Sodalis Elder Living

Sodalis is clean, serves a variety of hot meals and the staff is very friendly. The activities director has gotten my mom to join in some of the activities which is something new for her. She is not a social butterfly.

I have been a resident for Almost 3 yrs. There is no other place I would rather be the staff has always been respectful & a joy to be around. We do miss the young high school students that worked here. The food has from 50 -100 in excellence

The staff here is wonderful and the new chef is creative with good food. Their cottages in the back are and one and two room bedrooms. The Rooms in the Main Building our different. Some with balconies some not. there are one in two bedroom available there too. You will enjoy not paying bills because they are included as well as all meals each day and Spectrum TV. There is an Internet, but it does not reach the cottages.

The best thing about Sodalis is the people. They really care. They really worked with my mom as she declined and worked well with outside support when we needed even more help. They were very sweet with family members who came and went quite often. When hospice came in, they were very accommodating. They offered the activities room to our family during her last weekend with us on earth. The staff came in one by one, and said their goodbyes the night before she died. There was a lot of heart in that place and they were very sweet to our entire family!

Initial services outlined last year have been reduced or eliminated and the monthly fee has been increased by 9%. Dining service was advertised as "table service", that is now available ONLY tp wheelchair bound residents ... remainder wait in a buffet line to order meals. Laundry is DIY with limited number of w/devices available per floor. In case only 1 washer and 1 dryer are available for 25 plus apartments. Maintenance of common area lighting is lacking. FIRE DOOR system maintenance on 3rd floor was ignored for 2 months, wedges were used by staff to keep doors open.

We're no longer in the community. My FIL passed away in February. We liked the piano/library room, spacious rooms, and the flexibility of bus runs to doctor appointments Based on the experience we did have, we would recommend this community to other families.

Sodalis is an old building, but they do well keeping it up. I have watched the cleaning process when people move out, and have been pleased with the process, as well as the daily cleaning. The staff members who work with the residents are exceptional.

My loved one is currently a resident at Arlington Plaza and the overall experience has been good for her so far. My loved one is happy there. Her studio is the perfect size for her and the bathroom is huge and accommodating. She loves her patio, too! My initial tour and resident guidance was with [name removed] and he was a tremendous help!

Overall we have been happy with the facility. The staff have been mostly friendly and nice. There has been quite a bit of turnover in the management, though.

I am incredibly thankful for the staff there. I was not able to be with my dad but, through what he told me, I was able to trust the right people were there to help him.

Everyone nice. Recently completely remodeled so clean and fresh. Amenities a little below some others but totally reasonable for the price. Very good place for the money.

My loved one was previously a resident at Sodalis Martinez. I would only recommend this facility for Assisted Living, but not for Memory Care. The Memory Care Unit does not have qualified staff. Also, the monthly cost recently went up. We could not afford it.

For the most part, everyone is very friendly and helpful and considerate. I do think that they need to have more variety and more common types of food. Trying to hard to make "fancy" foods and it wasn't working also making foods that kid's would eat. Saw a lot of food left on plates that the residents were not eating. It was a major complaint of my mother's.

At this time there are no complaints, everything has been very good.

With a short amount of time for experience. Overall the tour was good. My dad enjoyed the food and the workers. Getting him situated was easy.

The overall atmosphere is improving, new carpet in lobby etc. The activity calendar is full of activities that no one shows up for. Especially the staff. They removed the TV's so no movies etc. They are planning on turning the library into an exercise room. The food is excellent and plentiful. But they are short on staff. Especially on the weekends. They used to serve you at your table. Now they make you wait in a line to get your plate. It's nice that they have a maid clean your room once a week. With the construction going on the hallways and stairs can get quite dirty.

The staff is very helpful. They go out it if their way to please. All you have to do is ask. I would highly recommend Sodalis Victoria for those looking for assisted living!

Everyone is so friendly. Everything is so convenient there in bldg. Free cable and no utilities. The Bentley has a wonderful staff and get repairs and maintenance problems fixed in a timely manner.

Staff is very friendly, helpful, and hardworking. The move-in and move-out process was easy. I would recommend this facility.
