If I could give the ratings for this community higher than 5's, it would all be 10's

This is a brand new community, it was built in 2019. They have studio rooms, small and large one bedrooms and two bedrooms. They even have bedrooms with balconies. This is independent living, and they take care of your every need here, it is absolutely excellent.

Treat Residents Like Family.

We really do love it. This community is pricey, but I haven't had to worry at all. During the pandemic they have been very responsive. The community is communicating with families, following rules, and guidelines. Due to the Edgeworth being locally owned, it makes it feel warm and like a home. Dealing with any issues, there is no red tape and this makes it easy to communicate concerns and deal with issues.

Nothing but good things say

We chose Edgeworth Park at New Town because they were able to provide services to my mother who is immobile and we liked the location. My mom is in a single room, she has space for a large sofa, a table and chair, a recliner, a private bathroom and it is plenty spacious. The food here is very good, the times I was here before COVID I really enjoyed it. In memory care they have a couple of choices, in assisted living they have more options on the menu. I would want people to know when looking into this community that it is a very homey atmosphere. There is a wonderful sense of community because not only do you only have your own room with your personal belongings, but out in the general room, they have a dining area, a piano, a secure courtyard, as well as an arts and crafts room. They provide so many activities for residents to choose from and families felt very free to come and go anytime before quarantine. I would recommend this community.

Great experience

I just received a virtual tour on Facebook from Daylesford Crossing. Seeing the community again brought back such nice memories. My dad lived there for just over 18 months before he passed. I always intended to write a review to them, but never seemed to have the time. Now that I am quarantined at home, I seem to have nothing but time. Daylesford was like a life saver for us. My dad was not easy. He had dementia. He lived at another facility prior to Daylesford who asked us to leave because they couldnt manage him. Daylesford was great right from the start. They took the time to learn about dad and helped him through the adjustment period of getting used to a new place. The staff was extremely patient with him and seemed to not be bothered by things that the other facility struggled with. They got him involved with a group of men that he really liked. He took part in activities there that I never thought he would. I have peace knowing that my dad died happy. he enjoyed his life at Daylesford. He did not enjoy the other place at all. I thought it was just his condition that made him unhappy. Once we moved him, I saw that it was possible for him to be happy again. I give Daylesford all the credit for that. Its amazing to me how different the facilities were for right around the same cost.

Such a great place for my mother

My mother who passed away a few months ago, lived at Daylesford Crossing for three years. It was such a positive experience for her and for our whole family/. We are so grateful for all the friendships she made there with the other residents and with the people who work there. caregivers, waitresses and housekeepers, managers, every one was so wonderful to her. Before she moved in, she was spending most of her time at home in front of the television and she wasn't staying in touch with friends (many of them have died). Within a few weeks, she made new friends and they became very close. Towards the end of her life, she needed more care and they were very attentive. I'd recommend Daylesford Crossing to anyone. I miss visiting.

New Community with Everything You Need

My mom moved here shortly after they opened and LOVES it! She talks about it all the time when I call her to check in and seems to be really settling in. The food is top notch and one of the reasons I was happy she liked the community. A new community like this will have some growing pains but the staff communicates to residents and families if there are problems and sets expectations well. Now if I could just get my in-laws to be as proactive thinking as my Mom and move here!

Great Option for Senior Care

We moved my mom to Daylesford from another local Senior Care facility. Daylesford has vitality, a fresh and beautiful facility and caring staff. The activities director - [Removed] - is incredible. She proactively reaches out to the residents to ensure that they are participating and feel included. Daylesford isn't cheap but it is a good value.

Have friends who really like it there.

I know people who live at Plush Mills and they've been very satisfied with their experience there. One of them for a several years and one who moved in last year. They've especially liked the staff, the food, and their neighbors. They've made really good friends there and said the people who work there go out of their way for you.

Overall nice community

The staff is very friendly and welcomed my parents. The facility is beautifully furnished and so clean being it's only 2 years old. Shortly after the move-in the management company changed, and although the staff is exceptional and eased residents into changes, they lost the chef, a few of the wait staff resulting in not the same positive experience.

My mom’s been here - asst. living - about 2 years

I’d give 4+ stars if possible. Overall, it seems like my mom’s happy. I used to oversee a senior apt. Complex. The state regulations are pretty detailed and I get the impression that the facility follows them to the best of their ability. Important stuff-medication administration,, help with dressing, showers, safety is excellent. The facility is always clean as is my mom’s place. Hurray! My mom uses the car service for doc appts and it works smoothly. The staff has always been so helpful and kind, with very few exceptions. There’s been turn over when the facility switches ownership. Management and the person who is the ‘all around helper outer’ have been amazing when needed. Reception staff are wonderful and make us smile.

Wonderful Facility but issues with missing laundry

The reason it is not all fives is because they lost several articles of my mom's clothing and her bedding. We were never informed that this is a major issue and I confirmed this in speaking with other residents. One day my mom's laundry and laundry basket were located on a different floor in the facility. Anyone that moves into Echo Lake should be advised that they should label all of their clothing. We were not informed of any of this. It would've been helpful had we known.

My family's experience at Daylesford Crossing with a high acuity resident.

My dad was on the edge of needing a nursing home (vs high acuity assisted living). Daylesford assured me they would be able to meet his needs. Staff was usually willing to help with anything he asked, but were not necessarily observant in seeing what he needed. Night shift was not his favorite- variety of reasons. End of life hospice would have not been comfortable for him if I hadn't intervened (which in fairness, was recommended by a staff member). My background is as an ICU nurse, so my expectations were high, and I could recognize the gaps in care and work to fill them. I don't think his stay would have been as good without someone to do that. I worried for residents who were alone. I do think my dad was happier there than he would have been in a nursing home. And I'm not really sure his care would have been better in that setting. I wish I could have continued to keep him at my house.

Peace of Mind-- recommend!

care was difficult in the beginning. Just have to stay after them to do what they say! they change a bit. But are currently stable! The people who give direct care are great. In the beginning with the admin staff ( nursing, doctors and Empowerment -the OT PT providers) you will need to schedule a weekly or biweekly team meeting. We did these online. It was necessary to hear what was going on and point out details that they may not know regarding how to work with our family member.
