My mother recently moved into Azalea Estates Assisted Living in Gonzales. She is happy living there and enjoys all the many activities. She says that everyone is so nice and helps her whenever she needs help. I have found that all the staff seem to care about the residents there. They are kind and patient and do their best to meet the needs of the residents. I could not be more pleased than I am with Azalea Estates.

This was by far the friendliest place I looked at. I m happy here. Food is good and services are ok.

The residents and staff here are very friendly, the food is good and hallways are bright. Moving from her large home to a studio, the apartment seemed so small at first. Mom has discovered she enjoys the freedom of fewer possessions and not having to prepare meals. I am comfortable leaving Mom at Regal Estates, whereas there were numerous other facilities I would have left her feeling guilty. It helps that she has great-grandchildren nearby!

Azalea Estates has been a very good fit for our family. The Matriarch of our family enjoys staying there, and the rest of the family enjoys peace of mind that she is being well-cared for. It is a comfort to know she receives three meals a day, and staff members are available to check on her at all times. She finds it convenient to be able to have her hair and nails done on site and have transportation available for errands. We have all been pleased with Azalea Estates of Slidell and look forward to our continued relationship.

When my mom & stepdad began searching for assisted living, they heard good things about Garden Estates of Temple from friends who had relatives in this facility. So they toured it, and later brought some of us kids to see it as well. We were impressed with what we saw and heard, so our parents got on the waiting list. They have lived here in assisted living for over a year now. They enjoy the three meals a day, weekly housekeeping and other amenities of assisted living. It is close to their former neighborhood so friends can still visit them, and it's close to the hospitals that they have gone to for years. They have made friends here, and it's a cheerful place for relatives and friends to visit. The staff is wonderful, and each takes their job seriously. They leave no doubt in my mind that my parents and all the residents are given the best of care. The nurses and aides are caring, the dining room staff and chef are top-notch, housekeeping and maintenance do a super job, and the adminstrative staff are always ready to answer questions and help in any way. I would recommend Garden Estates of Temple to anyone needing assisted living. It is a warm, cheerful place.

We have been very pleased with Garden Estates, and I am very glad that my mother is there. The environment is clean, up-to-date, and elegant yet still remains warm and inviting. The overall atmosphere is warm and friendly. Everyone, both staff and residents, are friendly, helpful, and nice. The food is great; we have eaten there with my mother on several occasions. My mother is becoming more active and social every day and looks healthier after only one month. The price is comparable to other retirement/assisted living homes in the area. The most important element for me, however, is that all of the residents appear to be happy.

I was most impressed with the connection to Garden Estates. It was recommended by "A Place for Mom" and by a personal friend. I met first with Judy. She showed me around and explained the services provided. She was most informative and personable. We set up an appointment to bring my mother. The visitation with my mother was "Just Lunch." She got to eat lunch and have a tour of the facility. After my mother decided that this was for her, we scheduled another appointment to work out particulars.

One of the reasons this community was chosen is she had a friend that stayed here and recommended it. The setting is really beautiful and it’s in a very prestigious area (South Shore). They offer plenty of activities to keep someone busy.

Like: Grandma has friends, she has safety and staff to help when she needs it, great balance of independence and care.

The aides are very attentive, and caring. I would recommend to others.

The staff is very friendly. The only consistent issue we've had is getting her laundry done. They've acknowledged it's a problem and I think it's bc they are short staffed. I wanted to provide an important update regarding Greatwood at Sugar Land. I received a letter stating that they are implementing a new “level of care” structure effective [date removed]. According to the letter, my mother’s level of care will be set at $[removed] per month. For context, my mother is on the assisted-living side versus independent living, but the only service they are actually providing for her is medication management. She does not require assistance with showering. As mentioned in my previous review, she does her own laundry because they have not been completing it. Housekeeping is advertised, but what they provide is extremely minimal. Given the limited services she actually receives, I believe a $[removed] monthly increase—communicated with essentially one month’s notice—is unreasonable, and I will be disputing it. The letter was signed only as “Executive Director, Senior Solutions Management Company” with an illegible signature and no individual name or contact information for follow-up, which adds to the concern.

it would help if they up dated a bit. Staff was great. however we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

There are times I put in a work order to repairs minor things that don't get done so I have to ask again and again. The Food is AWFUL. I've sat with my mother during meals and I've ate with her. I am guessing the residents are hungry enough to eat it without complaint. A lot of times I will take mother food or make sure she has something in her room to eat. Just in case she doesn't eat what they serve. But some people who live there don't have anyone to bring them anything. It's actually very sad. The food alone would get a 1. less if possible. Can't stress it enough

They offer a lot to residents. The price is reasonable. The food is not the greatest taste wise. They also don't have an option for residents to get food any time. The bus schedule is great but I've had to drive Grandma to appts because they won't go early (like 8am) or make multiple trips in a day. it's given my loved one friends and an independence with safe boundaries.

Med staff is proactive and communicative with families, ensuring residents get their medical needs satisfied. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The location of Garden Estates is wonderful. Close to shopping, Doctor offices and hospital. I love the location. Paying $[removed]. Rent Laundry has only one working washing machine to share between entire first floor. Laundry room filthy. Scraped up floor. One Stained chair to sit on. Walls covered in deep lint. Several light bulbs burned out. Back door entranced. Beat-up doors. Old paint hit and miss. Carpet stained. Back door as a first impression is very depressing and embarrassing. Management does not use the back door or the laundry room. Also management does not eat the food served to residents. Food is sometimes above average but the majority of the time it is too tough to bite or cut up with the butter knife provided. I don't blame the cooks or the other kitchen staff. They cannot serve better food if only low quality food is provided. Kitchen staff has frequent turnover due to being understaffed and dealing with upset residents who are upset and complaining about the food. Again... they cannot serve better food if only low quality food is provided. Roach and ants reoccurrence. Treatment very temporary. Empty food containers are left open in the hall. Pet food is left on the floors inside rooms. My apartment has offensive smell. I use glade plugins to overwhelm smell but rain amplify smell and no amount of air fresheners help. Smells like cat urine.

Very friendly, nice place, love the all inclusive pricing, surrounded or safe inclusive outdoor courtyard. On another note, we have experienced that communication between the staff (in whole) isn't very good or informed. For example, it was going to get below 20* three days in a row. After those days, on the warmest day (over 32*, they put a message in the residents boxes, saying, it will be cold, stock up on supplies, leave water dripping and cabinet doors open to try and prevent pipes busting. Well, they were supposed to have put it out prior, but they never happened. But, we have had several different instances where on person days something or you call to ask a question and others (front desk) are clueless or don't know anything about it.

We chose Regal Estates of League City because of their kindness during a difficult time. They even helped after hours with advice. The staff have all been so helpful and caring.
