have the meals and up keep of the facility is also very good. It would be better to have a bit more consistency with number of aids so they aren't in and out of rooms so quickly. And so cares are more consistent.

My sister was in need of an assisted living facility as she is wheelchair dependent and needed help with self care activities. I was able to ask questions via phone calls. Once we selected this facility we were able to apply and complete move-in paperwork online. She moved in about six weeks ago and has been happy with her care and the friendliness of staff.

I have been a resident for 6 1/2 years and have been very happy with Greenbriar Village. It is by far the best Assisted Living facility on the east side of Indianapolis. The facility is clean and safe. The management staff is extremely good.

Everything was great the first week, after that hard to get a shower for my dad, sheets were very dirty in his bed, we are using the doctor at the facility but no feed back even when I Ask to speaks to them. [name removed] has been great but still waiting g to hear when PT will start.

He has a big problem with the food. As well as a lot of others there. They don't listen to the complaints about the food which is awful. If you don't like cheese you're not eating most days.

The Friendliness and cleanliness are great, the food not so great. Room size is great, I got the best room.

1. Mom is very comfortable and is enjoying her time there. 2. She has never complained about the facility being unkept or dirty. 3. She says most everyone is very friendly. 4. She has mentioned the fact that if she doesn't show up to any activities she participates in, someone checks on her. 5. She has never mentioned anything with the administration. 6. She has always bragged how good the food is. 7. She is pretty independent so not sure what she participates in. She would rather read a book. 8. I believe we are getting great value for our money. She is happy to be there. I am happy she is in a place I do not have to worry so much about her. Thank you all!

About four or five months after my mother moved there they hired a manager specifically for the memory care unit and it was nice to have a single person point of contact to discuss my mother's Care in any issues a couple months ago she quit and they haven't hired a new person yet so my only complaint is that they don't currently have a manager specifically for the memory care unit And I miss having that single person point of contact to focus specifically on the memory care unit

The reason why I say 2 for quality of care is that they are NOT assisted living as I was told before moving my mother there. They are independent living with meals provided. They will not help or assist with other parts of daily life at all. Staff is all very nice except for the Executive Director who has been rude to me in the past. The apartment that my mother has is plenty big for her.

[name removed] felt the food was very good and liked the choices on the menu. She enjoyed the activities. The employees were very kind to her.

Most of the staff will go out of their way to assist you. The 2 bedroom apartment is generous - they actually used the smaller bedroom as their bedroom and used the "master" as a family room - guest bedroom.

The Activities director was really great. Marquis Place is a nice facility but it lacks a home feeling. My final thought is that memory care facilities are wonderful places for people who need it. It definitely was a place that my mom thrived until her last days. We need to lose the negative stigma and we need to make it more affordable.

Hallway always smelled of urine. The biggest issue was being continuously understaffed and high staff turnover. However, what we like about the community is location, courtyard, good control of medications, onsite PT (when it was staffed), mostly friendly staff, onsite hairdresser. Could improve: food!, cleanliness especially carpeted areas, bathrooms in residents rooms were NOT ADA compliant much less wheelchair accessible, should have access to ice after 8pm. Control of medications was in some ways too strict. They wouldn't provide OTC items e.g. Tylenol, laxatives, etc. Without a doctor's script. Maybe that's state regulation

The fire alarm has gone off several times at odd hours for a few days and the power went out in part of the building. The staff is friendly and helpful, our frustration it is advertised as a smoke free facility however there has been cigarette smoke coming into the unit several times from a neighbor, staff stated it would cost us a transfer fee to move to another unit. Recently the soup at dinner is served buffet style, residents walk to serve themselves and bring it back to their table which made it more difficult for those with mobility concern

Have to get used to being around people.

The staff seem to do a lot of interacting with the residents. There are a lot of activities that are geared toward remembering occurrences from past years. The thing that needing improvement would be assuring laundry is placed back in the appropriate rooms, especially when all items are labeled with the resident's name.

The staff is helpful. The cleaning person does a great job on my dad's apartment each week. We are so thankful for this service. The dining room is neat, clean, and a very pleasant space in which to dine. Dad really enjoys the food! [name removed], the activities coordinator, interacts nicely with the residents, and provides a good variety of activities in which to participate. Dad really enjoys exercise classes, Euchre, and the musical guests.

Price and cleanliness stuck out. Great atmosphere and experienced staff. Works well with each person
